  1. nah, gave me a standard octavia they just called and said they had to replace the secondary coolant pump and thats sorted it, they made sure to say they believed it to be coincidental too. But they've replaced it under the original manufacturer warranty which coincidently was finishing yesterday!
  2. So put the Kodiaq in for an oil service and brake fluid change and the Haldex oil service. Everything was fine before going in this morning and now at 5 pm the engine management light is on now I have arrived to collect. Of course the technician has gone home now I have to leave the car overnight and wait for tomorrow’s diagnostics.☹️☹️
  3. I wondered if I would feel jealous when the new kodiaq came out, I see now I had nothing at all to worry about. More than happy to continue with my current SEL
  4. Just finished my night shifts and thought I'd give the car a good clean in 0 degrees!
  5. yep makes sense, so it's basically bull****.
  6. So, just a query really, there's a garage near me that does a lot of work for skoda, porsche, vw, etc etc including remaps repairs servicing etc. Now they claim that they can do a remap and because they keep the original ecu reference number that a remap cannot be detected by the dealers? Is he bull****ting me or is this a real thing?
  7. Ouch, thank god you clarified that it was parked, I assumed from the first picture she was driving the car at the time! Im thinking I too would be wary if that was repaired no matter how good, Id always feel uncomfortable, I suspect though it'll get written off. Can I ask you a question though as it looks the same as mine ie diesel 4x4. Is it the auto box or manual as I have a manual and was of the opinion these can't have towbars? Off topic I know but would be interested to know if you get a chance and see this.
  8. Now I have to google how to do this without breaking it lol
  9. No, I saw the most, but most of a fix isn't good enough for me.
  10. Aye, old I may be, but I won't be driving out in front of people on a roundabout hopefully. As for compounding out, will that also replace the missing paint?
  11. I managed to swerve out as I saw her out of the corner of my eye but still resulted in a scrape bad enough to gor right through the paint on the nearside rear bumper :-(
  12. Quick update. Seems the fuse was missing for the computer? So looks like I’ve been more Irish than usual☹️☹️☹️ they’ve now sorted it at cost to me of 57 quid but I’ll take it on the nose.
  13. Well it’s taken them 45 minutes so far to ring them up and tell me they cannot seem to connect to the car saying that there doesn’t appear to be a live connection to the on-board computer?
  14. Sorry for the delay, for some reason im not getting notifications of this thread :-/ Anyway, nope not sorted so as Im on two nights now ill have to carry on and go to skoda bedford thursday morning and see what happens, bit worried to be honest as they dont get great reviews. Thanks though for the offer mate.
  15. Excellent, cheers mate.
  16. Can't find a listing on ebay with that picture, can you copy and paste the specific listings title? Or the current cost then I should be able to find it?
  17. Yes, I've removed the cam from that fuse to elsewhere now, I suspect using that one is that triggered something. I may look at a less expensive scanner but certainly the linked ones seller feedback puts me off, as does the reports and warnings of fakes etc.
  18. Im assuming though this would be either really expensive or possibly not enough? ie what about the sos light and found out the auto handbrakes not working either.
  19. Oooh, not gone down the clay route yet, starting slow with washing etc properly and go from there i think.
  20. Indeed, spent another £100 today on stuff!
  21. All sorted this morning after doing chasing lol Been reading it on and off while waiting and theres certainly a ton of info there!
  22. Skoda bedford were also offering a courtesy car, I say courtesy it was £24 with £1000 excess!!! Im not terribly impressed with them at this point i have to say. Im almost tempted to get one of these vcds thingys myself but I'd probably **** something else up lol.
  23. I tried them first, they are booked solid for 2 weeks apparantly :-(
  24. So, Im obviously very naive in thinking I could nip to my local dealer for them to plug in and do a reset but no, they can't do it for me until 5th November! To be fair @ibuprofenn hasn't replied so guess he doesnt frequent the forum anymore, so @DGW you've a message incoming :-)
  25. Still nothing and it says registration on the forums disabled? Been about 3 days now and Ive used the contact us at the bottom to email the forum but nothing, not a thing. Not sure I want to bother with it anymore frankly as its just getting annoying now :-/
