  1. Yep, should've RTFM lol. I've had a look at several of your posts re charging, theme seems to be "low and slow" any recommended chargers? My main issue is Ive a designated space and not right outside my house, had to run the extension lead past 2 neighbours doors and a public footpath, not sure how I feel about leaving that overnight 😞
  2. Bit more googling and have reset the light by turning ignition on and off several times, didn't honestly think that was gonna work! Now to investigate whats the best way of maintaining the battery as mentioned by @nta16 above πŸ‘
  3. Damn, I charged it and it's started no problem but now theres an engine management light on, after further reading (and being old school) thought I could charge like any other car but appears I should have used the post on the chassis for negative 😞 I brought the car to skoda on other side of town about 5 miles and they did a battery health check saying the battery is fine.
  4. Timely post, yesterday I had a low battery warning on my 2021 fabia (pre owned from dealer) with no previous issues. I usually commute 40 miles 5 days a week, i suspect being off this week with no use and the cold and age of battery are to blame for todays non starting. Multimeter states only 11.8v 😞 Popped on charge so will see what happens, hopefully not a new battery!
  5. Bugger you're right, just noticed mines the slightly later facelift πŸ˜•
  6. Β£230? what about this one isn't it the right one? half the price. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/155127147079?hash=item241e4c6a47:g:T7IAAOSwc7RkY68E&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA4N03nm19CsbHIYgN%2Fhoy85pk8%2BfQHSOllQy6YCDF70kDnyhERIk5aW%2B%2Fvsch1TNngYV1nkjIsk8RTG19H2nAdx%2Bdxo%2F4tn71wZd1WiHverPiZwVqmInKNOWsgIm7%2FTDTERQu2qHbHjbGUZ1sVIgXjVlJy611QTLKSlFSt7d5Jn56uFapIDfYuvlD%2BfNQb5ezr5RZqWSibPEPFKDQzivHILTcYmYXhpxQdUFm4klP1tcP1Wdf4P4HQiiCCRI1sKDZixe54nK76wtpDQk57V8gr1JbuyIAc7Pdvk8c4GIond22|tkp%3ABk9SR-bGvpitYg I don't mind second hand
  7. Idiot van driver on m1 deliberately cutting up the inside then slamming on his brakes 🀬IMG_3992.dng
  8. thanks for the reply, they really are an arse to fit, think i have the all correct now but Christ they are hassle. Looking about thouugh even the expensive sets seem similar! Last time I had a gutterless car it had the slots in the roof you just moved the plastic and clamped them on. Skoda should have kept to the simply clever but they didn't it appears in this case.
  9. .... they can't be that shoddy? Instructions are crap, different sized feet for the front and rear and no instructions on which is front or rear, there's 2 holes on the car where I assume the expensive skoda bars fit, the Cruz ones just have one peg so does it matter which hole and does that affect how the bar sits in the frame of the door when shut? Really struggling with this. https://www.roofbox.co.uk/scripts/rbvehsel4_tab.php/roofbars/cruz_optiplus_120cm_roof_bars_2_no_st_120_921_310_/Qx%40w%2C6M4gNax5vN1Yv0vegd3uHKClPkQYUDS1%40ZwrhrVzg1cH1LNLTs`f6vf3xRAH
  10. I realised yesterday why I've been enjoying driving my little 1.0 Mpi having gone from a 2.0 kodiak. It reminds me of my first car which was a 998cc 1976 mini. They both drive/drove like they're on rails. Great fun.
  11. Apologies for the delay, I forgot yesterday morning, remembered in the evening but forgot to post until now. So my 2021 1.0 MPi in 5th gear at 3000rpm does exactly 60mph, 3500 is 70mph and 4000 for 80mph. Hope this helps mate.
  12. Dunno, but if I remember on the way to work in the morning Ill check.
  13. Nope, as I say, not the same as mine. Excellent! mines exactly as you described as you can see from my picture above. I assumed the torx was actually for removing the jets so didn't want to fiddle with it I have to admit! Right, off to the shed to find a torx head to fit!
  14. Any luck with this as mine are too high 😞 half the fluids shooting over the roof. The video posted of the mark 4 golf didn't help as they are different
  15. Dammit, ignore me chaps. I thought it had a low floor but it doesn't, I just looked again and can only assume I thought this due to the fact the rear fold down seats stay above the level of the boot floor. I'm an eejit.
  16. Hi all, looking for a liner that protects the back of the seats and the sides, not just a base mat if you see what I mean? I had one in the kodiak that I bought from Travelsmart which was spot on but looking at the one for the Fabia at https://www.travelsmartbootliners.co.uk/skoda-fabia-car-boot-liner-and-bumper-flap/ the pictures and the line that states "Designed as a universal fit to suit most cars" concerns me because I don't think it will fit well given the Fabia has a "sunken" floor? I've seen the ones at Hatchbag and Titan covers that are 2 to 4 times the price😐 So wondered if anyone has a travelsmart one to see if they recommend them or not?
  17. Yep, fuel seems better by a reasonable margin. Very happy with the Fabia, surprisingly more than I thought. πŸ™‚
  18. From this to this Talk about downsizing! But yes I've actually done it. I loved the Kodiak, but life priorities have changed and since buying a motorhome and using that for our trips to Ireland and family etc my Kodiak was only used for a 44 round mile commute 3-4 days a week and costing me Β£375 a month in finance alone. The Fabia? Β£157 a month, just got an extra Β£218 a month in my pocket and very happy with the fabia too!
  19. Kopacek is the one, which is of course the web addy but as soon as I saw "superskoda" I knew it was the right one, and it is! Top man @skomazπŸ‘
  20. ...... and google ain't helping at all! There was an online shop, possibly a german one that did all sorts of spares and accessories which I wanted to browse as I've just bought another skoda? All I remember is that it was mainly black background and did lots of parts and accessories and Im sure it was German? Not much to go on I know but hope someone will know what Im after?
  21. Well, all sorted, went and got it read with a hope of a repair (took 4 hours for them to read it and tell me they didnt have the part) Booked in again a week later and all fixed, 'twas a faulty DPF sensor. Now with a bit of luck I'll get the car sold this week πŸ™‚
  22. Yeah, I thought it was an oddity but looks like its back so booked into get it read next week at local dealer
  23. Hmmmm maybe not, after topping up the adblue its gone.
  24. That's annoying, it did the same thing 2 months or so ago right after it's 30000 mile service and the dealer replaced the secondary coolant pump which fixed it. But yesterday morning it's on again, no other symptoms at all though I do need to top up the adblue as its telling me only 1000 miles left in it so that's a job this morning. Guess I'll have to take a trip to the dealers πŸ˜•
  25. Certainly when I just had mine serviced they said the haldex needed doing and the brake fluid and I did have them done. Mind you, when I picked it up there was an engine management light that turned out to be a secondary coolant pump which needed replacing. Coincidence? Or could this "coolant" pump be the haldex pump. I didn't feel like it had been a great experience thats for sure.
