MY21 1.5TSI Broke down today
Well I’m glad they finally came to that conclusion…even if it was ridiculously slow and poorly informed. Have a lovely holiday!

MY21 1.5TSI Broke down today
Yes very infuriating they should have been more transparent and proactive. I’m unsure why they didn’t send any sort of report of your car but I suppose it could vary from franchise to franchise. I would imagine they should have the capabilities to diagnose the vehicle I’m just not quite sure why they can’t but I suppose there’ll never be a straight answer to that question. Shame my car isn’t compatible with the mySkoda app, would’ve really liked to be able to use those features. Strongly dislike hire cars, last time we had one they tried to charge us £300 for two basically invisible and I mean you had to look from the side on with the correct lighting to see these minute dents.

Also did they send you a health report of your vehicle? I’m not sure which dealership you’re with but previous experience with Toyota and Skoda is RRG, Lookers and DM Keith send a health report when they first assess the car this usually comes with a video that’s sent to you.

MY21 1.5TSI Broke down today
Yeh they should have informed you of progress. My experience with dealerships is after the first day of my car being there they contact me if they haven’t made a diagnosis or what they plan on doing. Not sure what they mean by it needed to go to “technical”, surely it should’ve been with technicians when it was handed over as they have the necessary knowledge and tools to diagnose and repair. In regards to the app I have noticed some people have claimed that the app is inaccurate at times and can report incorrect information about whether the doors are locked. I would ask them how long do they think this will take. At least you’re not putting mileage and wear on your car I suppose 🤷🏼

MY21 1.5TSI Broke down today
I self diagnosed the issue with an OBDeleven device to find that I had a fuel rail issue. Ive also now got an issue with the fuel pump water sensor. I did tell the dealership that issue I had detected. Obviously too late for that now but I don’t understand how they haven’t discovered the issue yet seeing as the engine detected an issue and activated EPC.

MY21 1.5TSI Broke down today
Whilst my car didn't have issues starting I had power issues other than the car would cut the engine because of stop start and then not restart. My car had a faulty fuel rail sensor took a few hours to fix. The EPC light basically says that you need to take your car in for service ASAP but leaves it moveable and the speedo with an arrow shows the engine is limited. Virtually couldn't drive mine because there was no power and it held onto gears for so long.

Karoq EPC Light on then off
It was a faulty fuel pressure sensor, seems to have fixed the EPC light. Now I’ve just some new problems with a creaking&crashing suspension, like a scraping noise when the windscreen wiper wipes and a lot of rattle coming from my overhead console... not sure what there would be covered under warranty but hey ho

Oh really? How long did this take from start to finish? I have to be in London on the 18th so I need my car but I want to get it fixed prior to that.

2.0tsi Karoq sport line
I have a 2.0 TDI 4x4 MY20 Karoq. Personally I think it comes with quite a bit of stuff really like the panoramic sunroof which is standard for Sportline. Only real gripe with the car is that it doesn't have ACC installed so if you do get one I'd get ACC if you do a lot of motorway miles. Otherwise it's pretty good. In terms of mpg I get around 30-37 in city (I can be quite a lively driver) on motorway it hovers around 42mpg highest I've ever managed to get it to do is 46mpg. I think the new MY21 Karoq's don't really come with 4x4 I think only the top engines do and whilst its great knowing you have it, i've not had an instance where I'd need it nor do I think i'd never need it so in the long run probably better to go for the 2 wheel drive unless you know you'd need the system as its extra weight and fuel consumption. Personally I think the Sportline looks the best out of all the trims you can get as its the only full paintwork (basically) Karoq you can get, I'm not a fan of black bumpers. In terms of ride quality mine doesn't have DCC like CJJE's which I think you can make the springs softer or firmer and I do find the car can be quite bumpy at times but generally its just unnoticable so really its not that bad and again like CJJEthis is my first Karoq so I cannot make a comparison. If you are going to get extras (because it is quite expensive already) I'd get virtual cockpit for sure because its just very useful in my eyes and I'd probably get ACC with it but obviously only if you need it.

Error codes
Had issues with EPC & today car cut the engine off with stop start at the traffic lights and then wouldn't reignite so I had to manually restart it so I think I'd have to get it to the dealership very soon. Just wanted to know if anyone can enlighten me on what to expect given the following error codes - Engine Coolant pump for charge pressure cooler Mechanical Malfunction P190D00 Intermittent Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor "A" Circuit Range/Performance P019100 Intermittent Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High P008800 Intermittent Air Conditioning Function restriction by engine control module P171900 Intermittent Adaptive cruise control sensor Restricted view C110BF0 Intermittent Multimedia Optical data bus for display in instrument cluster Sporadic disruption U10CF00 Intermittent Start System Interface U112200 Intermittent A lot of error codes, some are related to eachother I believe such as Fuel rail errors and the AC errors could be linked and may be the result of the EPC light (which by the way according to the manual says is for petrol cars and I have a diesel????) The cruise control thing just popped up today it snowed a bit so that might be it. For multimedia I can only think its something to do with apple carplay crashing constantly Not sure what the start stop thing is though, thats been there since I did my first scan All scans were done on OBDeleven

New Karoq battery issue
Interesting, I've been having issues with my Karoq lately its almost a year old and I was stopped at a traffic lights today and the stop/start must have kicked in and about a minute later I pressed on the accellerator and nothing the engine didn't reignite so I had to put it in park and start it again and it took about 30 seconds to get it going again not sure why but I suspect its related to the battery.

Virtual dashboard
I think you can change the screens (maybe the default) within the infotainment system if you go to vehicle>virtual cockpit I think you can also enable/disable screens by holding down one of the buttons on the right hand side of the steering wheel

Karoq EPC Light on then off
Hi all, I've had my Karoq for about 6 weeks now and I've driven 2000 miles. I had an instance where the car's auto stop start stalled when at a junction because I was rolling and accellerated then I couldn't get the car started for about a minute and then it was fine. When I got home I pulled up and later went out again this time there was an EPC Warning light on the dash but it didn't specify what that was for and at the time I had no idea what it was so i drove on to realise that the car was basically undrivable. After restarting it the EPC light dissapeared and all was back to normal. Come forward to today I just got home yesterday from a day out (about 100 mile round trip) and went to the shops this morning and I just had to go out again and the EPC came back on. After driving for 15 mins I restarted the car and it went off again. Should I be concerned about it considering it turns on and off with a restart? (provided that I drive for a few minutes and then restart it, restarting it on the spot doesn't clear it) What could be the possible issues causing it? If I need to go into dealership for repairs how much will it cost me (it's still under warranty) In the case of the car stalling by itself is that normal or should that not really be happening Car only stalls when around 2-5mph and the engine cuts and I press the pedal (only happens on occasion) My car is - 2.0 TDI 7sp DSG 4x4 registered in Jan of 2020 (I believe that makes it MY20) From what I've checked there are no outstanding recalls. I did buy this car second hand with 9.5k on the clock but when test driving it everything was perfect.
