  2. No idea, the manual doesn't make any reference to them as I checked that yesterday. If they light up it could be some sort of confirmation for technicians, but I doubt we'll hear a definitive answer.
  3. Kia Soul, so I'm going electric!
  4. When I say going, I mean I'm trading it in for something completely different that's not from the VW group.
  5. Oddly I'd not spotted it until looking at the photo. I'm not worried about it as the car is going next weekend.
  6. Here's a shot of mine from when I got home from Tesco this morning. The low fuel light had just come on. It's a 2021 SE L, built week 1 2021.
  7. I believe the light units are ventilated so fogging can happen. Here's a snippet from the car's manual.
  8. Over the last week or so my Kamiq SEL has been trying to install an update to the electronic user manual but it kept failing with the error code ERR_1002_DM_IN and an instruction to contact a specialist garage. Yesterday I managed to resolve it far more easily than I expected and without the assistance of a dealer. I have my music on a memory stick which is left plugged in all the time and it appears that was the issue. I unplugged it at the start of a journey, but after the infotainment had booted up and the update failed once more. However I left it out and on the return journey it worked, although it took 10 or 15 minutes to install. I did use the radio to have something to listen to. No idea if it's specific to the memory stick or whether it's a USB socket being in use. The stick is always left in the furthest forward socket so I can use my phone for Android Auto when I want, though admittedly that's not often. Hope that's useful to someone at some point.
  9. I recently had to refill the reservoir for the first time at around 7000 miles. I did it the day the light came on and it took about 1.75 litres. If you can get someone to run the front washers while you look under the car, that's how I diagnosed an issue back in 2000 on a MK1 Fabia. Also try it with the rear and look for any drips under the car. Admittedly the first hint I had was no fluid coming out of the washers.
  10. That matches my factory fit camera, I don't have park assist.
  11. Looking at the How Many Left site suggests that by the end of June 2021 there were around 6000 Scala's registered in the UK. By contrast the Kamiq has been around a shorter time and has around double the number. I think we read somewhere that they are built on the same line, so it's probably just not as popular.
  12. I asked my dealer in March and they said it couldn't be done.
  13. Six months is nonsense. Most Kamiqs in the UK will be on fixed term servicing which is either every year or 10,000 miles (actually 15,000km, so the alert is closer to 9400). Some Kamiqs will be on long life servicing which is up to 2 years or 20,000 miles, but this will be checking the condition of the oil, so may come up earlier. Generally this is only cars doing high mileage.
  14. I had issues with an iPod Touch doing similar things. In the end, based on a recommendation on this site I got a new memory stick from Argos, item number 784/5251. Seems to have been reliable as long as it's left plugged in.
  15. Just been out to check and I wasn't quite right. It's under the dash in the footwell. Put your foot on the accelerator, then your right arm against your leg and you should be able to locate it easily by touch.
