  1. I am 4 time skoda owner Octavia and Superbs and they have been brilliant with no serious issues. Should I worry about getting a Fabia and which Mark? Probably can only afford a MK 2…. Thanks
  2. I’m totally confused. When I heard on here I could use IOG for my Elroq I effectively signed up . I have a relatively old BP charge master which as far as I am aware is not smart. I think I got a session to work once but failed so often gave up. Even trying to do instant charging failed as octopus takes over and schedules the charging only for me to wake up to a red light on the charger and no charge in the Elroq. Found a work around by being a GUEST user when I turn on the Elroq and go into private mode . Car then charges on instant charging. Set it off at 10:30 … I am presume I get the 6 hours IOG cheap rate as car needs that time a more to go from 20 to 80…. Is my presumption correct and Any better ideas out there for charging I could try . Thanks
  3. Just in case anyone interested the charger is a bp chargemaster that is 7 years old !
  4. A bit of a pfaff and in the end not sure what I did but right now the car is charging via the Octopus app using Intelligent Octopus Go…. A schedule set up by octopus to get us to 80% using the 6 hours of cheap time plus a couple of other hours before than at Octopus’ choosing …. Thanks for the heads up . The technology is baffling and hopefully all goes well as car down to 2%
  5. Thanks for the posting about Intelligent Octopus Go….. this was definitely not the case back at end of May when we ordered the car and have had trouble charging on scheduled time but will try this now
  6. Sorry, yes did that but still could not get schedule time to start. Working on principle that will simply charge car with full 5 hour slot and having charge % down below half by starting at 10pm.
  7. How did you get on the next time you tried 🤔
  8. Not noticeable so far… same options as on my Superb MK3 but with the added option of Sound. Normal or Sport 🤭 Annoying that Mode has to be set every time you get in the car. I rarely change it in my S3 that I can’t find the button and it was only this year realised why my dash shows E and the gear I am in, which changes to S if I flick the the gear change to sport rather than D and gear I am in . All because DCC set to Eco. Nothing like that of course with the Elroq on the Dash
  9. Thanks our screen looks like this
  10. Currently cannot get our new Elroq to charge at a scheduled time. Does charge immediately though. Ideally like most people want to have benefit of cheap charging overnight. We are with Octopus Go so have the hours from 00:30 much later than bedtime. I’m wondering if it’s to do with out BP Chargemaster charger or more likely the car since the charger works in immediate mode but not really a smart charge - no interface- . Just a case of the car switching to please charge me now mode , so to speak . Thoughts please …. As car so new picked up last week doubting anything like Fuse 3 issue. I’ve read . Thanks
  11. Car fine - charging not… cannot get the car to charge at a scheduled time. Will only charge immediately so missing out on Octopus 5 hour cheap electricity at night. Any thoughts ? Thanks
  12. Had a surprise this morning. Skoda dealer calls to say our new car has arrived and ready for collection tomorrow. Will be something of a rarity as one of the last 85 SportlLine with DCC…. Hoping the Black Magic Pearl Effect looks better in the flesh so to speak 🤞🏻
  13. So lucky me - thank you for taking the time for the response. Wife’s car hopefully arrives late June and I’ll give a view on whether the DCC is noticeable on the 85 sport line
  14. Steve153, thanks for the info. One bit really interests me. When you say you can stay on the tariff if you charge once per month on the IOG tariff, you can turn off smart charging but still get the longer hours. Now I see two scenarios for how you can be in this position. 1) one's previous car worked with the charger you have and was able to register for the tariff, BUT now you have a new car but do not change your car somewhere in the App. 2) one sign's up picking any car that combines with your particular charger that works and so you can switch.. After that you are on your own and switch off smart charging and FINGERS CROSSED your car charges without any trouble..... that bit actually troubles me.
  15. So where has the Drivers Pack gone... Apparently stock cars have it included but as someone pointed out cannot select the option on the Skoda UK Configurator... Dealers can't add it either! So was the Drivers pack just the Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) or other bits as well? How else can you add DCC ? Is DCC even available on any UK spec Elroq cars ? Also I am presuming the DCC is the same as available in my 2016 Skoda Superb - where you switch suspension ride between Comfort, Firm etc options
  16. I am presuming the standard Octopus GO works which gives 4 hours of off peak rate and not the Intelligent one (7 hours ?) ? We had a Peugeot 2008 and GO worked but not Intelligent GO... same with Zoe before that.... Would be annoying if there was an issue with just charging.
  17. Steve153, thank you all good. You have saved me looking on Octopus.... hopefully it will be added at some point. Being a long time Superb owner myself and having lost one of my two umbrellas I had my wife ask for another brolley are part of the deal to buy the car yesterday :+)... Another brolley going in the 85 on arrival as well.
  18. YESTERDAY..... 85 Sportline with about almost everything added even the Drivers Pack - that is no longer on the Skoda UK configurator.. Not sure how that works. My question is based on others first experiences have we made the right decision? I tried logging into the Forum via my phone the last couple of days and login just was not working. And since I have not been on myself for a few years I wondered if the site was down. Anything we should look out for good or bad, or things we should do when it arrives either later June / early July. Thanks..
  19. Have we made the right decision? I've been dormant for a few years but my Skoda Mk III ordered in 2015 is still with me and now at 157,000 miles. Wife has now ordered an Elroq in super quick time. She has not even test driven it having left that to me. My question is have we made the right decision and I KNOW I should have looked here first but frankly was unable to log in via my iphone and with Elroq not showing on the list of cars I thought the website may have died. Tried on my pc just now and I see you are still up and running. I am sure as we get used to our new baby we will be here more often than I need to than the fully matured adult of the Superb!
  20. Would appreciate users opinions here. I want to get an OBD device to read and clear faults that are associated with the engine management light mainly to see if I need to take them seriously or not! Never want to code anything, but if there are simple setting changes, which I may be interested in, I would perhaps like that option. At the same time I am worried that if I activate something and then change my mind I could (m)uck things up! I have a 2016 L&K if that helps in your suggestions but which device should I go for. Oh should have said want to spend less than £100. Many thanks
  21. Just following up as promised . My MKIII passed its MOT today with not even a single advisory .... very happy but at same time angry with the main dealer and this needs a complaint to Skoda UK . Really hope no one else here is treats by their Skoda main dealer in the same way .
  22. Uncanny had pretty much same issue with having to replace battery but engine light was already on which I believed was caused by car stalling after only just getting started. So on Thursday had to take my car for MOT runs out on Monday at dealer and thought nothing of the engine light assuming they would just clear it and everything goes away. How wrong could I be . Got call from dealer a couple of hours later saying cannot clear the error messages including most of those listed above but repeated here for other to refer to U112300 Data bus signal reception P067400 Glow plug cyl 4 defective P05A000 Radiator blind component stuck open U042800 steering wheel angle sensor signal improbable P003000 O2 sensor heated circuit bank1 sensor 1 open circuit P060600 Control unit component defective Dealer informs me with new stricter rules light on is auto MOT failure - which I believe is true. Only suggestions from dealer 1) replace the fault units including the ECU best they could do £2,300 or trade in my MK3 for a good deal Took my Mk3 away and decided on off chance to go to small independent garage. Did the OBD check for me and they ALL cleared . They drove my car for 3 miles and they stayed off. Fingers crossed going back to them for the MOT on Wednesday . Hope this helps other possibly avoiding similar fate to me of possibly spending £2,300 for no reason as would never know if I simply let the dealer do what they said required. Ok so my car could fail its MOT on Wednesday for this or other reason - issue with misty shock for one example that Skoda have passed last 2 years to avoid it being a warranty replacement. Now out of warranty 106K. Also saw lights may take a couple of days to come back on as system resets. No idea but not driving car again until taking it to the garage on Wednesday for the MOT. Will let folks know !
  23. UNBELIVABLE. made more so with HOZZ saying he had his battery replaced after 4 years 11 months under warranty. because I complained about my battery for a while before the 100,000 extended warranty. The dealer put the battery on charge for me and said it was ok! that was November. In February in the cold spell I stopped at a petrol station and it would not start. Got home with a jump start and had Halfords replace the battery . Chap said battery was 0%. Car run smoothly since then but of course I had to pay as car now at 104,000 miles and out of warranty. So today the saga of the Engine Management light. I was given a quote for all the things needed including the defective unit for over £2K and of course it will be an MOT failure per new rules if not sorted. Cannot afford the £2K right now and was suggested I consider trading in. I decided to take car away and have a think with MOT ending MONDAY. Decided to take to a local garage and persuaded them to run the codes , clear them and see what happens. They did all that took the car for a 3 mile test drive and guess what? Yup no Engine Management light . I feel sick and this will be a divorce for me with the Skoda main dealer I am afraid. I have lost total trust. Clearly they did not clear the errors and see what came back. The errors likely came up when the battery failed and the new battery would not raise the faults.
  24. Timing is everything . Just took my 5 year old 16 plate 106K miles for pre MOT check and it is going to FAIL. BIG Issue the EMU Light is constantly on ORANGE Dealer cannot eliminate the light with a range of POSSIBLE problems Cost to replace the EMU £1,200 for the PART plus labour on top, but then do not know which of the errors showing still need doing or not estimate another £800 is all of them for parts. What should I do? Any sensible ideas much appreciated as got 4 days to MOT runs out Oh to keep the list going issues with car in its entire history Window chrome trims keep coming out - fixed once before Passenger door handle repaired once now broken part and the handle is £200 due to the key sensor EMU enough said light been on before and has gone off without any action Rear washer failed - fixed and again not working well Battery - yes this eventually went in February and I suspect the cause of the EMU light coming on when in car would stalled just after starting in the cold snap Front shock absorber excess grease / misting - another past MOT advisory and not covered when under warranty BUT that is it. LOVE my car but can't afford £2K+ right now to repair.
