Delivery times?
Update today. Being quoted delivery for 3rd week in April (after initially being given a heart attack with a build week of 1st NOVEMBER!!) Fingers crossed it doesn’t slip - getting properly excited now.

Delivery times?
Ordered Dec 18th and still waiting for a build date so not expecting it for at least 8 weeks so end April now (although I was quoted 16 weeks on order so guess it's slipped). I am noticing that Diesel orders seem to be getting build quicker so may be target based...

XDS, or EDL, or XDL+ electronic differential lock - is it supplied at all in the UK?
My understanding is that the petrol has a 'proper' mechanical LSD whereas the rest of the range have the 'pseudo' one that applies the brakes on the inside wheel to minimise slippage and possibly does some power shifting (I have the XDS on my Leon - not sure how much effect it has and whether the plus version is move effective.) Presumably the 4x4 does torque vectoring anyway so braking the inside wheel (done in software) is sufficient?

VRS mk4 Sound acutator
The demo I drove didn't have it so I'd hoped UK models were coming without...I'm assuming that if the new one is piped via the stereo rather than separate hardware that it's harder to disable than pulling a fuse (at least until OBD / VDCS become compatible with the latest models) in which case I'll be asking the question of my dealer if it's obtrusive (I realise why some people may want it, but if I wanted a V/flat 6 I'd have bought one...I think it's so subjective that it should be able to be disabled by default, not have to go into an individual mode to do so)

Delivery times?
Ordered 18th Dec, quoted 16 weeks and current status is awaiting f confirmed build week from the factory (so it’s probably still at least 8 weeks from delivery). I’ve seen people with TDi and Hybrids coming and going so wonder if they are being fast tracked to meet CO2 targets? (My order was TSi DSG with just the camera as an option).

VRS mk4 Sound acutator
I’m in this camp and hoping mine doesn’t come with an actuator (or sound enabled via the stereo if this is what the mk4 has), or at the very least the ability to disable it in all modes (inc normal if this is the default).

Heated steering
Still listed as standard on the configuratior but that could lag behind I guess. Seen a couple of dealer reveals on YouTube without it though so wonder if they had a shortage of the right steering wheels or something (saw the same happen with a load of Leon’s built without gearshift paddles that Seat ended up discounting). Definitely worth complaining about though, and certainly worth at least a couple of services (if you didn’t already get a servicing pack chucked in).

Lead in time for Vrs
I need to spend less time on this forum...all these good news 'earlier than expected' stories getting my hopes up, but still no build week scheduled (guessing that means it's not for at least the next 4 weeks).

Heated steering
Nothing other than the price as far as I can tell for the vRS. I did a car spec card when I ordered mine (18th) and again after the change and can’t see any difference. The disclaimer says about technical spec, but I see this more as an emissions based change rather than an advertised feature being fundamentally absent so if the heated steering wheel I missing when I eventually pick mine up I won’t be particularly happy (whether im likely to use it regularly or not is another matter!)

New 2021 VRS running in
It's still part of the spec, and was in December when I ordered mine as well (rim temperature controlled)...not sure but is there an option to turn it on in the infotainment - in which case it may be that you've had the wrong steering wheel fitted?

Lead in time for Vrs
Ordered mine 18th December (TSi, DSG with the reverse camera as the only option), dealer quoted April delivery but apparently build week hasn't been confirmed yet. @VRSfan_78 what spec did you order, and is that build week confirmed from the factory or a preliminary estimate (I'm wondering whether it's too early to start getting concerned!!)

Octavia Mk IV irritations: poor LED lights and Auto hold traumas!
I wonder if some of the perceived issues with the standard lights are due to the slightly more ‘harsh’ upper level cut off compared to some non-led lights (seeing that some of the commenters are coming from xenons)? I had the same perception when I got my current (non-Skoda but I’m assuming most of the vag reflector tech is similar) car as there was a straight line cut off at the top, but I soon got used to it. Having said that I’m looking forward to when my vRS arrives to see what the matrix ones are like!!

New VRS suspension
I’ve ordered a vrs and decided after a test drive to not bother with dcc after initially thinking it would be a must have. Coming from a Leon FR with the standard 17” wheels I thought the vrs on 19s was as smooth, if not more so so was happy to save the cash. Definitely go for a test if you can though as I guess these things depend on what your definition of firm is!

Camera on VRS (UK)
Looking at buying a VRS but I've currently got a Leon with mirror dip in reverse (manual seats) and have got really used to it. As the memory function is only available with electric seats (and they're not available on the VRS) am coming round to the camera but it comes with high functionality rear lights in the UK, and there doesn't seem to be a lower price to put it on a car that already comes with this option (like the VRS). As paying the same for less extra grates me a bit - does anyone know if Park Aid (self parking) comes with a camera as well (trying to work out how else it does reverse bay parking if there isn't a car in the bay either side without some kind of optical tech...
