It’s very close in a left had drive car, but in RHD if you want the camera on the passenger side, you need a bit of a longer cable (especially since it next to bend back on itself also)

Just got 46.3 (according to the app) on a 55 mile trip down a single lane A road (with some spirited overtakes). Only 1.5k miles in so pretty chuffed!

It doesn’t charge off the engine - it’s a plug in hybrid not a Prius type. It will top up the battery from braking so how much it charges while driving is entirely dependant on driving style and the route, rather than being time based. Otherwise it needs to be plugged in to charge. (Apologies if I’ve misinterpreted the question).

I have 2 - haven't taken all the other stuff out the boot but it's going into the dealership on Monday to be looked at (as well as a couple of software issues and seeing if they can turn off the fake sound in normal before I unplug it). I'll try taking the floor and polystyrene out over the next couple of days as well, just to check. Does sound like something's loose, almost in the region of the passenger side rear wheel...

No idea what Webasto is I’m afraid. It’s a standard uk petrol vrs but I’ll check the software version tomorrow.

Definitely works - I can’t select any temperature etc and it appears to just turn the fans on (guess to air the car before getting back to it on a hot day maybe?)

Original order was Metallic Grey with reverse camera, ended up with Black and Winter Pack + Wireless Charging. I've always had Black cars but didn't with the vRS due to the black lettering on the back...but in the flesh it looks pretty decent so the colour isn't an issue. The camera was more for my wife who's used to having one in her usual car so I may get an after market but will see how it goes for a bit...

Just to come back on this one - I gave up waiting but pointed out to my dealer that I wasn't happy that they hadn't kept me informed, nor chased up the moving build dates until I got in touch so they sold me a car they'd bought in to be their new demonstrator instead (not the spec I ideally wanted but I'm OK with it) and I picked it up over the weekend. Latest build date expectation was end July but I had no confidence in that, I just hope others have a better experience and some consistency is established.

Definitely the interior sound, but this is a standard vRS and not the iV so may well be different (think it only has the internal sound). I’ll have a better look at the fuse panel when I have a bit more time and see whether there are any present that state not used in the manual...

Says it turns on ventilation - doesn't say what temp / settings it has though (I didn't actually go to the car and check it had worked though - just checked that it says it works in the app)

OK - so I just looked in the fuse box (VRS, built end Feb) and that slot is empty. Definitely got the fake sound though...wonder if it's piggy-backed off something else (I checked the other 2 10a fuses present but neither of them were relevant either).

I was rather hoping they were doing away with the soundaktor (the car I test drove didn’t have one) but I understand they removed the heating steering wheel and added the fake noise as an improvement on more recent builds. I believe the older ones could either be disconnected or a fuse removed so I’ll be looking at both these options in lieu of the ability to disable with vcds (don’t really want fake noise in any mode) otherwise I’ll ask my dealer to disable it.

I'm still waiting for the results of Skoda UK talking to the factory to try and work out why my lead time went from 16 weeks to 50 weeks to 18 weeks to 52 weeks to 46 weeks and the latest is 29 weeks (build date week 27). There doesn't seem to be any pattern as to what models are being prioritised, or whether any specific option is leading to a delay (I thought they were prioritising hybrids over TSi to meet CO2 targets but see that someone has been waiting since before I ordered for a hybrid, whereas other hybrid orders placed in January are already delivered!). I almost wish this forum wasn't here - then at least I'd be in blissful ignorance

They're still talking apparently - Skoda UK sales are talking to Skoda Europe who are talking to the factory - hoping to have some news tomorrow (still gutting to see people placing orders this month getting ETAs months in advance of mine but there you go...) Spec was fairly standard - TSi hatch, DSG with the Reversing Camera and Rear Wiper as the only options (in Metallic Grey)

37!!?? Is your right foot made of lead (currently got the 1.4 and I'm averaging high 40s - I suspect that won't be quite as good once the VRS arrives (if it arrives).

I’ve got the older 1.4 ACT in Leon guise currently - about 99% of the time I don’t notice any transition, just under certain conditions & engine load you can feel a slight blip as it does it.

Could be the ACT engaging / disengaging? (Does it coincide with the Eco light coming on or off)

Black is ok (I’m currently on Black Seat # 4) but think it looks weird with the black badges on the back - may as well not have them since they’re invisible. I would prefer the camera though - got used to a dipping reverse mirror on my Leon, and I think my wife would be more comfortable having one for when she drives... We’ll see what dealer support come up with though.

Just an update that the manager at my local dealership has got back to me (after Skoda emailed him) but he's not been able to get an answer why the dates keep moving around so much (could be quota, could be availability of the reverse camera part, could be a computer 'fanny' - my terminology since I work in IT and know these things do happen). Hope to have a definitive answer in the next day or so (they have a car in dealer stock that I may be able to have if there is no joy, but it doesn't have the camera, and is black which wasn't my preferred colour so I'd rather get the spec I ordered really...)

It’s worth noting that anything that’s more than 4 weeks in the future is likely to be an unconfirmed build date and subject to change. But yes, the inconsistencies are pretty alarming (an order placed 4 days before mine is built and awaiting shipment, and mine has an unconfirmed build date still that’s still 16 weeks away, and later than that given to @Aarond who placed their order 8 weeks after I did)... I’ve also not been given any of this information from my dealer - I’ve had to contact Skoda via chat on the website otherwise I’d be blissfully unaware that my original delivery date at the end of this month isn’t going to be met. Skoda have said they’re contacting the dealer as they may be able to do something via their sales channel but I’m not holding my breath.

Well looks like I'm no longer about to be a Skoda owner - after being told last week that I should expect delivery Week 15 (2 weeks longer than the original dealer estimate of 16 weeks from Dec 18th), I've now been told that build isn't till week 30 (so 9 months from order by the time I get it) so unless my dealer can do something about it I'll be cancelling the order and going elsewhere. Disappointing considering the only option was the reversing camera. I'd be interested to know the specs / location of people who ordered around the same time (Dec 18th) or after who have already received their cars since I'm pretty sure there are quite a few of you!

Really depends on what you ordered and what expected wait time you were given. The factory only schedules confirmed build dates 4 weeks in advance, and delivery to the uk is being estimated as 4 weeks (ish) so unless you were told to expect delivery less than 14 weeks after ordering you’re still in the nothing to worry about territory. (I ordered Dec 18th so 6 weeks-ish before you, was given estimate of 16 weeks but only got the build confirmed last week so suspecting it’s slipped a couple of weeks from the original estimate. Expecting delivery 3rd week of April apparently).
