  1. I think you're spot on with that. The wiring from the garage isn't great so I did suspect the socket might have had something to do with it. By coincidence my new Type 2 Tethered charging cable came today so I have just swapped out the Type 1 cable I used to have for my Leaf and fitted the Type 2. The granny charger was always just going to be a short term fix but given what happened this morning I'm glad to be back to using a proper ev charger now.
  2. Took a few attempts but got going in the end. Only had the car a month so was getting concerned!
  3. Hi, Left my Superb iV plugged in overnight so was expecting a full charge. On the front charge flap there is a solid green light which shows it is fully charged but the battery is in fact flat!! The dash display on the car shows it is flat. On the granny charger, there are two green lights and the bottom green light is flashing green rapidly. Has anyone come across this before? I can't find anything in the manual...
  4. Is the car activated in the MySkoda app? You need to run the app and press the unlock button on two of the keys whilst following the instructions on the screen. I think this is the first step in setting up profiles.
  5. A bit of car detailing 'clay' would be worth a try. It's great at removing anything that is stuck to paint work.
  6. That's nasty. I woke up to find a large scratch across the drivers door on my wifes car last year - it happened overnight whilst it was parked on the driveway. I got a couple of quoyes, chips away was £150+vat, a local body shop was £400+vat
  7. The above instructions worked a treat thank you. Each key now seems to remember the seat settings (I haven't tried other settings yet)... it would be nice if the seat moved before you sat on at as I have to squeeze in if my wife's been using it but I'm content with sitting in it and then the seat moving.
  8. I think that answers my above question so will give that a go!
  9. @greg_aniolgald to managed to get yours working. Like you, regardless of the cars price, if something should work I want it to work! I'm still struggling with programming the keys. I've set up two seperate user accounts online and added them as user profiles on the car. I have two keys linked to the car but neither seem to be linked to a profile/user. The way you've managed to set yours up, are the users linked to the key or do you need to select the user from the display in order to activate their profile. I have to do the latter but desperately trying to link the settings with the key. I might try a factory reset on the seeings and see if by fluke I manage to get it working!
  10. @DaveSuperbdid you have any joy with the personalisation settings? I've just picked up my Superb iV but having the same problem you had!
  11. I got my 2020 Superb iV today. It'll be our sole car come spring time and having the ability to assign user profiles to the key was a big plus for me. Unfortunately I am having the same issues as @Funkstain with my menus having no such options. I'm left using the memory buttons on the seat and userprofiles on the start up screen. @greg_aniol I'd be interested to hear how you get on with Skoda customer services if you wouldn't mind updating this thread please.
  12. Thank you! I'm comparing a Jan 2020 model with a September 2020 model so pretty confident one will be the older model, I'm just trying to understand if i should hold out for a 2021 or settle on the 2020.
  13. Hello, I'm new the forums but was hoping for some advice please on the difference between the 2020 and 2021 build of the Superb iV. From searching the forum it looks like the steering wheel is different plus maybe the firmware on the infotainment system? Also looks like the 2021 may have removed couple of bits the 2020 had? Reason for the question is that I'm considering buying a 2020 build but might hold out for a 2021 build if that offers better spec? Thanks in advance for any guidance!
