  1. When I enquired with my insurance company (Allianz) they just don't insure any modifications, full stop. It sounds like from the above posts that the new tyre size may not work anyway but good to know.
  2. Thanks. Current insurance provider won't insure modifications so I'll shelve this idea for know.
  3. Has anyone tried slightly different tyre size from the standard. I'm running 235 45 r18 but there seems to be some very competitive pricing on 245 40 r18. I'm aware what the physical differences are but keen to hear from anyone who has actually had these fitted.. any issues?
  4. Shame no one is doing this in the UK yet. I'd definitely be interested.
  5. I never did manage to find out how to do this but would be keen to know if anyone does know how to do this?
  6. Looking for a bit of assistance please.. I'm trying to check the State of Health of the HV battery on the car... I have genuine Roastech cable but struggling to work out where to find the HV SOH percentage... thought I'd ask here first before heading over to the Roastech forum...
  7. My software version is 0278. It's much better than the version that I had when I first got the car.
  8. You're infotainment might be due an upgrade to the software. Mine was painfully slow when I first got it. I'll check tomorrow what version mine is now running as its so much better.
  9. Supply and demand I would say. When I bought mine exdemo 3 years ago there weren't many around. Fast forward 3 years and I reckon a lot company cars leased on 36 months have now been handed back.
  10. I have a 2020 Superb iV SEL with just under 40k in the clock. I bought it because a lot of my journeys are short and I also really like the smoothness and low noise of the electric drive. I had a fully electric car previously but couldn't afford to go fully electric again on a car the size of the Superb so it was a compromise for me. It's worked out well and really don't regret it. I probably get about 20+ miles from the battery. For piece of mind I took out the Skoda All In plan at £29 a month which covers extended warranty, service, MOT and breakdown cover. I've been toying with selling for sometime now to go fully electric again but finding it very hard to find something comparable to the Superb that is affordable!
  11. I have the iV and have been considering something similar. Where did you get yours done?
  12. Thanks for that. Sounds like it could well be the same issue. The car is 3 years and 9 months old, luckily I have taken out extended warranty directly with Skoda which I hope will cover this!! My problem is that it is quite intermittent, in that it seems to only kick in on longer journeys and once the car has had time to rest it goes back to normal. Hopefully the dealer will still be able to test for the problem somehow.
  13. 2020 Superb iV. The last couple of journeys I have had on the car have been 2 hours plus each way. On both of the last occasions about 90mins into the drive (having had the air con on low since start), all of a sudden dust starts blowing out of the vents, not just a little bit, almost like the vents are vaping!! If I put the air con on recirculate the dust doesn't come in. There is a noticeable difference in the power of the air coming out from the vents now though, almost like they are blocked. The power goes back to normal once the car has been turned off overnight and the air con put back on. Filter was last changed 8 months ago, about 8000 miles. Any ideas?
  14. Many thanks. I've run and saved a full scan, I've used VCDS a few times just for troubleshootimg but coding is new to me. Just got a bit stuck to begin with. Thanks for the link, I did have a look on the Ross Tech site but confused myself even more!
  15. I thought I would give this a try but I'm struggling to know which buttons in VCDS to click through. I have found the A5 module but not sure where I go from there to select the Bytes that I need to modify. Can anyone point me in the right direction on which buttons to press?
