I have noticed there is a setting in long coding to turn massage on or off in 5q0 595760 e module I have would changing this make any difference or do I need a 3q0 596760 module and if so which derivative .

Did anyone try this and did it work . Is it just a matter of swapping the seat controller and coding or have other issues arisen

My car had it added yesterday takes a few days for swap code to be ordered . Have 2q camera and have been looking for this for 2 years .

The media command was activated post production from what I understand with Skoda swap code as it showed as a genuine code, but the dealer reflashed 5f and made a mess of it left uncleared invalid fecs and removed media command while,putting back fec for voice enhancer they removed when messing with another problem. Skoda HQ say it’s not a warranty issue as not caused by a manufacturing defect but incorrect or interrupted coding. They won’t help further despite it been purchased approved used, they suggested the previous owner might have done something. The system is now working but has 2 my point of interest licences one valid and one invalid which was causing issues with map updates but won’t know if they have fixed that problem until the next update is released or if I will have to manually do it via pc and usb/sad card. The dealer that did it is not returning my phone calls so the ombudsman is looking like the next step. Wonderful car but very poor dealer and manufacturer support. What do you need from the car as I cannot make 2 trips.

My car was built nov 19 but has the new 2p camera with swap to do tsr 😤 was one of the first to have it. Dealers driving me mad as they have removed media command fec when they reflashed 5f to “fix a problem” and caused many more. They admit the swap code they removed was genuine, they sold me the car a few months old but the paperwork for the swap is missing 00060200 from memory, so they won’t reactivate it and customer services won’t help as they have removed media command app from the App Store in the UK and are not supporting it, it’s bookers just waiting for warranty to expire and will do it my self . .Might be interested in the TSR as a step one, how long does it take? And how much notice do you need. I am not over your way that often

Skoda don’t currently sell the fec/swap, Audi do so maybe one day Skoda might up their customer service. Skoda won’t activate it and say they cannot do so. The dealers just reflash units when they replace them from the build log on FAZIT and claim to be unable to do individual swap codes unless they have a Skoda part code. Out of interest what is the total charge for TSR plus PACC.

Thanks for the information. I am still pursuing with the dealer. Skoda Uk have had another dealer look at it but basically said someone has interrupted or incorrectly cleared errors and as a result they won’t help as say it’s not a manufacturing defect and suggested I go to the ombudsman if the dealer won’t assist further . So if the dealer that messed it up or sold it with a fault won’t assist it’s the ombudsman I think, and then the above options. A trip to Bridlington may be in order. I am looking round Manchester to see if there is anyone there who does what East Yorkshire retrofit do.

This may or may not be the best place to answer this question but I am at a loss to solve it . The problem is a long saga. To be brief . The Skoda connect services on my car produced error Skoda connect. I took the car to the dealers who reflashed something and in the process removed the FEC code for the voice enhancer. It went in again and they reflashed 5f and in doing so put back the fec for the voice enhancer but removed the fec for media command. I purchased the car less than 12 months old as an approved used. Since then with customer services involved the maps won’t update in the car via Wi-Fi as they have duplicated a my poi licence( see pictures ) which causes an error when it connects to the server and Skoda seem clueless how to remove it. Also they cannot re add the media command fec 00060200 as it appear it was installed legitimately post production but Skoda uk are no longer supporting the app which they have removed from the App Store so they won’t reactivate it as they say the accessory code is no longer available and they can only reflash from FAZIT. So I have an online update system that crashes and an icon for media command that if used will often cause a system crash The car is a sportline plus 2020 MIB 2.5 unit . Any assistance e would be appreciated .

I was wondering if anyone has a solution for the issue I have with Skoda connect. I have a duplicated licence in the infotainment online services for Points of interest one is valid the other says no licence . This would not be an issue except that when the system tries to upgrade the maps a licence expired notIce comes up. This seems to be related to invalid licence in the poi’s . Skoda UK have been corresponding with me for months but no resolution. The dealers don’t seem to have a clue. The other issue I have is the dealer managed to remove the fec for Media command which was working when I purchased the car from them. Skoda UK and the dealer don’t seem to know how to restore this function. Fortunately I took screen shots of the installed codes and other info before they started to play with the system when Skoda connect stopped working the first time round when they performed some sort of update on the car. My car is a Skoda superb spores line 190 tsi facelift. MIB 2.5 unit with data chip fitted. Build date November 2019. First registered Jan 20 I am starting to despair . Bit off topic but Skoda customer services have told me to do a clamp 15 cycle for 15 minutes . Does this mean disconnect the battery. I am asking as they take about a week to respond to each question and my issue has been ongoing for months.

Didn’t know VW data plug would work in a Skoda . What does it do exactly that the Skoda app does not and what is the advantage of having it .

I agree, only the senior master tec at my dealer seems to have a good understanding of the system, the senior tec is quite good but really follows a tick list. I seem to be developing a greater understanding of my cars computer systems fec codes etc than I ever wished to so I can explain to the dealer what is wrong and what they need to do to fix it. I have had issues with swap/ fec codes vanishing after they fixed one software issue, then they replaced one missing fec code which vanished when they reflashed the system to correct a communication error with Skoda assist, but removed another, it is extremely irritating that they let themselves down on these issues, especially as the product is generally so good. Functions vanishing is very irritating. I have similar issues with Toyota and online services and updates in the past which was eventually solved after escalation to European HQ and software co but that was a decade ago. It is all hassle customers just don’t want or need.

Hi I had to take proof of ID into the dealer (they required copy driving licence) they then had to register the info with Skoda and about 2 hours later the lock unlock started to work . It’s all software code and computer communication and it seems to me that not all dealer techs know how it works in detail and if an unusual issue occurs many don’t have sufficient training /skill to put things right. ( they are not usually software engineers) if you are getting incorrect data as you are not registered for lock unlock yet it might be worth starting again with a new account and re setting the car and app.

The menu to switch the voice enhancement on or off in mine has vanished . I am sure it was under sound, volume, sound enhancement. I turned it off a while back but wanted to use it and vanished any ideas

I had Michelin cross climate on my previous car, were a very good compromise performed extremely well in snow and ice. I was able to get about Scotland without winter tyres from the first time with confidence, worked well in the summer as well. But like all things there is a trade off. I would replace the tyres on mine with them when the originals wear out as swapping Tyres and wheels is a pain as I live in Cheshire but travel to Scotland a lot and have managed to get snowed up in the past before using cross or winter tyres but the conditions in Cheshire have meant changing the wheels for the weekend trips on occasions as the winter tyres were not appropriate for the Cheshire weather and wore too quickly.

Sasha is the option you need I could not reccomend her enough .I they are not oem and coded right they cause all sorts of issues with the cars electrical system MIB unit etc. I
