That's my main issue, I wouldn't be so annoyed if they just straight up told me this, instead they've given me a number of delivery dates they've missed with no explanation. Even if they told me it'll 100% be here in November I wouldn't care. I'm totally in the dark at the minute. The car could appear next week, next month or next year. Of course it could be the local supplier that's utterly at fault here, unfortunately I've no way of finding out.

Yes, they aren't taking orders now. mine was ordered nearly 10 months ago at this point. Explain to me how guys that ordered their cars well after me have already taken delivery, meanwhile I left wondering what the hell is going on with absolutely no answers from my local dealership? They are utterly useless.

Mine was ordered week 1, built in week 23 and is stuck waiting for these mystical chips. STILL don't have a delivery date. I'm never ordering another Skoda. The company is an absolute shambles.

My mates dad just traded a new shape Focus ST in, it's worth more now than it was two years ago! I still haven't heard anything about mine. Ordered week one, built in June, parked since then lol

Expect nothing as you’ll get nothing. Skoda are absolutely useless and I’m done chasing them. They haven’t once given me accurate info. My car was ordered week 1. Still no idea when or even if it’s coming. I’m that annoyed with it I’ve started looking for something else and if I find it I’m cancelling the VRS.

Another update - There is no update. The fleet guy did ask this for me - I have just had a reply from Alan, he has escalated it with the Skoda UK management and is awaiting a response. I had a Mercedes GLC300e in a similar position for a similar length of time and they have just released it from the factory this week, they are getting the customer to sign a letter of acknowledgement that they are taking delivery of the vehicle with limited function on the navigation and will have the part installed once it becomes available. We believe a number of the manufacturers are going to follow suit as they are out a sizeable amount of revenue by having vehicles undelivered. I queried as to whether this may be on the horizon with Skoda as an option and will come back to you in due course. Anyone been offered that as an option?

Mine is a company car so the retail price is only one factor of many that's taken into account when I'm picking a vehicle. I went for the VRS because I love how it looks. It's just the "not knowing" that's annoying me.

I'm waiting for the dealer to get back to me. Again. There are a few nice unregistered 3 Series Estates sitting in dealers here that are tempting lol

Well my car is stuck at stage 7 out of 8? Whatever that means?

I order week 1, was told week 10 delivery, then week 24, then the car was only built week 23, but not really built as it isn't finished. I've been given no info on what that means. Is it to be finished in the UK? If so when is it shipping here? I keep having to chase them for info which is also starting to annoy me. I'm giving mine one more week I think, then I may start looking for something else.

"I don't know" isn't an answer at all. Telling me my car is built but at the same time saying it's waiting for more parts is a contradictory statement. How can something by built, when it's not finished?

As am I, it's very frustrating not being able to get a definitive answer as to what's going on.

So my VRS was "built" a couple of weeks ago. However it's still waiting additional components to complete the build lol. I guess this is related to the news article above. Anyone else stuck at this stage?

Mine has finally been built lol. Ordered week 1 2021, built week 22. Lets see how long it actually takes to arrive now.

My dealer said it'll be next March for anything ordered today. I was also told mine would take 10 weeks to begin with :(

Yeah I went for diesel Estate, Canton, winter pack, reversing camera, travel assist and DCC
