On a new UK spec VRS does the assisted drive package only include the self park feature?

They fixed mine. The only thing that would be different is that mine was damaged when used car prices were crazy high due to covid. If it'd happened a year later I think the car would have been written off.

I've never even been in a petrol as a passenger, let alone drive one, but I assume they are much much faster than the diesels?

So my pre facelift diesel VRS is due to go back in November and I'm looking a replacement. It'll be a company car.(I have zero interest in the whole plugin hybrid scene lol) I was wondering if anyone else had made the same change? How does the petrol drive compared to the diesel? Is there much difference between the pre and post facelift infotainment? It took like 3.5 years to get all the software bugs worked out of my car :( Thanks in advance!

I bought the online traffic app. It refused to activate so I factory reset the infotainment in order to sign in again fresh. The problem I have now is when I try to sign in on the car I’ll get a message saying ‘unable to get settings’. I then deleted the car from my garage in the app and rewarded it. I’m signed in fine on the app, however I can’t reactivate the car and I still can’t sign in on the infotainment. Has anyone encountered this before?

The update fixed mine, so hopefully you have no further issues!

Mine has just started to do this. Did you guys find it easy to have the upgrade carried out? Does the upgraded software also enable the dials on the dash satnav screen?

Mine is in today to get that fixed. New switch for something required and apparently it's going to take two days.

Does it say something about a gear selector? Mine is in on Tuesday to have a switch replaced that should fix the fault.

Tax on Irish cars is insane. VRT can do one lol

It's very rare in the UK. Maybe different regions had different standard equipment?

Canton was an optional extra for me when I ordered Jan 2021, it's not in all VRSs

I changed everything over. The B&O sub has the same electrical plug as the Canton.

That's what I have at the minute. I wanted a PHEV but was told the wait time was incredibly long. It still took 11 months for my car to be delivered lol

It's amazing how light and crappy the canton speaker is compared to the B&O 🤣

With the new Kodiaq being unveiled and the new Superb design being released next month, what do we think/hope will be in the new Octavia? I know it's getting the new much larger centre screen. I hope it gets the new physical knobs for climate/volume/DCC modes etc shown in the Kodiaq. Hopefully it gets the 280bhp 1.5 PHEV that's going into the new Passat. I'll be due to order a new car at the end of 2024, It'd take some big changes for me to go for another VRS.

So my Audi sub finally arrived. I have a standard boot floor in my Estate. The only thing I had to do to fit the Audi sub was use a bit of threaded bar to replace the plastic spare wheel holder as it won’t fit through the Audi sub. I’ll also have to get some foam to pack above the Audi sub, as it’s slightly taller than the Canton the Jack holder doesn’t sit flush with the boot floor anymore and holder the carpet up slightly. You can’t fit the Audi sub into the canton without butchering it (see photos) Sound wise there is a noticable difference. You can feel the bass in your chest now. Not the same as for example a proper 10 inch , but it’s louder than the Canton for sure. I paid £65 for my Audi sub and I’m happy with the results for that outlay. I don’t think I’d pay full RRP for a new Audi sub though. Thanks to @Internetdivisor for answering my PMs and being the first to post this mod!

Going to keep my eye out for one now! Is the Audi sub enclosure the same physical size as the Canton? I don't want to have to rearrange my boot to fit it.

In what way is the Audi sub better than the Skoda one? Louder? Punchier etc?

I’ve noticed another 1941 feature. On my old firmware I could only put my wipers into the service position via the vehicle menu. Now I can do it like most other cars but pressing the wiper stalk down shortly after the ignition is turned off.
