Maxidot cluster in 2015 Citigo..is it possible?
Thank you, as maxidot clusters from Skoda are extremely rare and hard to find, you can get a used cluster from VW for about 100-120 euros at eBay...then its all matter of programming...there is a tricky part regarding immobiliser programming that requires direct processor programming but it is something an experince programmer with right tools can do in an hour....

Maxidot cluster in 2015 Citigo..is it possible?
Hi again... After a lot of search and thanks to a great guy from Netherlands VW club and Nefmoto forum (Bonny Gijzen) , maxidot cluster is installed!!!!! It is gorgeous, to say the least, compared to stock green LCD cluster... Bonny not only coded immo data, but also changed welcome screen to Skoda (cluster came from a VW UP) and corrected km... I also installed MFA buttons which worked straight away without even needing coding.. So ....here it is..... Maybe a moderator can change title to Maxidot cluster in 2015 Citigo..it is indeed possible...

PDC retrofit, coding problem
As title suggests amongst other projects I retrofitted factory pdc (parking assist) to my wife's Citigo...everything went smoothly with installation (with the help of vag retrofit guide), but I run into trouble when trying to code the PDC using VCDS.... Firstly , before I even tried to code pdc, I took a log and got the following fault code: (Btw whenever I put in reverse I always got a 1sec sound...) When I used VCDS to try to code the pdc , in the park assist option there was no option to activate it....everything that was there was the following...no byte or bit for pdc!!! Any ideas how to code the PDC using vcds??? ( Don't know if it matters but pdc module came from a 2012 VW up! and my wife's Citigo is a 2015 model)

Adding CCS to pre-FL Citigo
That's what I did but trying to force the pins in , I bent and broke them... I just (literally a few mins ago) received a white bcm connector from salvage to study it ...after you remove the white cover, the black part inside which holds the pins can be splitted in two...you have to split it in order to install the pin because as one part slide into the other they "lock" the pins in place... I will make a video tutorial when I find time to help others ..

Adding CCS to pre-FL Citigo
Hi, I am about to install cruise control too ..the first attempt , although I removed the 2 connectors (black/white) and their covers, was not successful as I could not plug in the pins from the cum cartec retrofit wire kit, due to lack of space... P3P5I, how did you remove the obd plug? Did you just pull it downwards or press it upwards? Is Also what about bcm...do you just force it upwards and towards firewall? Because I tried but it didn't move...I could have used more force but was afraid of breaking anything...

Maxidot cluster in 2015 Citigo..is it possible?
well, part no. is not exactly the same after all.....there is a difference in one letter VW is 1S0920870 and Skoda is 1ST920870...that only describes the brand of car the part is used but might cause trouble...I am now looking at it and there might be a way of altering BRAND byte in the immo data if eeprom can be read.....will see....

Maxidot cluster in 2015 Citigo..is it possible?
more updates...... Since I couldn't find the pinout of the maxidot cluster anywhere, I used the vin from an 2017 UP! (known to me to came with maxidot fitted from factory) and did some digging in vw-erwin wiring diagrams (after paying for 1 hour subscritpion of course :( )... It turns out, that both the pinout and the wiring diagram of the instrument cluster from the 2017 facelift UP! with maxidot, are identical to those from my 2015 Citigo basic cluster. So as far as the electrics are concerned, there shouldn't be any problem in swapping... I did contact , though, 2 Skoda official dealers and asked them whether they would be able to transfer immobiliser and km data from old to new cluster...they were not sure about it and said they've never done it before and will have to try and see what happens. They claimed the reason is that the part no. is different between clusters and maybe the online Skoda system might not allow them to proceed after reading them...There is however a member here (DanikD) who has installed a maxidot cluster to a 2012 Citigo and didn't have any problems in programming so that makes me a bit optimistic....... Also, as it has been asked before some times, the part number for Skoda maxidot cluster (according to ilcats.ru webpage part catalog) is exactly tha same as in the VW UP!. Its 1S0920870. Cluster is supposed to arrive from Germany next week, but from today on, for at least the next 2 weeks, we are on a strict lockdown in Athens due to covid, so thinjgs might be delayed...

Reinstalling RCD215...wiring question...
Does anyone knows which of the repair cables that skoda sells, fit in the particular 8pin plug of the rcd215? I would prefer to buy a few of those and make extensions rather than make my own..

Reinstalling RCD215...wiring question...
I used the wiring diagrms from skoda citigo workshop manual so i believe they should be correct...all other wirings I checked in car are as shown in the diagrams.. I will try as soon as I receive the rcd I just ordered and post update here....

Reinstalling RCD215...wiring question...
thank you for your reply... I understand what you say but the reason I searched and chose those wires is that they are exactly on the same route and goes to exactly the same pins on BCM...(also they are exactly the same color and same thickness...).. The 2 wires from rcd215 are orange/green and orange/brown and go to pins T73b/20 and T73b/21 on BCM The 2 wires from obd port are also orange/green and orange/brown. and also go to pins T73b/20 and T73b/21 on BCM

Reinstalling RCD215...wiring question...
My recently bought Citigo did not come with rcd215...instead there was a Pioneer headunit installed..So since I am planning to retrofit PID, I need to have the stock rcd215 in its place... Yesterday I removed the Pioneer to check the wiring...comparing it with the wiring diagrams, everything is there, besides the 2 canbus wires (high and low)... These are the B397 and B406 wires that go to pins T73b/20 and T73b/21 on BCM respectivelly..... Since I do not want to to remove BCM yet (I will eventually , when I retrofit cruise control), I was wondering if it would be ok to solder them on the exactly same wires that run from OBD port to the same pins on BCM... I have noticed that even VW on PDC retrofit kit is doing something similar ..instead of running wires all the way from pdc control module to BCM, they instruct to solder them on the same wires from airbag control unit under center console (that eventually run to BCM). So can anyone with more experience in electrics, confirm that my idea will work without any problems??

Maxidot cluster in 2015 Citigo..is it possible?
hi everybody, I just got hold of a low mile 2015 Citigo greentech...amongst other retrofits what I am planning to do, like cruise control and mfa (for which I got great help from Pepsi-P3P5I), is install a maxidot cluster. I've seen that it can be done , but haven't seen anywhere a diy guide for it? So how difficult is it to retrofit it? Would a maxidot cluster from UP! fit a Citigo and what level of coding is needed for it? Any help would be greatly appreciated... Stav PS: if anyody has a maxidot for sale please drop me a pm....
