Through an emergency service discount broker, car gets paid for in full on delivery. Goes through the dealer as a fleet order, which I believe has the same low priority as lease orders. Yeah, got a few extras + racing blue paint.

Just had a rare update. Coming up to 58 weeks now since ordering, and there's still no build date. 🤣😭 Not sure whether to ask Skoda UK to get the factory to build me anything, as long as it's got 7 seats and 4 wheels. The original delivery date was Oct/Nov 2021, at this rate it'll be a whole year late. Very annoying.

Talking of number plates, if you’ve got time, this is a great watch. Going beyond model / trim, some of the people try to raise their prestigiousness on the road by ensuring the jacket coat hanger is visible with a good brand name 😀

I wouldn't be surprised if it's just a cover, and the wires in the wiring loom to it are missing. I wish Skoda would make it standard, instead trying to save a few quid by making it an option.

Impossible to know how realistic that is. To be on the safe side, and as it's a lease order, I would assume it'll be 12-18 months. Then if it comes sooner it'll be a nice surprise.

Also I was told by Skoda, the spec of the car at the time of ordering is generally what you get regardless, of changes they make to that trim in the future. Even if the trim is dropped entirely from the line up, you'll still get what you ordered. I found this out after asking about what happens to my SE order now the SE trim isn't available anymore, only the SE Drive. Obviously Model Year changes may affect things slightly.

Yeah, looks like that is correct. I was confused because it says 8" display but that photo of the Kodiaq looks like the virtual cockpit which is wider. This is from a VW Taigo, it looks like the graphics on the left / right of the display, aren't actually part of the display, they're backlit thingamajigs. From the Taigo info it says "The Digital Cockpit instrument cluster shows you the typical contents, such as speedometer and mileage recorder, as standard on a high-resolution 8-inch (20.32 cm) colour display. The Digital Cockpit Pro allows you to arrange the 10.25-inch (26.04 cm) display to suit your individual requirements." Slightly different graphics on the Kodiaq

Even the base model mentions 8.0" digital display in that section. Can't figure out what it means, unless they've upgraded the maxidot display which sits between the dials to 8". I'm assuming it's a mistake.

Got an email today saying my June 2021 order still has no build week. Good to see other orders moving though.

Likewise, when I ordered it was part of the sleep pack. On the car-card (June 2021 ) that the Skoda configurator produces, it had the Skoda part listed as GPXEPXE, PXE being the sleep pack with acoustic glass. There may be shortages of the acoustic glass, but if you go on the Skoda configurator for some country's it's still available, even as a stand alone option without the sleep pack (VW5). This is from the configurator for Luxembourg.

Based on previous years, we might see some information in the next few weeks. In this document it says "MY2023 – 2022CW25" , I'm guessing means MY2023 is from build week 25 in 2022 onwards??? https://www.skoda.lt/_doc/20ecab27-4584-40e8-8017-e6ccc7432d8d One interesting thing in that document is they have two different sleep packs. One with acoustic glass (PXE option), one without (PXB). In the UK the only option available in the Kodiaq configurator currently seems to be sleep pack without acoustic glass.

In the world of customer service, there's the concept of getting the basics right first, before doing anything else. Order tracking is a basic thing they need to sort out. My June 21 order has never received a single update, I've got no idea if it'll arrive this year or not.

In a similar situation. The prices keep ramping up and the discounts have ramped down across nearly all 7-seaters, so cancelling wouldn't make financial sense. To give an idea of price evolution of the Kodiaq, these are rough figures I've had at various points. 2019/2020 via Carw*w £20.5k for SE 7 seater, £27k Sportline (20% discount) 2021 Broker £22.5k SE 7 seater, £29k Sportline (20% discount ?) 2022 Carw*w £30k SE Drive 7 seater, £35k Sportline ( 10% discount )

Thanks for the update. I haven't heard anything so it's good to know what's going on. Currently on month 11 of waiting, starting to assume it will be a MY23.

Haven't heard of that happening my self. Quite easy to trace because you can check with Skoda directly, what the status is of your order. Mines coming up to 11 months without a build date. Really hoping it gets built before summer holidays.

Based on what I've seen on hard shoulders this month, I would never want to get a used Q7 or any new/used JLR vehicle. For Volvo's, the dealer experience I had when owning one many years ago put me right off.

Just shows orders can get done quickly if required. The only positive information I've ever had from my June 2021 order, is it's in the 'order-bank'.

Skoda chat told me lease order also means fleet order. So anyone who hasn’t ordered direct from the dealer seems to have a lease/fleet order.

I'm also 31 through a similar scheme. Was that direct with a dealer? If it is, then ignore my comment about 31/30 being different.

I think last year the Skoda online chat mentioned to me if the order starts with 31...... it's a fleet order and 30..... is a normal retail order. I could be imagining that though.

My June 21 order still has no build date. I did specify the sleep package though, looks like that might have effected it.
