  1. dragon skin color looks interesting, but was not available for octavia
  2. fuel tank size is but its not like there are no petrol stations on every corner
  3. since people are getting dumber every year, cars needs to be smarter and safer + emissions. All safety features by default every time are ON, driving mode always defaults to NORMAL, these you cant save in profiles.. ===== These are the steps i do each time i start the car: 1. select my profile, which is prompted every time on screen, so i press ok 2. select drive mode= individual(so that all fakery is off and rest is in sport) 3. disable lane assist Before i got the car i thought it will be frustrating, but its like routine and once i push the car there comes the smile
  4. Android auto wireless, I initiate call from phone, not sure if I synced contacts, car just took over and nothing happened. maybe if i initiate call from car that would work, i might go check now EDIT: calling from android auto is fine, that is all i need closing this topic.
  5. I have noticed that I can receive call while in car, however i can not call, caller is not even receiving anything, i was wondering what i am doing wrong.
  6. create profiles, everything is saved there. this works every time, however takes time to set up, registration via phone(myskoda app) etc. seat/mirror positions must be saved to each key, once you lock the car with seat/mirror are saved on that key
  7. 1. value for money, for example, BWM don't come with wireless android, at least year 19/20 cars, when i considered options I was not able to find car with 200hp+ and decent tech inside. 2. Fuel consumption, this weekend I did little trip 329km mostly at 110-120km/h, did some 140/150km/h overtakes, did couple 200km/h at the end got 7.6L/100km which is very good in my opinion. 3. Power, however that comes with some gripes as well, it would be nice to be able to put down all these horses for that car needed to be all wheel drive, tires will not hold for long as well. ==== very happy RS owner here, seems that i have even found good seat position after owning volvo
  8. I am not sure what would be the point to have more than 300hp for FWD car, mine is struggling for grip in first two gears already, and do we really all live in Germany where we could drive 100km/h ++? If Octavia RS tfsi would be all wheel drive, then that is different story.
  9. Bottom line, covid started, lots of manufacturers stopped production, planning there will be no demand on goods, to gat back on tract takes time. what we see here chips from China is issue, if not that then Brexit, which was a biggest mistake
  10. My update after 1400km: -only real issue i have had so far- home button not working, stopped the car, locked unlocked and it fixed that. -my key saves my seat position, meaning memory button does not need to be pressed, however other key seems not to work same way,. my woman needs to press seat memory to get it in its place, that might be our error, but that is not something very annoying ============= +found easy the way how to disable lane assist, there is button on steering wheel...so two clicks and its off, that 'feature' is annoying while in city +created my individual mode, where i can have fake sound off, normal steering and sport everything else, obviously that needs to be selected every time i start the car +wireless android works perfect for me, connecting every time, +really like mirror auto adjusting when reversing, this to work dial needs to be on R, fyi(it goes back to normal position) +fuel consumption is very good, as of now we are averaging 8.6l/100km and i am driving it pretty hard, did couple times 200km/h and some rolling drag in city +love the boot space, easy can fit to bicycles there(removing front tire) ========== It would be perfect car if it would save driving mode, but that's not up to Skoda, and if it would be all wheel drive, so that there is more grip in first gear. Not sure how you guys have all these issues.
  11. RS 2.0tfsi DSG city lots of short drives to shop and back,(usually getting 10-13l/100km) + longer trips(usually getting 6-8l/100km) percentage wise, hard to tell, around 50/50 for now average is 8.8l/100km(this is per app on phone, but honestly i do not believe it, i will measure properly at some point) this should be around UK 32MPG ======================== But like some said, if MPG is important look at diesel. Smiles per gallon= a lot.
  12. i have not had a single issue yet, my car was built end of march, rs dsg.
  13. oh yes, every e36/e46 M badging is a must, even if bumpers are regular, i would never understand that,
  14. my opinion is same as yours @FlyingGecko, it is extremely stupid to put fake things on regular car, BWM owners like to make their regular beemers look like M cars. That being said I asked dealer to remove all lettering on the back, that way it looks cleaner, i left RS only. I think its personal preference, no point to argue
  15. We are two dribers with different settings on each key thats the point
  16. mine works great remembering driver keys, i dont have to mess with seat buttons anymore, positions are saved on key.
  17. Canton Subwoofer is very useless, it is not relevant, I have tested plenty songs plenty EQ settings in drivers seat I cant hear it at all.
  18. currently where i work functional designer that plans everything reviews tests before they are executed, so that everyone is on same page with what should be end product/result. we all know memes where developers are fixing bugs in production, well, we are these developers now
  19. I have worked in software development business for a while now, I definitely agree that this should all be found while testing, before releasing for customers. At this point there is not much we can do with these bugs, for me I ordered car 8feb, got it last Friday, 0 issues at all, only one small thing was it took time to set up second users profile other than that works flawlessly. Once waze stuck and were not moving, i turned on and off data on phone and it worked again, this is believe is android auto issue not car related. Side note, I lived a while between Glasgow and Edinburgh, love them both, beautiful place to live.
  20. just use waze(android/apple carplays), that always works, why even bother with built in bs maps/
  21. i just checked: right scroll wheel on steering wheel push it to activate selection for dash, select this 'ring' and then scroll through selection and there you will have it, as well once crossroad or whatever cis close you will have same sign in the middle where the clock is, but that will show up there for couple seconds, i was not able to capture.. and yes that is waze. i do not use built navigation, since that does not show police or radars., same for music never listen to radio, i use spotify, and Skoda did great jot to integrate android auto into this dash. if you have questions ask me via message, since this is picture thread which we are spamming
  22. Hi, Regarding lane assist, well if it gets annoying i can turn it off.. but thing is i have short drives usually and for them i just change driving mode, so there is no fake sound,. now, regarding waze: I cant remember where it showed up either in center of speedo or in the middle where clock is, i might check at some point.
  23. So I have finally created my individual mode, fake sound off, etc lane assist=sport? anyone knows what that means?(lane assist=sport) since it still corrects me
  24. mine rs works as expected so far, it has been just a week
