  1. Yeah still hasn't worked for me despite following various methods. If it wasn't a lease car, I'd be bothered but just can't get overly frustrated with it as everything else appears to work.
  2. Mine went in June. Was gutted to see it go but it owed me nothing and sadly, things started to go wrong as I was debating if to scrap or sell. I sold it to a scrap dealer.
  3. They certainly don't make things easy do they? We've had our lease car since June and set everything up then got to the primary set up and it just kept saying there was a problem so have just left it for now.

It's a very odd feeling sure and I'm still getting used to it but my wife who uses a lot of hire cars for work says it's not too different from a number of car brands these days and she is used to it. I'm not annoyed by it no but I do find it odd that when you pass by a parked car and you do go round it and you go over the white line and the car pulls you back, at first I found that quite worrying as the first time it happened I thought it was quite aggressive but now that I'm used to it, I'm prepared for it. There are other things that frustrate me more with the car but I've only done 300 miles in mine so will see how I feel in a few months.

So you have nothing to complain about then really? I do what you do too and in all honesty, it's not that intrusive that you need to indicate but I honestly just don't get what the fuss is either way. Let's just take it easy out there.

Such a simple thing to do too.
  7. If its a UK spec car, it should have white ambient lighting as standard. As I said before, it's nothing to write home about but I can say I kept looking at the incorrect part on the dash before realising it was actually working.
  8. Checked it last night and got it working. All good if rather underwhelming.

Disregard my last post. Wire's crossed. Sorry

Do all cars have buttons to physically turn it on or off? Every car I've been in with stop start function does but I do wonder if any manufacturers don't.
  11. Nothings changed. Same thing happening for me today. Given up for now.

It's a bit like the carbon footprint reducing stop and start system. Car companies take it that seriously, they give you a button to deactivate it.
  13. Quick question - the ambient lighting in the Monte Carlo. How does it work? Is there a setting somewhere that needs to be turned on? Thanks
  14. Seems to be different specs across Europe and Australia/New Zealand. No matter how you look at it, the UK spec is sub par.
  15. Checked the paperwork, ours was built late October 2020
  16. The Kamiq monte carlo looks great, but the actual content isn't great really. Got such a great lease deal for 3 years including maintenance and servicing package that swayed me from the 80 quid a month more for the sel with more kit. And when you look at some of the mainland European specs, they certainly seem get more kit than we do. Can anyone confirm?
  17. Don't get me wrong, I really like the car but I am leasing and not buying it. If I was to buy one, I don't think they are worth the money they are asking. The pan roof is nice but I'd scrap that and have dual zone cc, acc, auto dimming mirror and folding door mirrors as standard any day of the week over it.
  18. Well, it certainly doesn't seem auto dimming and you have the pull bit at the bottom of the mirror like in the old days.
  19. We have leased a 1.0 110 manual monte carlo in white. Have had it two weeks and is very nice. Came with a spare wheel which is something every car should have IMHO. After having climate control on my MKII octavia for the past 15 years, still getting use to the manual air con again, definitely not as nice but it's something I will be able to live with. I know this might sound odd but having the rear view mirror without the auto dimming feature is bloody stingy on a car like this. That said though, overall, enjoying it so far. The engine is so much better than I thought it would be and the ride and handling is decent on the 18 inch wheels.
  20. What an utter shambles of a dealership. I have used two skoda dealerships in my time owning skodas and both were great at the simple things and woeful at other things like fixing things and fitting things. The fact on top of your experience of the dealer and their inability to provide you with a service that isn't anything above effing crap, your lease company also appeared to sold you down the river too from your original post. I have to ask, have you been in touch with the lease company since? Also, are you still paying them? If you are, I would be pressing for skoda to cover any costs for your lease payments whilst still trying to get their head out of their arse. Should add that I have a leased kamiq (just over a week now) and I just hope I don't experience anything bad. My heart goes out to you for having to deal with these idiots.
  21. Surely you should be paying skoda UK in pounds. No?
  22. I've taken it to the dealer, who can't resolve the issue but suggest a major system upgrade is on the way. The sort of response to hope the customer goes away with a bit of hope their knackered system will work properly at some stage.
  23. It's good the report is in your favour but I guess you have to hope Skoda don't disregard it but if they did, I'd think you could have a good leg to stand on if you were to take legal action. No matter how you look at it though, Skoda have been pretty diabolical in the way they have treated a customer and your leasing company not much better.
  24. I can't believe all this is done before the car is delivered.
  25. A clutch going after less than 3000 miles points to one thing and one thing only. Clearly not fit for purpose.
