  1. Sorry just re-read my first post and can see what you mean, the car was first registered on 15 June 2023 so is almost 19 months old. PDI would have been a few days before as the dealer only had it a few days before it was delivered to me.
  2. I rang the dealer today and asked when my car needed servicing, they looked on the system and said every 12 months/10,000 miles. I told them I have had the car 18 months and done 12,000 miles and the countdown had only shown up 2 days ago. The guy went silent and then said I need to check with the leasing company to see what they require.
  3. Got in my 2023 Scala today and was met with an oil change service due in 30 days message. I thought the service intervals were 20,000 or 2 years, I have only done 12,635 miles.
  4. Got my Scala brand new in June 2023. The wheels were covered in brake dust in no time to the point that a colleague thought the alloy wheels were a gun metal colour as standard. When cleaning the wheels with a sponge I got some dust on my hands, the dust took forever to clean off to the point that I bought one of the brushes off Amazon to clean the wheels with.
  5. Finally got a response from Skoda Finance. They have confirmed that the suspension doesn't need replacing and they have compensated me for the issues I've had.
  6. Has your car had all the software updates at the dealers? My car was fine after the updates. A friend did suggest the issue was because I wasn't starting the car properly. You should push the button to turn the ignition on, then press the clutch in and press the button again. I was just pressing the clutch in and pushing the button.
  7. Thanks for the comments. I have emailed Skoda Finance, they are the legal owner of the car and the issue occured before I took delivery so I believe it should be them sorting it rather than me. I might not get anywhere but it's worth a shot.
  8. I took my car to the local dealership yesterday and yes the transport blocks had been left in. Now for the interesting part, the dealers have said that if the transport blocks have been left in and the car has been driven it is Skoda's policy to replace the suspension. My car is leased so I contacted Skoda Finance and they were less then helpful in trying to help. My local dealer is now preparing a quote to send to the dealer that supplied my car. I'm not particularly happy that the suspension is going to be replaced, I just have visions of the car having more issues once they start poking around with it.
  9. Had my Scala for 4 months now and driven 3,000 miles. I have noticed that when I drive over any bumps in the road the car gives a thud from the front end, these are not huge bumps in the road so I'm not sure why the dramatic thud. I can recreate the thud if I drive over the speed bumps at a local retail park at a speed over 10mph. Also, over the last few days I've noticed a grinding squeezing sound from the brakes when coming to a stop. Not sure what is causing this.

My Skoda SE Technology was delivered last week and I have been trying to get the internet radio to work. I have changed the radio setting from DAB/FM to WEB and nothing worked. I have connected the infotainment system to my mobile by WiFi and nothing worked. Anyone had any success with this?
  11. Skoda only sold 39,500 Scala's worldwide in 2022 which was 17.9% less than in 2021. I guess they really are a "rare beast"
  12. Before I ordered my Scala I went to the local Skoda dealers to in the hope of having a look around one and maybe taking a test drive. I went in the showroom and asked the salesman and was told they hadn't got one on site as they are a "rare beast" I have only seen two since I ordered mine, a dark grey one I see a few times a week in Derby and a white one that was covered in advertising in Nottingham.
  13. Quick question, is there a way to switch to Android Auto without having to select Menu first? On my previous Octavia it had an App button.
  14. Look what got delivered this morning (sorry for the bad photo).
  15. Car arrived at the UK port this week and I received my finance documents to sign today. Just waiting for a delivery date now, the registration date is showing as 12th June so could be with me a week on Monday.
  16. Looks nice, what trim is it? I'm assuming the factory goes through making batches of certain trims and you just got lucky that they were building the trim you ordered.
  17. My Scala has arrived at the port of exit, should I expect another 3 week wait until it moves again? I have entered the VIN in the MySkoda app and the car now shows, should I activate it now or wait?
  18. My car has left the factory. I have received the VIN but the MySkoda app throws back an error.
  19. Not sure, there was a 16 week lead time when I ordered and they said it would be here for 1st March 2023. It is a bog standard Scala SE Technology in Factory Blue (Energy Blue).
  20. Mine (ordered September 2022) was built was last week and is still at the factory.
  21. It's been a while since I last posted, week 7 came and went, and the status changed to unconfirmed build week 15. Update received yesterday -Confirmed build week 15 - Week Commencing 10th April 2023.
  22. Received an update today, unconfirmed build week 7 (again). Week 7 is this week but I've got to wait until next weeks update to find out if it's been built.
  23. When I ordered mine in September there were websites stating 16 week lead time, the update this week was still "awaiting build week"
  24. Mine had gone back to awaiting build week.
  25. So week 7 is w/c 13th February? How many weeks after this will the car arrive in the UK? I have seen people on other threads tracking there car status once built using the VIN, where do you get the VIN?
