I hate to put a downer on this but my car was delivered with version 0892. After driving to work in the cold this morning and not being able to use the heater I decided to book the car in with the dealers for 27th April. The issues I've raised are: 1) Touchscreen not working (at least three times a week). 2) When the touchscreen isn't working I get a message saying manoeuvre braking not available. 3) When touchscreen isn't working the rear parking sensors don't work.

A new error message on my car this afternoon, proactive occupant protection unavailable. Looks like it will be visiting the dealer in the near future.

When I left the car the digital display was set to show the usual layout of speedo and rev counter dials, when I collected the car it was blank apart from the digital speedo in the centre. I think someone must have accidentally pressed the left or right button on the right section of the steering wheel. My issues re-appeared yesterday, centre screen did not come on when I started the car and manoeuvre assist braking was unavailable.

I have not had any issues in the last two weeks (touch wood). The only thing that has been different in the two weeks was my car went in to my local Audi dealer to have a repair to the paintwork (damage that happened while car was being delivered to me). I'm not sure what they did while they performed the repair but when I got the car back the dashboard brightness had been changed and the digital cockpit layout had changed.

Which dealership website did you use to book your car in? I was just wondering if I tried to book mine in whether it would say there was an update required.

I'm on a 2 year lease and my previous cars have always been set to 2 year service plans, I usually get away with not paying for a service by handing the car back a few days early. I'll see how this pans out in the next 12 months but will probably end up getting a 12 months service done after 13 months.

Just looking through the MySkoda app and it is showing an oil change is due in 12,700 miles/418 days and service is due in 19,499 miles/634 days. When did Skoda start seperating oil changes and services like this?

If you can tell me how to check this I will try it. I have had an email from HJ asking for more details about me and my car etc. I have sent the additional details and he is now going to submit all of our complaints to Skoda.

No, the car is on lease and came from a dealership in Rochdale.

I have the SE First Edition which doesn't have built in navigation.

I've sent an email, only had the car 2 weeks and have twice had the touchscreen, emergency brake assist and manoeuvre assist not working issue. My main concern is the emergency brake assist not working could cost me my life if I'm involved in an accident.

With the screen not working, other than the entertainment functions not working I was unable to switch off the A/C (it was still set to LO from my previous drive), the front brake assist was not functioning and my rear parking sensors were not working.

I tried holding the power button until the backlight went off, it then lit up again but the screen was still blank.

Sorry if this has already been posted before. Driving to work this morning the touchscreen wasn't working, the backlight was on but nothing was showing on the screen. I tried the following: 1) switching the engine off and on 2) tried powering the screen off and on I have just been out and checked and it is now working fine, is this a standard gremlin?

Not sure whether other people having the same issue is good or bad 🤔 @matmacka how long have you had your car?

Newbie question, where do I find the software version? I have been into the system information screen and can find a hardware version but can't see a software version.

I have the same issue and also get a warning screen come up every morning saying something about data (collection or protection).

Yes that is exactly the same as what it was doing. Should I book it in for my local dealers to take a look at?

Hello everyone I am new to the forum as I only received my current 2021 Octavia SE First Edition on Monday (previously had a 2019 Octavia SE Technology). I was driving home tonight and the white lights either side of the virtual cockpit (the temperature guage and fuel guage lights) were flickering every now and again. Has anyone else encountered this and if so what was causing it?
