Thanks for all the interest in my original query and for some positive input .... I'm glad to say that after some pressure on the vendor I have obtained the missing Service detail, which has confirmed the validity of mileages / dates etc and removed quite a few worries. Appreciate your comments Scot 5 ....... the dealer I bought from gave the vehicle a predelivery service and MOT and referred me to Skoda online, which is hopeless. There is / was no way of checking earlier service details but I will visit local Skoda dealer. I agree with you about prior history but with a 12 month Warranty on vehicle I hope I am a pretty good position until I can get Skoda info, and can still return vehicle F O C within 2 weeks You’re correct ... no information at all with vehicle .. the handbook is pristine and without receipts ... it doesn’t have a section for Service Records like all other vehicles I have had ... pretty bad idea from Skoda who say all is now digital and online. Thanks JohnD for the prompt reply ....... slight problem ... vehicle wasn't bought from a Skoda dealer and the Service manual / Roadside Assistance book have no details of any description as to dealer who supplied..... possibly a lease vehicle before. What would be the chance of a local Skoda dealer printing this service info down ??? ... pretty slim I guess ... unless I promise future Service ??? ... which I doubt I will do. I had Volvo's for some 30 years and they were all serviced by my local Indy, who I shall continue to use. Also, I thought there was now, no requirement for Main dealers to always be used, as this indicated restrictive practices on behalf of the manufacturer. Any tips might help. Regards XVolvo.

Brand new member to the Board only this a.m. ...... only took delivery of used 2018 Karoq on Friday ( very pleased ) and I'm sure this point must have been raised before .... where do I get previous Service details from ? ? Dealer that sold car to me ( non Skoda dealer) has given me their 36K service details and calmly said " ... details of earlier service on line ... ". Now in the dark and guess I only need 1 from 18K (?) and possibly original delivery PDI. Can anyone help .... so far the internet hasn't given me any assistance. XVolvo
