What would you change?
Haven't had the pleasure of changing an indicator bulb yet.

What would you change?
As the title says, what one thing about your Superb II annoys the heck out of you and you'd change it if you could? Mine is the TPMS system that tells you of an issue but doesn't tell you what wheel is slightly low. Renault's & Citroen's I've owned tell you what wheel has the issue, Skoda tells you about a problem but you need to figure it out yourself meaning you have to check all 4 tyres unless it's very obvious.

Any ideas? - Interior light cluster (ceiling)
From memory the roof centre console is the same part as a B6 Passat, (mine is identical to my previous Passat), you might find them cheaper for a B6 than a Superb but please check the part number just in case.

Superb Mk2 Dechrome and LED Bulb journey
Thanks for the reply, I wasn't ignoring it, just waiting for my bulbs to arrive from China. Finally received them last week and just got around to installing them. They do indeed make the car look more modern with the bright white LED DRL's and best of all no canbus error message. Thanks again for the heads up.

CDAA Crankcase breather (PCV)
If it helps anybody I replaced mine with a Febi Bilstein kit 170879 (oil separator with vent hoses), cost was £67 from Amazon and it covers the last released part no. from VW of 06H 103 495 AH. My existing part was dated 09 so looks like it had never been changed.

Superb Mk2 Dechrome and LED Bulb journey
Have you done the LED bulbs on the new car yet? I was considering changing the DRL's for LED ones as I don't like the yellow hue of them compared to my HID's. Will they work ok though? Having tried LED sidelights on my B6 Passat I found VW's canbus doesn't like them and they will only work with standard bulbs.

CDAA Crankcase breather (PCV)
1.8tsi CDAA code (Jan 2010) Any techs on here who can confirm the latest version part no. for the crankcase pcv breather valve? After running my reg on several websites my head is spinning with conflicting results for supposed correct fitments. Cost OEM?

Spare wheel options
Guys, was a spare wheel an optional extra? I have an inflator and a bottle of foaming gunk in my spare wheel well which I'm not a fan of. Was there a space saver or steely option as pictured above. I don't like driving around without an emergency option to change to.

Replacement bonnet/boot badges
What's the story with the badges guys? Mine are all moth eaten and cruddy, has anybody replaced them and what did you buy to replace them? I suspect the eBay ones for a tenner will be a horrendous fit because of the curved nature of the badges. Do I have to go OEM or are there decent aftermarket badges that won't break the bank that fit correctly? (I don't mind changing to the newer style badges if I have to)

Rear coil spring information / specifications request
Your absolutely right, I had G50 stuck in my head because I was considering biting the bullet and doing all 4 shocks. For some reason I remembered the front code.

Rear coil spring information / specifications request
There are two suspension setups on the Superb 2, standard and sport. I've just replaced the rear dampers on my S2, I had to decode my options list to see what setup I have. I then had to cross reference my code (G50) with the Sach website to see if it's standard or sport (standard). From what I could work out virtually everything is standard with just the occasional G07 sport setup.

Replacement Battery Coding???
I know I'm late to the party but remember the name Tayna Batteries for whenever you need any automotive battery. They deliver next day at fantastic prices. I've used them for 4 batteries on different vehicles and never been disappointed.

Do you recommend using Skoda dealer for servicing
If you are in need of software updates or specialised advise I can recommend C T Cars in West Horsley, Leatherhead. They are VAG specialists with all the latest diagnostic equipment. I've no affiliation with them, just a satisfied customer.

6 or 7 speed DSG?
Correct, it was a 2008 TDI, last of the pumpé duse before they went CR. They're not renowned for their quiet running especially when cold, once they get to 80k+ after a few years they clatter even more. Going 5w-40 just makes them a bit more civilized

6 or 7 speed DSG?
First 2 services are bi-annual, annual after that. Shows two brake fluid changes so far, 1 set of plugs (put a new set in yesterday), the normal air filter, occasional cabin filter, oil & oil filter on every service. The Indy's have only filled the top half of the service info so may be more filters done. No recalls outstanding on Skoda website. What's the recommended oil for the 1.8TSI? Engine code is CDAA. My Passat was spec'd PD 5w-30 C3 from the factory but VW issued a recommendation to change to 5w-40 after about 4 years.

6 or 7 speed DSG?
Just thought I'd update you all. Car had horrible shimmer 1 to 2 and 2 to 3 both changing up and down hence my original post. Saw the post about doing a reset via the accelerator pedal, did it this morning and it's virtually cured. Still the slightest of shimmer 1st to 2nd but I can live with that, the rest of the changes are fine. (No sticker in boot incidentally). Thanks to everyone for their input, it's appreciated.

6 or 7 speed DSG?
So if no sticker in boot with 34F7 I'm to assume the original synthetic oil is still in the box and a switch to mineral with a software update is prudent?

6 or 7 speed DSG?
Haven't got it up to speed to see if it's 6 or 7 gears yet, rather difficult to go fast on Battersea High St. 😉 Thanks for the info.👍

6 or 7 speed DSG?
Hi folks, new Skoda owner but not new to VW group cars. Sadly had to move on my Passat 2.0tdi thanks to the imminent ULEZ boundary 2 minutes from where I live. Loved the 6 speed DSG the Passat had but my 2010 Superb II feels totally different with its changing pattern and I'm unsure if it's a 6 or 7 speed box (V5 filled out by dealership, I only have the green slip at the moment which doesn't tell you what box is fitted). Also read Honest John saying 7 speed dry sump doesn't need a fluid change which I find hard to believe. Can anybody provide some insight please?
