  1. Hello again. I bought a new motor from Skoda-parts that fitted my car. My local Skoda dealer/mechanic wanted me to pay 300 euros for the motor. Skoda-parts 170 euros. Yesterday I fitted the new motor and the windows are now working properly.
  2. Im getting more and more confused =) That wiring info is the one I found for my car (Haynes-) I look again. Also found out just now that this part is used on vw Polos as well. Don't know exactly which year polos but now I have to look into that as well.
  3. Central looking, rear window heaters and adjustable rear windows...all good.
  4. ah now I understand the difference. Well that wasn't a happy surprise. Yes and that one is good. I replaced it anyways Justin case but it did nothing. Everthing seems to be working as It should except the "DOOR CONTROL UNIT DRIVER SIDE"
  5. 04/1107? I thought I at least had until the new production started in 2010 =( I had my brother look at the car who is an electrician and he was also talking about that wiring underneath the rubber cover but he didn't find anything wrong there. Think ILL go over everything once again. Take everything of, inspect reassemble it again before I pay 250 quid for a new one =(
  6. Since I drive a left steered car I have to get a motor from a left steered car I reckon. So If I'm reading this correctly (English is not my first language =)) I have to get a part that has a part number beginning with "6Y" or else the connectors don't fit? For the Mk1 the part number begins with "6Y1" and ends with SK1 and that wouldn't work either? I need a part that has the "6Y2..... part number I presume.. And that part has to have the SK3 or SK6 ending that tells med what software the part is using. The only way to see what "SK" number the part has is to run the chassi/VIN number in Volkswagens own part system which costs a fortune to get I was told by a friends friend who works at a car diassambly/ scrapyard.
  7. Hello. I have an issue with my electric windows on my Fabia Elegance 1.2 2007. None of the windows is working (four) and I have narrowed it down to the driver side window motor control unit. The problem is that a new one is 2900:- skr (250;-GBP) and therefore Im looking for a used part. I cannot find one it seems. My Skoda dealer/mechanic said that the part number for my car is 6Y2959802A SK3 or SK6. My questions are; Does it have to be exactly that part number? Is there any other part number that will work as well? Anyone have the same problem with the windows not working and if so, How did you resolve the issue?
