  1. I couldn't agree more with your previous comments. It's just ridiculous to have to do this on a car. @janis which sw version did you ended up with? I think there is a 1803 in some cars, mine still in 1788.
  2. I didn't try it today. However I've checked the app and it seems the car is down. I cannot refresh doors and lighting info. Something that is clear to me is that they're not getting a new skoda connect customer once the free year is over...
  3. Let us know in case it's some faulty hardware so we can guide our local dealers
  4. Something similar happened to me once during one of the no internet problems. I tried to refresh several times during the week as I wasn't driving and wanted to check whether it was fixed already or not. After some attempts I got the message that I could not refresh anymore until my next drive to protect the battery.
  5. Yeap, in my case I was at the car with the door open. I removed them, wait for 10 minutes.. plugged them back in, started the car and the icon became white straight forward (perhaps it took 30-60 seconds) I had to configure the hour in the system, select my primary user and that was all.
  6. I did the fuses trick and I'm back online...
  7. I was referring before pulling the fuses as normally the car is all lighted up (virtual cockpit, the display) as soon as you get in and stays like that for quite some time (I've never waited long enough for it to shut it down)
  8. How do you do the process? Meaning as far as I remember every time I'm at the car something is switched on in the virtual cockpit. Do you force a switch off or wait for "x" minutes before pulling the fuses?
  9. Normally I get the message if I try to synchronize my user or do something that needs internet connection, otherwise it's just the grey icon.
  10. I've the same guess as you!!! (I work in telecommunications) The fuses are the trick to ask the eSIM to restart the session. I tried to trick it disabling and enabling the eSIM or switching to Wifi with no luck. Thus, if the only way it's with the fuse it might be a home network provisioning thing? Guessing that they change local networks constantly... that's a long shot... Servers down seem more realistic indeed. Offtopic: +1 to algarve, you should also check "Costa Vicentina", perfect for a road trip. I was living in Portugal for quite some time and I'm really looking forward to try our new toy on those roads.
  11. Same situation in Spain. It's the second time it happens to me, first one a couple of weeks ago was fixed after some days. Then it's been working for a week and yesterday I've got the same consecutive steps you seemed to have, first the primary user didn't load, no internet. After a couple of hours I was able to load my primary user but still no internet. I did open a case towards Skoda Spain since the first issue, no official response yet, though. Let's see for how long this time...I'll let you know if I receive an official response from Skoda. My dealer shop didn't seem to know anything about the problem, neither I drove the car there as it looked pointless. I didn't try the fuses trick either. I assume that kind of restarts the eSIM plus the server connection?
  12. Hi there!! New member from Spain. I became a father a year ago and I thought it was about time to have a family car... I ended up looking for a PHEV option with a big trunk and nice habitability and after some searching and drive testing of different options I fall in love with the Octavia IV Combi Style. It's been a couple of weeks already since I've got it and so far I love it. Fortunately I just found one of the many errors it seems to have looking at the different threads. :) (The internet one) I've been reading you since my initial search so it's time to contribute as well a little. Cheers, Manu
