Any idea what this is?
Not a bad shout. I had a look and the only comments I would make to that is. There are lights on both side and this only occured on the drivers side. The lights only work when the boot is open, and I only had the boot open for a short period that day. I did charge the car overnight so I wonder if it had anything to do with that?

Any idea what this is?
No loudspeaker, and it was only on the one side. Otherwise I'm not sure what is there. I was hoping somebody on here would know.

Any idea what this is?
It's a 2021 model. I think the marks on the window you refer to are caused by the suckers they use to hold it when they are putting it in place.

Any idea what this is?
Hi. It was below freezing when I was out yesterday and stopped at the shop and saw this melted circle on the rear pillar of my Superb iV. I'm curious to understand what caused it. Anybody any ideas? Thanks.

Buying my company Skoda Superb
Hi. I'll be retiring soon and I'm considering buying my company Skoda Superb iv hatchback. It was registered in March 21 and has been regularly serviced and had done 82,000 miles. The buy price from the lease company is £10,800 which is a few £K below buying one through the trade, and I know it's not been driven hard. I would appreciate anyone's thoughts on this. I'll be 67 and so will probably just buy it to run as long as I can. Thanks in advance.

Missing Chrome Trim
Hi. I've discovered I've lost a chrome trim from my 2021 Skoda Superb iV hatch. Does anyone know what it's called and where I can get a replacement? Thanks in advance.

Error: Cooling System. Workshop!
I was told by the Service Deparment in Parks of Hamilton they actually don't have the equipment to do this type of work.

Error: Cooling System. Workshop!
I agree totally and have written a letter to them saying this very thing. If a dealership sells these cars, they should also have the equipment to service and repair them. I bet they will say that it is up to the dealer to make the servicing arrangements. It's not helped by the fact that there are three Skoda dealerships in the Glasgow area, and my lease company only deals with one of them. But I've contacted our fleet management people to give them a kick as waiting 3 weeks is a joke. And my company has to pay for the hire car till this happens, which the fleet comany are also not happy about.

Parks is not my favourite. Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

Error: Cooling System. Workshop!
@Rooted it's a company car so a lot of it is out of my hands. All I can do is apply pressure to the company who manage our fleet.

Error: Cooling System. Workshop!
This appears to be the problem. I had a VW AA call out on the car as it is a company car and the engineer said both the petrol and electric cooling systems are leaking. The big issue apparently is with the high voltage system. He advised I mustn't drive the car until it is fixed. Parks of Hamilton do not have the necessary technology to do the work, and the lease company don't actually have an agreement with the other Skoda dealers in Glasgow. I've been given a date of 24th of April as the earliest it can be done and that is it at Ingram's in Ayr. I've now kicked up a stink with the fleet management company about this.

Error: Cooling System. Workshop!
I've just had this error message come up on my 2021 Skoda Superb iV. It is a company car and I am trying to get it sorted but apparently my local Skoda dealer (Parks of Hamilton) say they are not able to fix it! Has anyone else encountered this issue? And do they know what causes it? Thanks in advance.

Software update
Interestingly enough, I spoke to the AA (first port of call for any issues with our lease company), and the Škoda dealer, and they both said that these software issues are a major problem throughout VAG and that they've had quite a lot of calls about them. Not very reassuring.

Software update
Nope, not seen either of those. It may be that was sent to the lease company. I got my car in May 2021. This was only booked in with a Škoda dealer once I had the issue with the software. Last time it was in at a Škoda dealer before this was October last year. EDIT: Just checked on the Škoda website and there are no active recalls for my vehicle.

Software update
Mine is just out from the dealers. I had the "Emergency SOS" message come up and loss of Infotainment. I had to wait 3 weeks for a booking slot for the dealer to do it, but they managed to get it all done in the day. They had to do two software updates. One for the Emergency SOS alarm, and the other for the infotainment system failure. At least it's all working again. This was probably made worse by the fact that mine is a company car, and the lease company don't use Škoda dealers, but Bosch authorised garages. They are not able to update the firmware, and probably don't get any information on necessary updates, so it never gets done. Something I will take up with the lease company.

The issue happens with either cable or on wireless.

Skoda Superb iV Hybrid - Columbus Infotainment System Issues
I've just been in to check mine. This is what my car is showing at the moment. It's a company car, so I'm fully subscribed.

You're right. That is absurd.

Android Auto/Amundsen/Phone model Which phone do you have?
I have a TCL 20 5G running Android 11, and I also have this happen to me occasionally. I have no idea what causes it, so I would be interested to hear what the garage tells you. I use it for Google Maps, BBC Sounds, Spotify, Audible and Podcast Addict mainly. My car is a Skoda Superb iV SE Technology.

Superb IV - L&K 1 year on
I wouldn't say totally unsuited. I get similar MPG to my old 2.0 turbo diesel, it produces about the same bhp and when at home I can potter around purely on my battery. It may not be optimal at the moment, but certainly not totally unsuitable.

Superb IV - L&K 1 year on
Interesting to see. When travelling on business, I stop at IHG which includes Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Crowne Plaza, etc., and so far I've only come across two that had them. One in Abingdon and one in Crewe which is so small, and located so badly, you could only get a Smart Car in the space. I think it's a worthwhile investment for hotels, as more people will be looking for this facility at their hotels as time moves on. And it may be the clincher for some when they choose their hotel. We went to see my children who live in Surrey between Christmas and New Year. We stayed for three nights. The hotel we stopped at didn't have chargers and because of its location, there was nowhere nearby I could leave the car to charge. So from leaving on the 26th, to returning home on the 30th, I didn't have the opportunity to charge my car once.

My job takes me over the UK. I live in Glasgow and drive all over. I tend to stop overnight in IHG Hotels and very few of them have chargers. Charging en-route at the services is not worth it as the car takes to long to charge. Likewise if I stop anywhere for an hour.

It performs to meet my needs, and, if there was a better charging network and/or the car charged faster, then it would be better suited. It's not a bad car, and I'm very happy with it for doing long distances. But the infrastructure is just not in place to make the most of what it offers. However, the £3000 p.a. saving on Company Car Tax is a big bonus.

Superb IV - L&K 1 year on
I'm late on to this but just for my input, I've had an SE Technology iV for about 16 months and my viewpoint on it It's a company car, so the amount of money I am saving on company car tax made it a no-brainer for me. I charge it overnight on mains (we'll get a charger when we move house) so the length of time to charge it at home is not an issue. When travelling on business, I can't charge it at service stations as it takes too long. When I stop overnight, very few hotels have on-site charging and I can do an 800+ mile round trip without ever being able to charge my car. When travelling on hybrid mode, I get mid 50's mpg, so no better than the 2.0 turbo diesel Superb I had previously. I have been able to tow a caravan with it, with no issues whatsoever. The boot is smaller but, thankfully it is reduced from a big size so still a decent capacity. I like the car, it runs fine but in all honesty, apart from the tax break, and the fact it comes with an auto, it does not give me personally any benefit over the old 2.0 turbo diesel.
