  1. Kessy can be temporarily AND permanently disabled. From the manual...
  2. Had my VRS in for its 30K service last week and this was one of the issues I mentioned when book it in. Its happened three times in the the 18 months I've had it. VERY strange. Sometimes almost sounds musical in an electronic / industrial sort of way. On picking up the car the service rep went through the issues I'd raised and said the white noise was a known problem and should now be resolved after a software update. Fingers crossed it is...
  3. Sorry to hear you're still having issues. Mine went in for its first service a few weeks back and the software was updated at the same time. Some weirdness since that wasn't an issue prior to the update is that the blind spot warning will fire at seemingly random times, and on power up the stereo blasted us with what sounded like a cross between white noise and techno music AT FULL VOLUME ! Neither of our phones had connected. The only way we could stop it was with a reset of the infotainment system. Edit: The wait at Sydney City Skoda was less than 2 weeks.
  4. Hello from Aus ! Unfortunately we have crippled functionality in this hemisphere 😉 Media playback from a USB drive is about the only thing I can think of.
  5. No issues reading codes here.
  6. Post back with your results !!
  7. Hi Dave, can you provide links please ? I hope I haven't done any permanent damage 😬
  8. Strangely I WAS able to add g-meter but not power and torque displays. Seems a bit hit and miss
  9. I don't think so. Well... unless you had a piece of metal sticking out of your tyre also ? Thinking about my earlier post, being that I had no idea of the flat, the car potentially saved me $600 if you factor in potential damage to the rim.
  10. When leaving work the other night the car started alarming that front assist was not available. Like any modern computer, the fix was to turn it off and back on again I hesitate to winge too much though as the tyre pressure monitor saved me $300 yesterday by telling me the rear left tyre was flat.
  11. That HAS to be wrong ! I'd go back to your source and ask them for THEIR source.
  12. I have the 2L turbo petrol and couldn't be happier with it. Last trip I averaged 5.8l/100km and travelled 760km on a tank. Although due to the car having a PPF and Australia's comparatively dirty petrol, I'm forced to put premium unleaded ( 95RON ) in the tank.
  13. Not as prepared as I'd hoped. After waiting patiently for 6 months and still not having a delivery date, I cancelled my Kia Sorento and bought an Octavia the following day.
  14. Add fuel economy to that list. I averaged 5.8l/100km on a trip last weekend and travelled 760km before stopping to refill.
  15. It's pretty disappointing that you weren't offered a courtesy car considering your car is less that 2 weeks old and they've asked to keep the car overnight. Can I ask which dealership you're using ? I've read if you hold the Home and Menu buttons for 10 seconds you can access the service menu. There might be more software versions that can be checked there after updates.
