whilst i cant find out if my dealer is giving my build spot away each time, i've checked and my sli number is active adn awaiting a build week 100% so my dealer hasnt sold my car on at least

can they do this though? my car is assigned to a sli number, if that car gets built and the delaer sells it to someone else when i check then surely that sli number has closed?

i've asked my dealer to chase also, i want to know why i had a confirmed build week then 3 days before it never happened only to get put back to stage 00 again it just doesnt make sense. Cant help alos but think my dealer is playing this and choosing who he serves as hes miles and miles away. We got what i think is a great price sub 30k for a sportline so new prices i worry they'll just keep me at the bottom. What makes it worse is VWFS dont want to know and just say if i dont want my current lease car hand it back!

see one hand i worry and think as i got what i believe is a very very good deal they now dont want to know. But my order has been accepted and waiting a build week, surely the factory wouldnt know the price nor care just assign the build week etc....... the dealer also would have no control over the build week either at the factory surely all they see is the job card an what stage it is at? either way its still a total mess, i dont even know how long is too long to wait which is worrying also,

im buying this time round but like you constantly having to extend my VW lease. Have you spoke to them ref warranty on your lease car?

mines a sportline with pano roof and digital dash, digital dash i imagine a lot have as some models come as std, pano roof again not many chips. I ordered nearly 10 months ago if someone out there is prepared to show me no car same as mine 1.5 with more specs hasnt been built i'll take everything i've said back.............. but they wont be able to absolute **** show this is

In other news, 9 months 8 days have passed since ordering and................................................ still awaiting a unconfirmed build date. Reading on here so many having build dates and ordering months and months after me is killing me

yep me too 9 months just passed, could have extended the family and added further need for a 7 seater

Weekly check with the dealer, no change awaiting build week why does a week seem like a month i just want the car

we've gone graphite grey blind i was so nervous ordering having not seen it. Tiguan is white at the mo with gloss black so wanted a change. Piccies looks good, although i saw a silver one yesterday i whilst i normally hate silver cars it looked really nice. I guess the gloss black helps alot.

raised a complaint last week to which the lady came back yesterday. She said she had spoke with skoda UK production and confirmed i had a confirmed build week of 42 which was pulled 3 days before but she couldnt tell me why. She just confirmed that i'd gone from that right back to order accepted by the factory and to speak with my dealer on updates (she has been told hundreds of times i do but they aren't being told anything) Pretty useless again shock horror!

a friend has a bmw on order and has been put back twice, main difference is his dealer can actually communicate with him and expand on why not like skoda who just leave you hanging with nothing beyond a joke, but i'll wait monies and looks cant be beaten just very frustrating. likely near 12 month wait for a skoda is a joke

They know the cars they want to produce and with what extras, as they hold all the cards and don't give a toss about anyone i'm pretty sure and fair saying you'll likely be put right at the bottom and forgotten about should you keep sticking with having the extras. Only extra i have is virtual dash and that is a biggy for me not having especially come sell on time............

absolute dogs dinner. If we weren't getting such a good deal i'd cancel that and tbh i think there's few 7 seaters out there that look as good as the sportline especially for under 40k!

😮 tahts my worst nightmare. I spoke to VW about having extended warranty and they said they couldnt. I explained why should i pay to which they said the garage the car came from may honour work done but thats over a 200mile round trip as it lease the car is sourced from anywhere. Its that bad i contemplate having sitting on the drive and not driving it to go wrong but then im paying 350+ for a new big white plant pot effectively. Its an absolute disgrace, i dont think anyone holds them accountable for the situation the world is in with semi conductors but as you say their handling has been a joke and they know they can just hide behind the covid/semi conductor issue!

Annoyingly im having to continually extend my lease (VW) for the same monthly amounts but also be responsible for anything that goes wrong now its out of warranty another punch in the face

ours was order through my wifes work (Police) so bought outright but through a scheme/broker i know my order details have priority against it on the skoda database as i managed to see this for myself but hasnt made a difference
