  1. And how long did you have to wait for the battery to charge?
  2. I agree it is a shame. They were great, right up to the problem, and then they stopped communicating. They immediately blamednthe courier, even though the external packaging was undamaged.
  3. Where did this mysterious air lock come from? If you have not done any maintenance on the cooling system, then there would have to be a problem to cause an air lock?
  4. I will be keeping an eye on this post, as I know there is an update available for my car. Being an IV, I have no SD card slot. I have tried a USB stick in the front port, and it does not seem to work? The online download does not work either.
  5. So calculating the overall fuel cost for my 2141 km driven, I have spent €43.14 on SP95 and €49.85 on electrons. So about €93 for 2141 km driven in my ownership, so about €4.30 per 100km, compared to €7.75 on SP95 at an estimated 5l/100km. This is based on the actual consumption of my car, and the prices of today.
  6. For the brief moments the ICE is working for me? Probably about 5 to 5.5 l/100km. I did an 80km total trip at the weekend, and got average consumption of 2.7 l/100km and 3l/100km on the two 40 km sections. If you have no battery power left, expect the economy to be similar to a 1.4/1.5 litre petrol car. I did my calculations, and the car is slightly cheaper to run electric rather than petrol, assuming you can offset the higher purchase cost. On the plus side, the instant torque available in sport mode is just silly. My quick and dirty calculation against my E46 320D showed that a daily commute cost me between €3.50 and €4. The same commute in the Superb costs me €2.
  7. I have had my Superb IV for almost two months, and 2000 km. I have reached an average fuel consumption of 200mpg/ 1.3litres/100km recently. I bought this car, as I needed something “new” as my old car was not long for this world, and the wife wanted me to get a hybrid. I also wanted to avoid a diesel. For my use it is perfect. I have a 40km total commute, with a few more on top running around locally. This is achieved 100% electric. Of course, as colder weather comes, I may burn a little bit of fuel. Yes, a faster charge rate would be nice, but I charge my car overnight. I researched the car before, and new that fast charging was not possible, so I am not disappointed. It charges happily from a 16A domestic socket, so there was no need for an expensive home charger. The reasons I bought a PHEV? The infrastructure is not fully in place to go 100% electric just yet, especially for my usual destinations. I want the convenience of an ICE car for longer runs, with an EV for local travels. The superb gives me this. A bit more range would be nice in electric mode, but I knew what to expect when I bought the car. I have no misconception about this being a “green” car. It’s not. Am I saving the world by driving it? No. If I wanted to do that, I would not drive a car. Mine was an ex-demonstrator, just over a year old when I got it, and I managed to get a reasonable deal on it, trading in my dead E46 320D with a government grant to sweeten the deal. I got mine for a similar price to a 2 litre petrol, and in some cases a diesel. The IV let’s me go into the low emissions zones, so it is convenient. It’s also quiet, and comfortable. That is all that I want.
  8. Final update - no feedback from Kopacek. PayPal have decided to refund me for the damaged bumper protector. I won’t be using them again.
  9. I waited a little longer, to give them a chance to reply. No word. I raised a case with PayPal, and got a very quick reply from Kopacek, telling me they were still waiting forthe pictures they requested. I resent them the e-Mail I sent them with the pictures. I am still waiting for their response. Not impressed with them so far, and they were not much cheaper than my local dealer.
  10. Failing that, there are pictures here - http://www.kopacek.com/Skoda/SUPERB-III/Superb-III-Combi-Facelift-2019-massive-stainless-steel-rear-bumper-protective-panel-V4
  11. I’ll take a picture tomorrow.
  12. Thanks for the feedback.
  13. I had an issue with my bumper protector I ordered from Kopacek. It arrived slightly damaged.I contacted them with photos of the damage. They requested photos of the packaging as they started to blame the courier. Photos were provided. The external packaging is fine. The fact they let the bumper protector float around inside a large box for delivery could explain why it was damaged. It has been over a week since I sent the photos, and I am yet to get a response. Is this normal practice for them? I think I paid with PayPal, so if I don’t hear back soon, I will launch a partial refund claim on the bumper protector, as I think I can dress the damage out, without it being too visible, or affecting the fit.
  14. I will be going through my first winter with this car, and I was wondering if the Skoda Connect app was any good for launching the pre-heating of the windows and the car? I don’t have a heated windscreen or an auxiliary heater, so will it actually defrost the car? I know it cools the interior with the aircon, as I have tried that.
  15. If the car has not been homologated for use with 19” rims, then you may not be able to legally fit them.
  16. I was implying that my phone being on Android 10 may be the reason the Wireless connection to my MIB3 unit does not work.
  17. Just checked my phone. It is still stuck on Android 10. Looks like an AA Wireless is the sensible way forward.
  18. Thanks for the guide. It was a useful reference, although I did mine slightly differently, bolting the flaps in place before drilling the holes. This made sure the plug would fit in the right place. Oikey, I used the following part numbers on my estate: 3V0075111 3V0075101
  19. So where can I get an Android Auto Wireless dongle from? Is there another source other than Indiegogo?
  20. I have just checked. L&K do have the option of 19" wheels, as does sportline and Scout. I had checked Style before, as that is what I have.
  21. I did not think that photos of mud flaps, a boot liner and bumper protector were "interesting" enough.
  22. I trried to configure a new Superb here in France on the Skoda websire, and 19" wheels were not available.
  23. What is the law for winter tyres? I am thinking of fitting smaller wheels (currently on 19") for winter. I have yet to find it, although I have not spent lots of time looking for it.
