Skoda Fabia MKIV 2021
I like the mirror image e-Root! Pity the RHD version doesn’t have the handbrake in that position.

Skoda Fabia MKIV 2021
https://antyweb.pl/skoda-fabia-2021-takze-z-1-5-tsi-evo-i-travel-assist-juz-jezdzilismy/ There are a lot of reviews on foreign websites that give a lot more detail - this Polish review in particular has more pictures and analysis. I have added a picture of the dash/driving position from that article and think it looks good. The question for me is what is under the infotainment screen cover - hopefully user friendly layout.

1.5 TSI for Mk4 possibility?
There is no Polo GTi offered at present I don’t think. Hopefully with the forthcoming facelift it will be available again. By all accounts it is an excellent option if you want a wee car with a good turn of speed.

1.5 TSI for Mk4 possibility?
Hi Mirol The 1.5 engine is not currently offered in the Polo or Ibiza models. That may change with the face lifted Polo. But you’re right that it would be a welcome additional choice for those of us who would like a bit more ‘poke’ in a car of the Fabia’s size. So I agree with Carlton that it is unlikely we will see that engine.

Skoda Fabia mk4 on the way?
I agree with you Rick that the new platform will help - better refinement, space and fuel economy. However Skoda will no doubt go with the new VAG infotainment system which has virtually no external buttons/knobs. This lack of easy adjustment while driving is a real safety issue to consider. Also, there will be the introduction of Lane Assist which in most new VAG models is criticised for being too ‘aggressive’ in application. It is fine on long motorway journeys but very annoying/borderline dangerous on narrow country lanes and roads with poor lane markings. There is a lot of concern and criticism of Lane Assist on the Kamiq and Scala forums for example. Also not easy to switch off - why not have a single button to switch it off like you have with the Stop/Start button? I had a T-Cross for a year and hated the Lane Assist! So, will it be a better car? In many ways it will but I hope these driving/safety issues don’t spoil it. My plan is to go for the MK III SEL estate early next year when my Fabia will be 3 years old as the current estate will still be in production then.

Skoda Fabia discontinued
It seems that the new Fabia Estate will not appear until much later than the hatch. However, in the meantime, the current Estate will continue in production well into 2022. While not ideal at least it still gives the option of having an estate version available. See link below for the story. https://www.motor1.com/news/460771/skoda-fabia-wagon-coming-2023/

Interview with new Skoda boss Michael Schaffer
Below is a link to an interesting article from Autorevue.cz. It is in Czech but Google translate will give you a good sense of the article. https://www.autorevue.cz/thomas-schafer-sef-skody-auto-nova-fabia-combi-vypada-fakt-dobre-levne-modely-jsou-ve-hre It is a wide ranging interview with the new Skoda boss Thomas Schaffer. He explains some of his philosophy, how Skoda will go forward and the importance of new electric models. For myself I was very pleased to read that, as I mentioned in another post, the new Fabia Mk IV will, after all, have an estate version. He is a big fan of the Enyaq!

Skoda Fabia discontinued
Taken from recent Skoda boss Thomas Schaefer’s LinkedIn page: “I have to admit that I’m a huge fan of our #FABIA: For over 20 years, three generations and 4.5 million units sold, this model has represented great value-for-money like no other, and it attracts a broad range of customers. In fact, it’s our second best-selling model after the #OCTAVIA. From my point of view, this unique success story is the perfect launchpad for the next generation that we will be presenting next year. I’m very much looking forward to the new FABIA, not least because we will once again have an COMBI version of the model that comes later. This is very important to us because it underlines our commitment to offering affordable, practical mobility in the entry-level segments. Stay tuned!” So confirmation that the Mk IV will have an estate version - really pleased about that! I think most people thought it would probably not happen.

Skoda Fabia discontinued
Hi Rick Did you speak to someone at Carwow for that info? The Carwow website shows orders are available as does the Skoda UK website. Normally they discontinue a model as the next model becomes available. The Fabia MK IV is not due till well into next year. I ask because I am interested in ordering a DSG Estate but not sure whether to wait for the Mk IV.

Fabia Estate no longer available?
Just noticed Skoda have come up with new finance offers. The Fabia’s offer is quite attractive: £750 deposit contribution and 0% interest. Quite tempted to go for 95 PS DSG - order before 4th January 2021.

Fabia Estate no longer available?
Good news! The DSG option is now available on both hatch and estate - extra cost is just over £1000 which is reasonable I think. I had a go on the configurator and the DSG is available on the 95PS engine. Note to TerFar - any given new model year and any specification changes, starts around September the year before in terms of factory orders. New brochure also available with detailed costs. This a major development and Skoda UK should be congratulated for this welcome update.

Fabia Estate no longer available?
I just found this from a Skoda press release in June about the changes for model year 2021: Adapted engines and new wheels for the ŠKODA FABIA 2021 model year In the FABIA, the 95-PS (70-kW) 1.0 TSI will switch to the Euro 6d emissions standard in the second half of the year. The three-cylinder direct-injection engine will then also be available with a 7-speed DSG in addition to the manual 5-speed gearbox, which comes as standard. The entry-level 1.0 MPI with an output of 60 PS (44 kW) and manual 5-speed gearbox will also be converted to Euro 6d. The 16-inch Vigo alloys in anthracite and the black polished 17-inch Blade alloys are being added to the wheel portfolio. Just like the SCALA and KAMIQ, all FABIA models will be fitted with an activated carbon filter and the new version of the optional KESSY keyless vehicle entry system, in which the transmitter signal is deactivated if the key is not moved for five minutes. The Swing system will be the entry-level infotainment system in the ŠKODA FABIA models for the European market. It offers a 6.5-inch touchscreen and comes with DAB radio as standard. So it looks like the DSG will be making a return after all. I hope the estate version continues but I’m a bit concerned that it has been removed from the configurator. Does anyone know when 2021 model year ordering begins?

Fabia Estate no longer available?
I have been keeping an eye on the Fabia configurator to see if Skoda re-introduces the DSG for the range - especially the estate. I noticed today that the Hatch S model is only ‘available from stock’ and the whole Estate range is the same. Is this to do with Mk IV introduction? Perhaps it means no more Estates period. I was hoping they might keep the estate for the Mk IV and have DSG available again. Does anyone know anything about these deletions from the model choices.
