Is this curved thing normal on my car?
Thanks fellas. Yes it seems to be normal. I tried looking at other Fabias on the street and it seems a lot of them had it.

Is this curved thing normal on my car?
Hey there fellers. I was replacing a few vacuum hoses and spark plugs the other day, and I noticed that the scuttle panel doesn't like up with the firewall or whatever that is called. The hood shuts fine. Is that gap normal? Excuse my very good artistic skills.

Missing a plastic trim piece in the trunk
Hi guys. I think I'm missing a plastic trim piece in the boot. What's the part number for it? Or where can I find it? Yes I'm a perfectionist 😁

Hi, what car do you have? On the Fabia I might be able to help.

Reconnect radio aerial
Can you check behind the CD player? The aerial plug is the round shaped one. It might have disconnected by itself from running over bumps and stuff. You'll have to pull the CD player though. Worth a check, should be easy. I don't think you have to unplug anything, just enough to see if it's still there

Hi fellers. Proud owner of a rust bucket Fabia MK1 from Romania, chiming in
That's right. On the plus side, the timing chain almost never has to be replaced because it's so wide and reliable. On the negative side, look at my engine. I'm the fourth owner (mother in law gave me the car for free :D ) and it has 166,000 kilometers on the dash. Looks like the previous owners didn't know what oil changes were. Also, wow isn't that 59hp engine in the Octavia really underpowered?

Thanks. I don't know how cars can not have armrests. Might have to get a nicer one, this one squeaks too much since the plastic is so cheap on it. At least I won't fall asleep at the wheel anytime soon with it So it looks like a Classic but with the features of the Comfort? That's cool. I saw the higher end models have lighter colored seats, but that's a no from me because they look tough to keep clean. It even has the powered headlights that move up and down, but I never used it myself, seems a bit much. I'd rather have ABS or that little dashboard monitor thing, where you can cycle screens between MPG, outside temperature etc.

Oh it's an AQW. The one that has a lot of torque in the low end, great for city driving as you get the car moving fast. Why do you ask?

Lofty's Sprint Yellow Fabia vRS Mk1 - "Project Daffodil"
Awesome project mate. I have been reading this topic from beginning to the present in these last two hours. It's just... amazing. The hundreds or thousands of hours you have put in this car!!! Just a question that could help me. Where did you get the "genuine Skoda accessory boot bags, and a new genuine Skoda boot liner"? Because they look awesome and I could definitely use them so I can free some boot space. Half of it is taken by my tools, but I reckon I'll have enough for some wrenches or screwdrivers in those bags. And the boot liner! Clean.

I think this is the Classic trim level. Weird I know, but it has the badges on the front fenders. Maybe the fenders have been replaced at one point and this is the Comfort trim actually? Maybe you can tell me from the image. I don't really know the trim levels that well. Yes the windows are electric in the front only. Not that it bothers me that the back windows are crank since they are one less thing to worry about. I rarely have passengers in the back anyway so Flamenco Red is very similar but the Cayenne red seems to have lighter tones and reflections, if you know what I mean.

It's called Cayenne red. "Cayenne" as in the pepper, not the Porsche, sadly... it shines orange in strong light. Looks like it's metallic Funny how the previous owner could afford this expensive paint, power mirrors, heated mirrors, fog lights, but did not choose to have A/C. Thanks for the welcome!

Hi fellers. Proud owner of a rust bucket Fabia MK1 from Romania, chiming in
Just wanted to say hello because it's polite. I have been a lurker here for months but not anymore. Decided to finally join here for good My car is a MK1 Fabia 1.4 MPi, 8 valve. Yes it's slow, yes it doesn't have the best gas mileage. Does it take me anywhere I want to go? Yes, and comfortably so. Therefore it's more than enough I'm pretty new into cars but already replaced so many things on it myself: fuel pump, oil, oil filter, air filter, cabin filter, horn, radio, power steering fluid, tires (well, I just ordered them but still), coolant flush, coolant tank, oil pressure sensor and many more... since there is always something to replace either because it's broken or preventively, since I am almost as old as the car. I'm 21 and my car is from 2002. Here's a picture of my chariot Hope y'all are having a good time!
