  1. End of topic? The OP seems to have a solution that is acceptable.
  2. BT can be interpreted as British Telecom, which probably caused confusion.
  3. If you search for 'Music from USB' you will see a good suggestion for ripping cd's to a usb drive.
  4. I have completed the factory default reset and still no AA wirelessly. I will take the matter up with the dealership when I get the SOS update and the Infotainment update completed by them. Initially, after the reset, I could not log in as a user - repeated error message. A session on the chat line of Skoda Customer services did not resolve it. Yesterday, I got beyond the error message, but got stuck in an 'Updating User' loop, which timed out and after a few tries and then I quit. Today I was able to log in, but still no AA wirelessly.
  5. kodiaksportline Many thanks for your comments.
  6. The phone call and remote access session with Samsung support did not address anything that had not already been covered in the online chats. kodiaksportline What do you believe the factory reset will do to enable AA wirelessy? Furthermore, does anything stop that from getting undone when any updates or changes to settings are made?
  7. I am happy to do a factory default reset - after I have spoken to Samsung Support. I recall, back in September, when I got the car, that there was a 'logging on' procedure involving both keyfobs - this may have been to set up Care Connect, which has since expired and I don't intend to renew. Would I need some input from my Skoda dealer to set up the head unit after a factory reset?
  8. No joy turning Wireless Connection off and back on again, or following a procedure set out by ajrimmer, or confirming that my Hardware version is H22 ; Software 0270, as mentioned by gotomtom - both on another wireless AA post. I am waiting for the Remote Support session from Samsung UK, plus any updates my dealer might perform.
  9. P-J That's very interesting - perhaps there is still hope for me. I have checked my phone and Wireless Connection is turned on. I will try turning it off and back on again, while in the car, to see if it prompts the connection. Thanks.
  10. I contacted Skoda UK via their online chat facility this morning. I gave them my VIN and was told that my vehicle is not compatible with AA wirelessly (only via USB cable). When I pointed out that the Smartlink Information screen said it was compatible with both means, I was told that it is probably a generic screen for all the models. Not what I wanted to hear but it saves me from chasing something that I can't achieve.
  11. On my 70 plate/2021my model - On the Infotainment screen / Menu / Smartlink / Info tab - It states that AA can be connected via USB or Wirelessly. I am beginning to think that this is a generic screen and does not apply to my vehicle. Today I spent a good hour on Samsung's Chat facility to check if my phone is the cause of not being able to connect wirelessly. I am waiting for a call from Samsung technical support where they will have remote access to my phone, to investigate further. Recently my Skoda dealer said they would not investigate further until I could confirm that my phone is compatible with AA wirelessly. However they did not say that my vehicle is not capable of AA wirelessly.
  12. You might find it easier to go for a 90 degree elbow + a seperate short lead.
  13. Can you post a photo of the cover?
  14. T cut on the cover. Not sure about the screen though. Do you think there was grit on the cloth?
  15. Thanks for the explanation CJJE.
  16. We got our Karoq 1.5 SEL in September this year, it was a year old and had just under 10,000 on the clock. Two months on and the mileage is 11,500, after a trip to Scotland. The MySkoda app advises an oil change service in 9 moths time, so car is on variable servicing schedule. What determines the fixed and variable schedules?
  17. I mentioned the SOS fault to my dealer when I was enquiring how to activate Android Auto wirelessly. The dealer plugged in their diagnostic tool and reported that 'an SOS update' is required, as is an 'Infotainment update' The Infotainment update may have a bearing on AA wireless. Dealer is also waiting for a response from Skoda technical dept.
  18. I think I have set all the parameters, but can't get wireless AA to connect. I have a Galaxy A12 phone running Android 11. My car is a 20 plate (70) 1.5 SEL - 2021my, as it has a two spoke steering wheel with silver/chrome thumbwheels. On the AA settings page > + connect a car > Connect using wireless Android Auto - there is this statement 'Available on some 2021 model vehicles'. I assume this statement comes from the car (it works fine with the usb cable), rather than from AA. Does anyone have any further suggestions, please. Regards
  19. Thanks to all that responded. My car seems to lock in the same way as other users' cars do. I had expected that there would be a warning that a door was open at the time of pressing the lock button. Regards
  20. Thanks, to johnboy99 and agedbriar.
  21. I am new to Skoda and have had the Karoq for about 1 month. On a trip to Scotland there were a couple of issues which thankfully have rest and not repeated. First was MFD froze and the second was Emergency Call went off line. More recently I 'locked' the car, not realising a door was wide open. The car seemed to lock normally without any warning sounds. I discovered the issue the following morning - the door having beed open all night. I have not spoken to a dealer yet - wanted to hear from the community first. Regards
  22. I'm new to Skoda, having prviously owned Ford and Honda. I have a 20 plate Karoq 1.5 SEL for about a month - enjoying it.
