So, update time Spoke in great lengths to another member and we managed to work out that the one headlight was indeed wrong, and no doubt also had the wrong module fitted, so we arranged a meet up After taking a little trip to potters bar (Elliott) we had more progress Headlight fitted, new module coded great stuff.. OK, yes, you have it right thats me Yes I bought it as a cat s, no, I was unaware of all these issues Ive been faced with and certainly wasnt told of anything that was wrong. I have chosen to put it right as I feel it's worth it in the long run.

Things found Deffo the engine loom was buggered both side of the connector Headlight seemed to be wrong and refused to be coded Parking sensor loom has been wrapped up.. Needs replacing as not knowing what's underneath Lots of generic codes cleared but the radar for the acc could be coded so winning in one respect

Now, most of the generic codes have gone, its been left with the genuine issues, mainly the front radar calibration, headlight and component protection. Car is now in the safe hands I think of vw retrofit in redditch

Continuation. The legacy file part 1
Evening all, so you guys know me from my previous threads, looks like I bought a pig, but im not going to let it beat me, nor let an unscrupulous garage (deals on wheels Manchester) sell it on. Fools errand possibly but hey So. Here's where we are the garage didn't want anything to do with it, i was well within my right to return it etc but they point blank refused to cooperate, not suprised by this in any way. I'm still deliberating taking them to small claims but that's for another thread Anyway Red has been to two other garages for diagnostics and coding.

Cruise, a dodgy left sidelight and more
Surely not though, even with it being a cat c, you wouldn't expect it to have more errors than you can shake a stick at if it's been repaired right, some of which has been a complete bodge.

Cruise, a dodgy left sidelight and more
I think I'll need it. π€

Cruise, a dodgy left sidelight and more
There was only one month remaining, so a new one was put on last Sunday. No advisories or anything... Which I wholeheartedly question at this point.

Cruise, a dodgy left sidelight and more
I have the old v5, and yes I knew it was a cat c, I had fine a hpi chrck prior to purchase make sure no outstanding finance. Even so, nothing about any of the faults listed above, and even said on the add the repair done to a high quality (just a shame a have no pics of the original advert. It's was very quickly removed when the car was bought)

Cruise, a dodgy left sidelight and more
Garage took the car in on a px and by the seem havnt checked it over fully, seem like they assumed it was a clear mot so all fine kind of approach... Which we all know is not the right thing to assume. No pics of damage or anything just a "looks OK to me attitude" Seem to get he impression of that anyway with a text conversation It was advertised up for 12995, I bargained them down to 12 before I'd even seen it asking them if it was worth my while coming up from South Wales to Manchester and they agreed I took the car for a test drive and cruise wasn't even looked at, as the rev gauge sat at 6k and stuck, just the gauge, not the engine. The car was brought back and kept there until the Monday this week -15th- I was then rung to say the ruage had probably lost its calibration after the battery had been left dead for a bit but was ok now. Picked up on Thursday and 48hrs later have this to show for my efforts Gutted if I'm honest.

Cruise, a dodgy left sidelight and more
Im going down the road of asking the garage what they're going to do to get this fixed, I've presented them with the issues and pictures less than 48 of having the car and I'm offering them the chance to respond one way or another. Seems fair. Just waiting to see what they come back with. Might be needed this quoting thr consumer right act 2015.... Thanks!
