No, didn't try that as the system restored itself overnight. However, I'll file it under 'good to know', thank you Interested to know what the actual cause of the problem is ?

Lost all Audio Sound
Well, all smiles here, went out to the car this morning and everything was working. On one hand that is good but I'd like to know (and Solve) the issue rather than worry that every time I walk away from her, it may fail 😒 I'll keep an eye on it

Lost all Audio Sound
Just jumping in here, mine packed up this evening. Went out, parked the car, everything was fine. Got back in the car three hours later, no sound output at all. Will check the fuse tomorrow in day light and or hope it resets over night Otherwise it's off to the dealer 🙄 (unless anybody has another fix ?)

Thanks Skomas. Dealer fitted the lower power one, I've just ordered a pack of 2032's 👍 OK, sounds like a plan, thanks

Keyfob issue after changing battery (red light not coming on when button pressed)...any suggestions?
Hi Guys Similar topic, dash has just told me to change the key fob battery. They seem to last about 2-2.5 yrs but the two spares (original three key car) are also nearly gone as they are also passive searching for the car all the time etc etc So, I'm just about to renew the batteries. Question: If I leave a spare key without a battery (seems a waste to have them dying in a draw) will they lose their settings/ memory over the two years. Don't want to have to get them re-coded, might as well leave the battery in ? Any thoughts, what do YOU DO you save your spare key or does everybody let it die with the main key. Mine were all dead within a month of each other Final thought, any preference on aftermarket batteries? The dealer re-fitted with Panasonic CS2025, although the fob say CR2032 which I assume is a long(er) life battery ? Thanks in advance

London Wrap. PPF
Hi Guys Looking to put some PPF on my Superb, starting to pick up stone chips and I need to protect my Matrix LED, might even look at a wrap ! I'm in London, and all the people here only seem interested in supercars. Has anybody done PPF in London or the SEast ? Any recommendations, reviews, good or bad, please share............

Hands free / End call
Maybe 🤣

Hands free / End call
I think they just gave up and settled on the screen solution. Wonder in the Mk4, just launched, has a better solution as Skoda seem to be keeping, going back to physical buttons ??

Hands free / End call
Thanks for the comments guys. Need a phone buddy who is happy to keep phoning me even though I am deliberately ending the call either to check how I can do it or trying to phone him back to ask him to call me back (it gets old VERY quickly😁) Now wondering if a double tap on the right hand roller would work ? Superb doesn't have a dedicated button......................

Hands free / End call
Yes, correct, the problem is selecting the phone menu takes ages (compared to just tapping the green phone icon on the screen!) Correct, the problem is ''only if the phone menu is selected''

Hands free / End call
Hi Guys Sorry for the tardy reply, sorted. NOT as easy as you might suppose. Problem is that the whole system is prioritised towards the touch screen (which all manufactures see as the future) So, when you get the car you are able to set us a favs phone list and also search your address book on the 'big' screen. Press the number on the screen and the call starts, ITS ALL ON THE SCREEN. Incoming calls also light up on the screen, press to accept. The right hand roller on the steering wheel can accept or end a call BUT ONLY is the phone function is selected on the info screen between the speedo and Tacho. If it was set on, say Nav or fuel range (my two go to's) pressing it will just change the selection in the menu option you have displayed, regardless of it there is a 'live' call in progress So, if a call comes in, rather than accepting on the screen (easy) you would have to scroll through the small info menu, using the R/H roller button, select phone and THEN you can accept the call. Equally, if on a call, that you accepted on the screen, to END it on the steering wheel, you again need to select phone on the small info screen and then press it. So, doable but totally counter intuitive. It's a software issue. its a multifunction button, tied to a selected menu. Really needs a dedicated button, no room. Alternatively when it detects a call it should auto switch to phone function to either accept or reject and during a live call. But it doesn't, first world problem, but be nice if it worked as you don't have to take your eye off the road, As it is you have to aim for a small red phone icon on a low screen and you HAVE to look to see and aim for it Not sure you can't programme a short cut so I'll keep trying and let you guys know Cheers

Hands free / End call
Thanks again guys, interesting that the answers (other than use the screen) all appear to speculative to one degree or another. Does nobody make hands free calls anymore............... 😊
-
Hands free / End call
Thanks guys. There is no obvious button, nothing highlighted, no obvious solution........... The only this I get is an overlay on the touch screen which blocks the sat nav and is a little on the small side as, whilst in a moving car, you have to hit a small red phone icon ! I will continue to experiment and advise

Hands free / End call
👍 Now where did I put that (had a look at the on line version, not helpful)
-
Hands free / End call
Ok, understand, I just followed the 'C' ! Here is my steering wheel, no phone button. As far as I can see I have to use the touch screen unless anybody knows better ?
-
Hands free / End call
Hi Guys Thanks for this. I have two of these, one on each side. Right hand side selects a function, and then scrolls through options in the menu, pressing selects a menu choice function The Left hand one controls volume on any audio (inc phone) current being played and a single press mutes or pauses. Haven't tried a double press, will do and advise

Hands free / End call
Hi Guys I know I'm about to feel foolish very soon, but here goes. Can you end a phone call other than using the touch screen I thought there would be a button dedicated to it on the steering wheel, but I can't see it, what am I missing Apologies in advance for being a time waster 🤣

Induction air intake, flooded roads
Hi everybody Just a quick question, where is the induction air fed from. Is it low down or higher up in the engine bay ? Friend had a Jaguar XF and the induction feed was down under the rad, so only about 3 to 4" above the road and driving through a small flood killed the engine ! Anybody done any flood driving and how did you get on ? Thanks in advance
