  1. Hi Guys Picked up on a couple of threads here discussing MPG, mainly TDI's and I wondered what my new 'petrol' Superb might manage (I've only had it a week) It was due back at the dealer this morning, software patch (different thread). Dealer is 61 miles away, cross country, A1 dual carriageway, A505 Fast A road, then slow local traffic through Cambridge. Eco mode and adaptive cruise, not holding up traffic, only stuff that came past were the white vans on the Dual A1. Result = 48.7 mpg, not bad I thought. Photo attached. Might crack 50mpg on a LONG motorway haul at the national limit Long term is hovering around 38.8 over 2700miles, all but a couple of hundred done by the dealer whilst it was a demo, I'd settle for a 40mpg rolling average as it's going to get 'squeezed' when the mood takes me !! So what is everybody else getting, much better or much worse.......................come on !
  2. If it works it works, car looks GREAT !
  3. Blimey, that's a lot. Covered the lights, I wonder how it affects the headlamps (refractive index of the film) I have matrix LEDs fine tuned optics ? Front area of the roof, can you see the seam ?
  4. Yes, looks really good (and especially in WHITE ! 😍) I've been using a spray ceramic coating, builds up over time, water just beads off ND1: You also mentioned protection film, where did have that fitted, front bumper, higher ? Sills ? Thinking down the same lines
  5. This Red is quite popular 😍
  6. True, it is a GREAT colour, but.......................brave ? 😍🤣
  7. Physical controls were a deciding factor after test drive in Octavia RS
  8. Mine is in with the dealer next week, reload the software and any updates, and then try again (I'll let you know)
  9. So, in addition to or instead of POI mapping, has anybody got a camera detector or speed camera warning device fitted I had a Cheetah 550 in my old VW which was great, no longer made so looking to replace. I.E. Road Angel, well reviewed but pricy and with a subscription Any suggestions ? ''Yes Officer, I always drive within the speed limit . . . . . . but S%&T happens''
  10. Hi Guys Here's mine, fresh out of the box, demo+1, 6mths, 6k. Haven't even had time for a photo shoot, so an original dealer photo and one of mine in the Showroom Looking forward to putting some winter tyres on it and getting some miles under it. Looks sharp in White, however, I don't think there is a bad colour in the range
  11. Thanks Steve. I think you're right, however, until I'm Primary user, can't do anything 😣 Currently sorting this with the dealer
  12. OK, thanks, worth a punt ! I'll report back
  13. Hi Patent Thanks for the reply, encouraging. How did you connect to the house wifi ? I've seen an option but assumed it was for setting up a hot spot inside the car Thanks in advance
  14. Hi Guys New guy here trying to load Speed Camera POI's (how hard can it be 😏) Great read, if a little confusing. Couple of problems. I'm a little bit stuffed at present as I can't even get the car to accept me as the Primary ! Once I have that sorted, I'd like to try and load the POI's via the connect hub. Failing that, direct via a USB C stick (21MY USB 'C') Q: I have a USB C next to the wireless charging tray, ashtray back in the day, and a conventional USB port in the armrest. However, I can't find a guide that say which of these ports are No1 or No2 (primary/ secondary) or which feeds into the Columbus. Anybody know or doesn't it actually matter ? Thanks in advance, great forum thread
  15. Ps. If anybody have an updated solution, please feel free to wade in 😁
  16. Hi Guys I too have a Superb that refuses to allow me to become the Primary. Tried nearly everything mentioned above. As always forum's have the best info and the protection program (manufacturing) seems a likely problem. However, the 'connected car' isn't connected until the Primary is installed, so all a bit frustrating and Skoda wonder why they don't sell more subscription services after the first free year !! (Doh!) Looks like I'll be speaking to my dealer then. I'll report back when I have news
  17. Hi Everyone VAG fan boy here. Three years in a TSi UP! (great little car) but it won't tow. So, the wife has that now and I'm the proud owner of a Superb 3 facelift 190TSi Sportline. All the toys and, most importantly, a factory deployable tow bar. It's a great tow car and the ACC is currently the stand out feature and I'm also loving the heated steering wheel ! I did look at the hybrid, but the factory won't plate the towing rate unless the tow bar is factory fitted, so petrol it is. currently doing an average of 40mpg peaking at 44 in eco mode. Considering the size, very happy with that It's got everything including a spare so not much planned other than winter tyres/ wheels (off to another forum before the Moderators get me 😁) Mike
