Yes. Handbook in the car, but stripped down version. On line version is more detailed and it would have been nice to have on the hard drive....

Superb - cannot set up Primary User
Skoda dealer was very wary about this but basically a factory build fault. Dealer had the car all over Christmas, did a complete re-boot with new software. There was talk of replacing the ICE unit if it didn't take, but it did, so OK. Really wouldn't want to be doing this out of warranty Sorry I can't help you with the full detail as, under warranty, they didn't share the work, just said its fixed ! Hope yours get sorted without to much grief

Download manual (anybody)
Hi Everybody Has anybody actually DOWNLOADED the owners manual ? Everywhere I go online in Skoda world, I keep finding links to 'download' the owners manual However, whilst its easy to find it on line, I can read it all day long but, I haven't been able to download it. Is it just me being dense or can it only be viewed online ?? Anybody . . . . . .

Mirror Dip - Drivers Side ?
Hi P4 Haven't seen a linked dipped mirror when reverse selected, but I have noticed that when I did the drivers side mirror manually it ALSO dips the near side which is a neat surprise, and returns when the drivers mirror is manually returned. So they are linked, if they do that, why not the link to reverse ??

Skoda mk3 electric boot problem
Hi Nelson Sorry for the tardy reply. It's a 2021 MY car. Three keys, none of them now remotely open the boot. Boot switch and internal switch both work fine. Feels like it's been disabled in settings, but hasn't as I've checked. As an aside, I checked the handbook and the trouble shooting section doesn't trouble shoot the problem but just refers you to the other options available to you (physical switches) very helpful.......... So, back to the dealer ?

Skoda mk3 electric boot problem
Late in on this, my remote has stopped working the boot lid. When I first had the car, 2 months ago, I had full remote operation, close, open, everything. Now its stopped, nothing else affected. No updates or other work, just stopped. Handle switch works fine, haven't tried the internal release yet as I tend not to use the boot unless I'm standing there. Any ideas anybody ?

Dip Stick (no, really !!)
Hi Everyone Quick question. OK, had the car 2 months, one month of which was in the dealership (long story). So, anyway, thought I'd check the oil, lifted the bonnet and went to pull the YELLOW dip stick It stuck, it seems to be very tight in the tube, didn't want to break it. To re-cap, Yellow hoop, top of the dip stick, sat in a yellow ring, top of the tube. The appears to have two legs, clasps that hold it closed in place on the yellow ring Dealer demo, probably only had its oil checked once or twice so brand new and very tight. Question, is there a trick, rotate first, sqeeze etc or just a good yank !! Handbook is no help Any helpful suggestions before I try and break it ? 🤦♂️😄

Superb - cannot set up Primary User
HI Travs No, mine was bought ex-demo and never worked so I put the arm on the dealer and CC'd Skoda. All agreed and fixed under warranty If yours is still under warranty it should be free providing you can prove the loss of functionality. Good luck and hope it works for you

Superb - cannot set up Primary User
Hi Travs Yes, they can't keep up, which is part of the reason for Apple car play & Android Auto, phone based, always up to date and just a dumb terminal in the car for display Manufacturers don't want to lose control and of course if your signal drops out, you lose everything phone based, so not quite there yet Still, mine is still working fine a month on so mustn't complain 😄 Hope you get your sorted

Superb - cannot set up Primary User
HI Travs Perfect timing, collected the car this morning after the dealer had had it for 4 weeks ! Went in for the SW patch, then they needed a spare module to trigger the update and Primary User re set, this all happened over Christmas and New Year However, that wasn't the end of it. As you know, the software tells you not to start the engine, so its all done Ing on, engine off ,not a great idea over an extended time I was meant to collect last week but an engine check light came on, it was the battery connection. either not connected or not properly. Cleared the light ''come and get it'' Halfway to the dealer I get a call, car is a not starter, go home. NEW BATTERY (result) fitted under warranty, all good. Starts and stops, 50 miles later all seems ok. App works, Primary works, will look to download a POI overlay for the navigation and will report back

Superb Sportline DSG 190ps TSI petrol MPG
Hi David No offence taken. I can see that that would get pretty old, pretty quickly ! Just interested in all things Superb and fuel does represent a chunk of the daily running costs. If caning it gives the same MPG and eco mode (unlikely) then even more fun, so just trying to get a handle on what to expect

Really ? No idea what you're talking about, I've been here one week . . . . . .

Superb Sportline DSG 190ps TSI petrol MPG
Hi EC Interesting about the trip computer. I ripped out the UP! ICE and replaced it with an Alpine head unit with a 9'' screen (fantastic) and along the way lost the UP's trip computer so started doing it all long hand at the pump. Like you, found the trip was over reading (VAG falsifying data, say its not true 🤣) which, in hind sight, is a product of the over reading speedo which all manufacturers do to avoid getting caught on the 'speedo must read' rule Modern TSi engines and getting pretty good now, near diesel levels of economy but without the smell and AdBlue. Loving my Superb, the economy is a bonus 😎

Superb Sportline DSG 190ps TSI petrol MPG
Thanks EC. Pretty impressive, is that in your Golf 7.5 (profile) or in a Superb ? On my normal rotation in y UP! TSi returns 50-54mpg so if I can get anywhere near I'd be very pleased. Anybody else ?

Superb - cannot set up Primary User
Dropped it at the dealer this morning, and discussed with the service adviser. Patch first, if that doesn't work, it's a new ECU module that fits behind the Infotainment screen. Exactly as described by John D. Armed with this info, I got Skoda UK involved and got a loan car out of the dealer and hopefully sometime next week I'll have the car back. I'll report back
