  1. It was really easy to do on the mk3.5, but seems to be much more complicated on the mk4!
  2. Hey @archi332 good to know you've joined the coding club 😁 Your next mission is to work out how to change the colours when you put the background lighting into 'mode' mode. Instructions on how to do it on a golf are here: https://www.vwgolfcommunity.com/vb/forum/vw-golf-world/vw-golf-8/interni-ad/1414069-luci-ambientali-preimpostati-come-modificare (Google translate will do the obvious) But essentially it's module 09 > interior-light-general> mapping_fpa_profile_xx. You need to change the value and see what happens! I've done the attached so far! Ideally I want the following Normal - white ECO - green Comfort - pale blue Sport - red Individual - purple My current setting is the last entry in the spreadsheet, and it's not ideal! Have fun! Mk4 interior lights.xlsx
  3. Not that I can find, I'm going to take my life in my hands and have a conversation with the dealers service dept tomorrow!
  4. I'm confused by the myskoda app. The service bit says inspection in 475 days/at 11000 miles and oil in 339 days/at 6300 miles, my mileage is 8944, should I have had an oil change already? I've had the car from new, since March this year.
  5. Yeah that is odd, I had a camera retro fitted and they coded the button in, but it never worked (it was also not a oem camera) when I had the correct camera fitted I coded the button out as it was pointless!
  6. Apparently there's only an independent washer jet for the camera if you don't have the rear wash wipe. Did you have the camera retro fitted, or was it a factory fitted option?
  7. Have you got the rear wash wipe? If so the wash button will never work.
  8. Canton wasn't an option when I ordered it, so I guess it's just the hole where the canton speaker would be!
  9. I'm looking at upgrading my stock speakers, was probably going to go with these: Focal is-vw-165 Then, while I was sitting in the car today I noticed that the front door card has an opening for a mid speaker. Has anyone put 3 way speakers into a mk 4? Focal make a set : Focal 165-as3 Lol like they'll fit, but will they sound better?
  10. The plot thickens!, I discussed this with the tech that installed it, and he said that he could leave the pipe so i've got it, but they would install it as a 'no washer' install, so why do i have the washer button?? I do have the button on the screen (which obviously doesn't work) and will admit that on seeing the funky connector with the odd red bit on the end of the pipe, I thought that it might be some way of doing the camera washer independently of the rear window. the second pipe i posted a picture of is the one which comes from carsystems.eu, there are a few different options on their site, but all come with the pipe with oem 565955633J which does not have the funky connector, and seems to be very long from the photos!. I've found a part number for the pipe I've got, its apparently the one in the Audi q5, part number 80A955961A. It's about 2 inches too short! I'd be grateful for any advice as to which is the correct pipe i need! (My car is a MY23 hatch with rear wash/wipe)
  11. I used Autologics from Manchester, I'm in Ebbw Vale, and they came to me (on a Sunday!) at no extra cost. They're a bit cagey about fitting the camera with the washer jet, and i think they actually installed the right camera, but with the wrong water pipe., the one i've got is this one: The straight pipe in pics but the pipe that comes with the one from carsytems is a different one : the coiled one The straight pipe is too short to reach the junction at the wiper motor, but the coiled one looks too long !🤷‍♂️
  12. thing is, the water pipe that is attached to the camera has a 3 way connector at the end of it, one male, one female, and one which is possibly female but has a loose red plug in it. I'm thinking that its is something to do with the ability to wash just the camera (theres a button to do that in the camera menu) I'm trying to find the oem part number of the camera they fitted atm, but struggling! I klnow it was an audi part, as i saw the box, but didnt think to get the part number before he buttoned the car back up 🤦‍♂️
  13. I've had the oem camera fitted, it has the pipe for the washer jet, but I only have a straight pipe (no 't' piece to connect it to) connecting to the wiper assembly. Can you help me out with the parts?
  14. Bit of an ask , but here goes! I'm looking for someone with an early mk4, hatch that has the rear camera with washer factory fitted. I'm trying to find the part number for the 't' piece that connects the washer water hose to the camera. TPS won't help cos my VIN doesn't have the camera on it, but someone who had that as standard would be able to get a part number! I had an oem camera fitted today that's got the pipe and a three way connector on it, but there's no way to connect it to my washer pipe 😱🤔
  15. @aaaaplayall you'd need is a European spec tailgate and wiper stalk 😂🤣😂 I'm guessing you don't fancy drilling a big hole in your rear window! I've found a company who will fit the own camera and joint in the washer jet, so I think I'm leaving the search for pipe 😜
  16. So you have all the on screen functions that the oem has, and the washer function?
  17. They all seem to be for the mk3.5, not the IV, but thanks
  18. That's really useful, thanks. But I think that's for an estate, with the rear washer at the top of the tail gate. It looks like a very long pipe, and the distance from the joint in the washer pipe to the camera in my hatch is nowhere near that length! It might be wortha shot though, so thanks again 😁
  19. Basically you have options on the screen when the camera is on, same as the factory fitted version? Mine doesn't, it just has the little picture of the car with the parking sensor lines. I think I'll run with it for a while, see how we get on. Yes it's first world problems, but as is probably the only brand new car I'll ever have I wanted it to be perfect 😂🤣😂
  20. I did my best, but can't find the bits I need. I know it's just a t piece and some connectors, but don't know which ones. It's a good site though, definitely bookmared 😁 Have you ever ordered from them?
  21. Just out of interest, do you have all the functions that the skoda camera had, like changing the view and the washer? Yeah it would take me 3 hours to get to derby!
  22. Fair enough, I've heard good things about the east Yorkshire boys, just couldn't justify the trip! 😂🤣😂
  23. I did, but its a ten hour round trip for me!
  24. No, it's not oem, it doesn't have the functionality of the factory fitted camera. I'm not that happy with it to be honest
