Connect lite login issue
Apparently they are migrating data, I got this reply from Skoda: Thank you for your message about the login issue and we apologize for problems it caused you. We would like to inform you that we are currently migrating our database and this is the most likely cause of the problem with loggin in. We expect the migration to be finished during the upcoming days after which the app should return to normal functionality. If the problems persists afterwards, please do no hesitate to message us again and we will be happy to assist you. Again, we apologize for the problem and thank you for your patience. Kind regards, ŠKODA Connect LITE Team So God knows when it will be up again! Amusingly, the latest update to the app was to correct 'login issues' 🤣😂🤣

Second reverse light activation
Has anyone managed to find the coding needed to activate both reversing lights yet? Would help my Mrs' nighttime parking confidence massively!

Interior lights
OK, so I bought the interior lights from superskoda/kopacek. Boot lights swapped over OK and look good. So I come to do the interior courtesy lights. Remove the cover at the front, pull out old build, push in new light plug. 'crack' bulb mounting detaches from board and one piece drops into car, no no bulb can be installed!! Feck!! So I try with the other side, bulb out, plug in 'gently' all is good, except how do I get the cover back on? Led bulb assembly is about 2cm square, hole in light about 1cm diameter!, won't fit under the cover. (see first pic) Then on to the back-cover off, three bulbs in place, how do I replace them with the unit in second pic? (AA battery for scale)

OBDeleven must haves?
I think he was referring to the fact that you can't see IDE numbers in OBDeleven, I had a good look yesterday and couldn't find them anywhere.

OBDeleven must haves?
I'm sure I have the A5, mine is a 19 plate 245. In obd11 I don't have a '20' control unit but do have an 'A5'

Mk4 colour edition wheel caps
Dunno mate, once the aero covers came off she hated the wheels even more, so I got her some 17's and now she's much happier!

OBDeleven must haves?
Hi, can you tell me how you changed the Hba activation speed? I can only find instructions for doing in it on the pfl, and mine's a fl model. Cheers

Obdeleven coding for mk3.5
Does anyone have any coding guides for the 3.5? I want to adjust the speed at which hba activates, and the guides I've found only seem to be for the mk3. The control unit (A5 - front driver assistance system) is now called just 'driver assistance' and the adaptation suggested isn't in that menu

Mk4 Fabia Owners Register
Registering on behalf of the Mrs, who's new colour edition (that she picked up in June) has just ticked over 500 miles 😱 As I'm about to receive my obd11 unit, are there any coding info out yet?

Wheel refurbishment recommendations
@DoogeOne wheel needs to be welded before it can be re finished (they're diamond cut), so that's the £200 one, the other one has damage that's too deep and so will only be able to be repaired once, and it will have to be rounded off a bit cos of the depth of the damage. The £400 they quoted was for me just dropping the car off and then doing all the stuff you said, so it's probly reasonable!. Price per diamond cut refurb is £140, and the wheels cost £140 ish new - so it's probly not worth it!

Wheel refurbishment recommendations
@CrucianI went to TWS Cwmbran today, seemed like a very good operation, unfortunately the quote they gave me was more than the new price of the wheels 🙁

Wheel refurbishment recommendations
Ah! The inevitable sound of the soapbox climber!! (who also can't understand a simple statement) I didn't hit a pothole, I hit a rock. - "Hit the same rock with both n/s wheels this afternoon" (was that too difficult to understand?) 18's are standard on the vrs because they're the best tyre/wheel combo for the car, and according to the link you sent, there are more options for 18's than 17's. Thanks for mansplaining what 'one at a time' means, I was having difficulty there. Anyhoo, yes it is a lot more expensive to repair them than buy new ones, so once I've moved from the boondocks to civilisation I'll just be buying two more wheels for almost the price of one repair! 17's? Why do you want to drive around on a doughnut? 🤣😂🤣

Wheel refurbishment recommendations
Now I'm p***sed off with living in the boondocks! Hit the same rock with both n/s wheels this afternoon. 😱😭🤬 From the prices I've seen, refurbing the wheels to factory condition might be more expensive than buying new ones. Thinking of powder coating them a nice grey instead. Anyone have any recommendations for the Abergavenny area?

DSG service intervals
Well it's all sorted now, spoke to NW Skoda, the girl there(who did admit she was a trainee) told me I needed a cambelt change abs that the VAQ diff would be done on the 'major' service on my plan. So I thanked her politely and phoned Capitol Skoda in Newport (I'm moving down there at the end of the month). After a good giggle at the cambelt issue we decided I'll have the 'major' service, and I'll pay to have the VAQ checked and oil changed and new plugs for the princely sum of £300.

DSG service intervals
HaHA, ok, now I understand!, I've joined now, and everything seems to be meshed nicely!

DSG service intervals
1hr ? I still can't edit the post from last night! oh well, I might as well pay !

DSG service intervals
yes, but also my pc, I can't find a way to edit my post, is it because I'm new here?

DSG service intervals
@roottoot Don't know what's going on here but I can't get rid of the @ or the quote! @MarkyG82I checked the service plan and it's only one oil and filter and one oil/filter and scope. So I guess I'll be paying a fortune at main stealer for a major service!
-
DSG service intervals
@roottoot yes, it's a 245 on a 19 plate, so it does have the VAQ diff I believe. Strangely enough I've not been told anything about getting it serviced by the dealer, but then they're pretty useless. Charged me a £75 quid diagnostic/investigation fee when the car arrived at their workshop with no oil due to a chuffing great hole in the sump! Then they insisted that I had the oil service 6 months later even though I'd had the car 7 months, it had had an oil/filter change when I bought it, and fresh oil a month later! It's now coming up on its 40k service, (covered under service plan) so I'm going to a different main dealer and asking them to do the VAQ as part of that.

DSG service intervals
Yeah ok, I'm confused! I have a 19 plate 245 with the DKTB engine and apparently TSX gearbox. the perceived wisdom is that the DSG service interval is 40k, but having just spoken to service dept's at two different main dealers (Hortons and NW Skoda) they tell me that the interval for my car is 80k, as it's the 'new' DSG box. Now, I'm tempted to believe them as why would a main stealer pass up work and tell you that you don't need a service, but as usual there seems to be a lot of debate around the issue, and very little hard fact floating about. Has anyone else with the same car on similar (38k) mileage had the same information? (pics for attention, cos i want to show off my new wheels and Tony Banks cat back exhaust!! )

Mk4 colour edition wheel caps
Yeah but they look like clown car wheels with the aero trims on!

Mk4 colour edition wheel caps
Use the wire loop thing in the spare wheel kit, hook it under the plastic as close as you can to the centre, and pull hard, the middle will pop out of it's clips, and you can work outwards from the centre. As for the centre caps, I bought myself some new wheels for my octy last week, so the Mrs said it was only fair that she got some too. Ordered her 17" procyons from TPS at £149 per wheel, £40 cheaper than Skoda

Mk4 colour edition wheel caps
Cheers @Drewmacthough I'm waiting for the dealer to get back to us as I phoned him today and said "she loves the car, but hates the wheels, what can you do?" we may be able to pay a little more and get oem 17's, but they may just say sod off!

Mk4 colour edition wheel caps
The clip in one's will work, as the centre bit of the aero trim has the clips in it. I think it's 60mm but just wanted to be sure
