Ron 95 to 99 back to 95 rattle
Ran the first 100k on mainly 95 occasionally 99 for bit of a clean Upon discovering tesco momentum is only 9p dearer ive used that for the last 25k Being a private hire driver and using a lot of fuel i've recently gone back to 95 with the costs Its coincided with an engine rattle under load If it is down to change of fuel will the engine adjust and rattle disappear sticking with 95 or am I best going back to 99 ? Car is a octavia 3 1.5tsi 2019

Cambelt and head repaired ?
Seen a peugeot for the missus , few years old but perfect for her. Its advertised as recently having head and belt done but no receipts as garage selling it did the repairs. Is there a way of checking the work has actually been done and not just a way of bumping the price up ?

Permanently disable A.C.T ?
Regardless if this is what id9 causing the issue or not probably worth doing anyway. Quick Google hasn't really helped me, is there a product recommended for a diy job or worth booking in with a garage ?

Permanently disable A.C.T ?
Cars done 119k miles , only for last 10k has the vibration been an issue , nothing at all before that. It's purely when act kicks in it starts , soon as eco pops up on the dash i get the vibration and it disappears as soon as eco disappears

Permanently disable A.C.T ?
As the headline suggests, can you permanently disable the ACT system. The vibration im getting now as soon as it kicks in is quite severe. Had it in with 2 local vag garages to have a look to see if there is a repairable issue, nothing found. Popped into one local vag garage and rang main dealer both have told me it can't be done. Not many returns on Google but some suggest that it can be done Car is 69 plate octavia 3 1.5 tsi

Misfire at 29-32 mph in 4th gear
Changed spark plugs today no oil on any of them , slight improvement with vibration but still an issue in 2 cylinder mode. Thinking I might if its possible and not likely to cause other issues to have the act disabled Is this possible and advisable to do ?

Misfire at 29-32 mph in 4th gear
Do all garages now just rely on what the diagnostics say ? Had car in at different VAG specialist yesterday for same issue , car still vibrating in 2 cylinder mode, got a call to be told no misfire codes showing. So I asked if anyone had actually driven it to be told they were just reading the report they'd been given So I asked if someone could actually drive it to acknowledge the issue, feel like banging my head against a wall

Does a disappearing engine management light mean whatever the issue was has corrected itself ? I was always under the impression light was there till it was cleared manually I'd payed £115 for the charcoal box last night as I thought it was likely to be that due to me regularly overfilling 🙄 Probably will still get it changed though Engines still misfiring in 2 cylinder mode !
