  1. I am experiencing the same issue as you at the moment. Your earlier post on voltage is similar to mine (running on 12v +/- most of the time). My current AGM battery lasted less than 3 months before going flat. When I unplugged the BMS (Battery Regulator) from my car battery, charging shows 14v. I visited a number of workshops on this issue and they believe the alternator is working fine. I will investigate on the earth point on the starter motor next week.
  2. I did a replacement of a new MCU in the end as the rebuilt was only 1k cheaper.
  3. I considered this too as part of my research for resolving MCU issues. Unfortunately reconditioned MCU in Singapore is not cheap either. A reconditioned unit cost around SGD$3k with oil and labour versus brand new at SGD$4300 with oil and labour.
  4. I’m based in Singapore and my DQ381 MCU failed when the car was 3.5 years of age and around 65000km. The agent controlled this part and local suppliers do sell them without hardware warranty. Reconditioned sets are not cheap either. In the end, my workshop managed to source it from TVS with 1 year of hardware warranty. Total cost of replacement on a new MCU, fluids, programming and labour cost me SGD$4300… and I got my TVS DSG tune back with the replacement. Just sharing.
  5. This is likely a mechatronic failure. Pretty expensive to replace.
  6. My Superb L&K from year 2020.
  7. I am using Trapo Hex car mats and simply love them! The driver's mat does wear off faster than the rest but my current set is still going strong after 2 years! Car Mats (trapo.asia)
  8. What is the best way to verify if I am on 2Q0 or 3q0 radar?
  9. Hi all, Greetings! I am driving a Superb L&K, manufactured in year 2020. Some newer variants of Superb sold in some countries are equipped with 360 panorama camera. I have been on a quest to identify means of sourcing the parts and installing this. Has anyone done this modification before? I've been researching for a while now but found limited information, particularly on the need of coding in order to enable this function. Sharing on my research so far: - VAGEXPRESS seem to carry the parts: For Skoda Superb Kodiaq original 360 panorama 360 degree panoramic image Super original 360-degree panoramic image (vagexpress.com) - Online picture from AUTOBICS seem to suggest that it is doable 2021 Skoda Superb 360 degree Camera - AUTOBICS - SATNAVSYSTEMS from the UK is able to do this for those in the UK Area View / 360 Camera Upgrade for VW, Audi and Skoda - Bing video I've reached out to VAGEXPRESS and pending their reply.
  10. Sorry for the very late reply. I was out of touch from briskoda for a while now. An update to the 360; The supplier from China is not 100% that the parts will work. While he can source for all the items in the picture, the existing buttons alongside the gear knob may not be compatible given the various variants available. I'm still need to progress this.... maybe I should start a new thread?
  11. Thank you for sharing! I'm keen to enable this for my Superb! Roy - Singapore
  12. Update: 1. Steering controls - this was resolved through a LIN convertor which allow buttons to be programmed. 2. Drive select and start/stop button - I installed this and it is working well. Purchase link included here. There’s 11.11 sale. Great deal! https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256802851402654.html
  13. Thank you for advising! I’ve assessed the link and translated into English. It appears to be hefty work! 😪
  14. Hello guys, I need some help here! Purely from a vanity standpoint, I’ve changed my steering wheel. After installation, the buttons to the left pertaining to multimedia (music, volume, skip tracks etc) are working fine. However I noticed that some of the buttons on the right do not work. I need advice on coding 2 of the buttons to the right hand side of the steering wheel to reactivate: 1. Changing of digital cockpit views 2. Menu that list down the various vehicle optionality (e.g., Vehicle status, oil temp, reset trip counter etc) Can anyone help?
  15. I found a supplier from China. The same dude who sold me the VW TPMS and module holder. He has everything except the grill. I will check with him if he is able to secure stock. OBDEleven has an app feature to turn this on without coding. I’ve been researching and can’t find any precedence on this modification so it will be a risky project…
  16. Sharing some photos on how the different cockpit view will look like with TPMS.
  17. @JR RS- Thank you for your guidance throughout this journey. I repeated the steps in OBDELEVEN from start to end again and it is allowing me make all the coding changes listed by you, inclusive of the part that I originally got stuck. Everything is displaying correctly now. It is nice to see how TPMS info is being integrated into the display panel as well as the dashboard, particularly more so on a digital cockpit. Now onto the next project that I am contemplating - OEM 360 Camera on Superb.
  18. Thank you @JR RS! Just to confirm. Byte 27, Bit 4, 5 & 6 as well as Byte 28 Bit 7: are these Bits supposed to be tick or untick? The screenshots above appeared to be ticked. Modify ABS coding Controller 03 – ABS Coding Select Long Coding Helper Byte 27:- Bit 4 – Dectivate/Untick Bit 5 – Dectivate/Untick Bit 6 – Dectivate/Untick X111XXX -> X000XXXX Byte 28:- Bit 7 – Dectivate/Untick 1XXXXXXX -> 0XXXXXXX
  19. @JR RSYay! It works! But I think certain coding was not done right as I do get pop up messages on my dashboard that TPMS was deactivated. I could not execute the following steps via OBDELEVEN. Modify ABS coding Controller 03 – ABS Coding Select Long Coding Helper Byte 27:- Bit 4 – Dectivate/Untick Bit 5 – Dectivate/Untick Bit 6 – Dectivate/Untick X111XXX -> X000XXXX Byte 28:- Bit 7 – Dectivate/Untick 1XXXXXXX -> 0XXXXXXX
  20. I bought the same VW TPMS module which means that it should come with pre-loaded parameter file. Does it mean that i can skip this step then?
  21. Can't agree more. Nothing beat a clean dashboard with OEM integration. Also I am excited with this project and hope to enjoy the journey (learning!) to get there.
  22. @JR RS - Thank you for sharing this with the community. I am Roy from Singapore and I current drive a Skoda Superb L&K manufactured in year 2020. Inspired by your post, I too bought the VW TPMS module, sensors and mount. My car tyre shop installed the internal sensors in my car 2 days back and I will need to progress forward with the installation of TPMS module and wiring. I am not sure how to proceed with step 3 and 4 (VCDS & VCP) so will need to google more and figure out how this can be done.
