  1. I have the same resolution, Crank Sensor. Nothing on the diagnostics but the garage suggested this and I trust them. Car’s travelled well over 1500 miles since, multiple journeys and without incident. I think for this symptom specifically and more likely on the highly mileage vehicles, there’s a high chance it’s this sensor that needs replacing. Also, it’s a good warning because if this sensor completely fails, I think you’re likely to not be driving at all.
  2. Diagnostics should be done Thursday, and another 300 miles will go on earlier in the week… will go from there.
  3. Hi @Cooper1275, I have the exact same initial symptom as you but in a 2017 Diesel Superb with around 130k. Drives fine all the time, serviced regularly, just recently introduced this occasional blip, which lasts nothing more than a second. No errors, no warning lights and no juddering before or after. Happens maybe 1, 2 or 3 times per journey, at any point, no hills involved. Can be around town at slow or high speeds, with or without ACC engaged. Feels a little like an ACC braking intervention... and the radar for that was replaced in the last year. Concerned this signally something more fundamental, the car is our workhorse and does a good amount of miles around the country so I would like to maintain it, but concerned that it may not even be throwing faults for a garage to see. Any insight would be great. Thanks in advance
  4. Morning @S555NOB ... I have the exact same issue, did you manage to find the root cause and fix it ?
  5. yep, new car so should be covered... if you're lucky it will be simple and they'll just charge you £60 for conversation !
  6. if it's a 2021 vehicle i would be suprised if it was a microswitch in the key.... do you have more than one set of keys with the same problem ?
  7. Thank's @digifish there was a similar thread elsewhere and they believed it was resolved with a replacement boot handle. This has been my suspicion too. Our handle is temperamental and the other occurrences I have heard of, all had non-functioning boot handles. I think the microswitch fails in the handle and causes the open/close commands to be sent erratically. Hoping the handle replacement resolves the issue. Doesn't appear to be very common.. and the dealership headed straight for a £1000+ strut replacement. A Boot handle is about £140. I will post again if/when resolved. Hopefully before the unrelenting boot closure guillotines our dog !
  8. My boot would literally take that thing's head off
  9. Hi... just wondered if you resolved this issue? I have been thinking microswitch in the handle, as that is temperamental (doesn't work everytime). Sometime's the boot opens as normal, other times it opens only on the key fob beeping as standard or silently… it can close at any time without warning, under power!! Did you fix it or live with it ? The dealer wanted to replace the struts... then said maybe the boot handle... seemed like an unknown issue.
