  1. VRS if you can afford it then it should be done. And If your ordering new, I would recommend getting the DCC option. I have the same car as you currently and I would not be without it
  2. I had the australian fixes and the SOS chip replaced and so far the issue has completely stopped. I drive a lot across europe and noticed it was just random timing the cracks and pops so I think your dealer might be telling porkies.
  3. Wouldnt be the first time. All those shiny ID3 1st editions (20,000 cars) lacked chips which meant they could not be updated wirelessly (a key advertised feature) even worse for the owners the hardware could not be installed post production due to the way its built the dealer would have to strip the car down to the bone. this was even before lockdown. I would run your VIN number through Skoda Australia recall website print off the recall report and hand it to your dealer. the recall codes are global so if there is something then the dealer will be obliged to search it (advice I got from this forum and credit due to the original poster, sorry I cannot recall your name). Another possibility is they installed an early version headunit?
  4. When mine went in for the updates it took 2 and a half days. They changed some Hardware but the main issue was the software update which crashed on mine too at the dealer. Something about if it loses data connection or the car switches off halfway through the update it can block the car or not update correctly and it has to be started again.

Hello everyone, been lurking for a year and now finally signed up. Owner of a 2021 Skoda Octavia TDI estate which thanks to the information on this forum I was able to get some from factory niggles and problems sorted. Looking forward to contributing with my experiences with my first Skoda
