  1. Did you get a solution : the glow plug system light started flashing yellow. I also got a warning that start-stop was faulty and that the ACC (adaptive cruise control) was faulty.
  2. If only - I used a second hand intercooler for €70 from https://www.partan.eu/en/ and fitted it myself using the video for reference - it is working fine with the last 8 months - glad to fix the coolant issue as it was wrecking my head

  4. I still have an ongoing issue where I have been losing coolant which has progressively got worse over time but now I believe it to be from the intercooler - coincidentally I previously had an issue where the car would initially not turn over first time - almost like a failing starter or battery failure - It would throw a code "5456 starter will not turn" - I tested the voltage on the battery and it would drop to 8 volts when cranking - then one morning it did the same but never again - same day my car overheated to 130 and got an engine stop warning - the water pump had failed - so I believe the water pump was jamming up when starting and something broke within the water pump on that day - after replacing water pump I no longer have any issue with starting the car
  5. Any tips on changing it? I have one on order from partan.eu (04L 129 766 S) for €78 including shipping. This is the same part number as the one currently installed in my 2015 Octavia - The main dealer wanted €1076 for a new one (BA model). I have ordered the gasket from them though (04l129717D) My Octavia with 138k miles is currently losing coolant, the bottle seems to be getting pressurised - if I open the cap the coolant jumps back up after I drive - at the weekend I bypassed the coolant pipes on the intake manifold to test and the pressurising stopped so fairly sure the intake manifold is causing my problem
  6. Thanks Sj001975 , Initially I was loosing approximately 500 ml over a 1000 miles travelled but I think it appears to be getting worse as the distance is less now for the same loss. Do you have yours bypassed now for normal usage? Do you know if there are any negative impacts if any of bypassing this cooler completely? Cheers mate
  7. Hi All, Jumping on this thread .. I am also loosing coolant on my 1.6 TDI CLHA 2016 Skoda Octavia 4x4. From this thread I believe I also have a possible leak on the charge air cooler. From the forums If it was the EGR cooler I believe I would see a lot of white smoke on startup which I do not. I was wondering if I can bypass the charge air cooler coolant flow and connect the inlet and outlet air cooler pipes to each other and drive the car like normal to prove whether this is the issue or not? What are the risks of doing this if any? If its bypassed and no coolant is lost then I will know that is the issue for sure. On the You tube videos below the Air Charge Cooler / Intercooler is tested in both videos once it is removed and changed in the subsequent video. but I would like to test it in the car before removal if possible. Interested to know any comments / info Thanks
  8. Hi all, I have a noise from the rear of my 4*4 2015 Octavia estate - think it's the rear left bearing - have you any advice or tips for changing them as the 4*4 appear to be more complicated than standard and I don't see any YouTube videos on them. Thanks
  9. Hi, Just reading your thread and noticed you have changed the rear bearings and I'm looking for some advice. I have a noise from the rear of my 4*4 2015 Octavia estate also - think it's the rear left bearing - have you any advice or tips for changing them as the 4*4 are more complicated than standard and I don't see any YouTube videos on them. Thanks
