It took me a while to discover that RED Charge is reduced charge rate. My onwers manual says nothing very much about it and certaining nothing technical. Can someone give me a bit more technical information about it. Number stats?

I may have an issue with. my dynamic suspension which always feels hash and seems to react badly to pot holes. Dealer assures me that they removed the transport blocks but I'm going to run it to the dealers to get them to check it. I can see the plastic gator on the drivers side suspension is not correctly fitted so i want that fixed anyway. I had my last car for 20 years and got used to how comfortable it was. I now find I am steering away from any imperfections in the road surface as my skoda seems to rattle rather than glide over them. Any feedback on how comfortable a octavia estate with DCC standard 16 inch wheels should feel?

Dreadful. write to the director Skoda uk personally. Every Skoda advertisement or post on social media poor scorn and highlight your experience time and time again. Tell potential customers to think carefully before ordering and highlight you are not an isolated case.

Strange the different warranties you get in different countries. No problems with the car thus far but I do find the suspension harsh compared to my 20 year old focus estate. Been a blooming good car that and nice to drive. Keep enquiring about the status of your new car, it may come sooner.

Anyone know what this little green wire is an where it should go. SEL PHEV. Right hand side of boot. Just odd place to have a hanging wire.

I collected my Octavia Mk4 IV SEL estate / combi today from the dealer. Ordered 22nd Feb 22 original delivery estimate August 22. I started complaining to Skoda uk December 22 about lack of delivery information. Received the £100 sorry it’s late voucher from Skoda uk and fee life shine from the dealer for the delay. The dealership had a number of IVs so batches are starting to arrive. All those waiting I hope you get your cars soon. Regards BRS

I collect my Mk4 Estate SEL PHEV Staurday 27th May. Been a long wait. But not as long as others. Ordered Feb 22 with delivery Estimate Aug 22. December 22 I started writting to skoda Uk with the threat I'd escallate and wite to anyone who would listen - consumer programmes - all Skoda Directors, All Directors of the group that owns Skoda - all the cancer groups I belong to asking people to share my stroy with any cancer groups others belong too. I have incurable cancer so asked if they intended to deliver my car while I was still able to drive it or postumously? This started things rolling and after being told they werre trying to move my delivery date moved forward I was told it would be built week 14 up from an original unconfirmed and never previously communicated build week of week 38. Build came forward to week 13 then week 12 then back until that car was eventually build week 16. Its taken a which from build to get the car shipped from Emden to the UK and now the dealers. I suspect it was a case of the squeeky wheel gets the grease so if you dont complain you sit in the line. Make a bit of noise and you may get your car sooner than had had you just wiated for things to take their course. When Skoda UK asked to close my complaint, I refused and insisted they update me weekly. I suspect they report open customer complaints as a performance metric perhaps number and time open. Anyway been a longwait and I hope I am not disapointed. I will update my entry of the tracked spreadsheet and post a picture when I collect the car.

I have got my VIN and registration number. Waiting for car to get from port to dealer. SEL estate PHEV ORDERED mid Feb 2022. We tend to see cars arriving in batches so I hope the next batch are dispatched to those waiting soon.

Given all the little and not so little software bugs in the Octavia Mk4 is an OBD2 an essential purchase for an octavia owner. Not thinking of coding but don't want to pay a dealer everytime something may have gone wrong. Seeking the collective wisfom of the group as I could not find a specific OBD2 thread. Even when you car is built it sits in port for ages. MY car was built 19th April when it was listed at Emden code 39 released for transport. its still there. Skoda can't build em, skoda can;t ship em. Shambles.

One car transporter went into Grimsby. EMS Highway

I heard this from my Dealer who sent me a screen shot of the car information. I should get the car in May.

My Octavia iv SEL ordered Feb 22 built and at Emdon port week 16 after much complaining

I will never know if this moved my car forward or not. However, I went from no known delivery date at time I started complaining Dec 22 to week 38 with the promise they would try to move it forward. I then went to week 12 then 11, then 14,15,16,17 and back to 16 when the car was built. I think had I not complained and kept on at them I would at best be week 37, 38 like the others who ordered PHEV at the same time as me. I also have refused a number of times to have my complaint closed or remove the need for them to keep me up dated. Dealer has sent me a screen shot showing I’m code 38. Next comms with Skoda uk penned in for 26th March. The spreadsheet is a great and valuable asset in my opinion. Don’t forget you can order it as you wish. Order date. Engine type. Etc. to see who ordered similar to you in a similar time frame.

Please note I highlighted in my letter that I have incurable cancer and may have a limited time to drive and enjoy my new car. This may have had more impact than a standard complaint. I suggest all those waiting for cars or information write to Matthew Bowden at the address or e-mail him at the customer services e-mail. Ask him to personally respond and take charge of your case. It is a mk4 iv plug in hybrid SEL trim with the 1.4 engine. The current mild hybrids are 1.5 although I understand after the next styling update the PHEV will come with a 1.5

My car has been built. Octavia SEL PHEV some extras ordered Feb 22. Original delivery estimate Aug 22. I wrote and started complaining to Skoda uk and corporate Dec 22. I suspect this may have helped bring my delivery date forward from Aug 23. Even then the build drifted from week 11 back to week 16. Case of squeaky wheel gets the oil. I should get it in a month they say. I hope all those others waiting get their cars soon.

If you do have an incident where a pedestrian, cyclist, horse rider, mobility scooter rider etc. is injured or heven forbid killed and you have removed the sound generator or silenced it a side from possible criminal liability your 3rd party insurance may be invalid leaving you personally liable for damages or costs. I'm no legal expert but I'd consider carefully before disabling a specific safety device designed to protect 3rd parties. I woukld say it is reasonably forseable that an accident could occur due to a totally silent car in motion and therefore not taking reasonable precautions to limit the risk would mean your risk is not ALARP. Where bereaved families do not get what they consider justice through the criminal courts they are increasingly seeking redress through the criminal courts. If they can't see you in prision they will take your, house business or other assests to punish you. Caution is advised.
