  1. I too ordered SEL PHEV estate early Feb 22. Similar info. Order recently accepted by factory. Dealer suggested he may have news of a build date end December. I had my old work horse a 1.8 Focus estate 53 plate MOTed and serviced beginning of this month to keep me mobile while I keep waiting. I have incurable cancer so it would be nice to get it while I can still drive and enjoy it. Incurable is not yet terminal.
  2. Any one know why the PHEV charging socket is not designed such that the flap can be closed when the charging cable is inserted? This would seem like a better Idea than leaving the flap, which is not all that robust, open when charging? I wonder how long it will be before a system like a vacuum cleaner cable retractor is used to keep things neat? I assume the PHEV has a safety interlock that prevents you driving off with the charging cable attached.
  3. Just had a call from the salesman at my dealer. He tells me my order has been accepted by the factory and expects further news on build shortly. Is the genuine good news or just sales and marketing flim flam? 1.4 PHEV ordered feb 22.
  4. Could not spot you on the spreadsheet. Been waiting long?
  5. Ordered PHEV SEL Feb. Original delivery estimate 24 weeks. Well past that now. Latest from dealer no information, no build date. My aged Focus estate will need mot and service December. Will require more money spent keeping old reliable ticking on for a few more months. Hopefully others will receive card on time
  6. I don't get the spend lots on car audio movement. Sorry to say, but I am not a fan of cars on the road providing travelling noise polution. I much prefer those who keep their audio to themselves. Personally I don't see much point in spending 1000s on audio in a car which will always be a compromised envirnonment for quality sound. I know some seek volume above everything else. They will perhaps enjoy sound in middle to later life throgh hearing aids. Some very good digitally tunable ones ont there now. In terms of sound in a car, unless high end sound and noise cancellation has been built in from the start as with very high end motors. The aim of which is not normally sound but its elimination. The result may be better than stock but will always disapoint if purity and perfection is requied. We all have Personal choice and everyone is different but expensive audio in an average average car is not how i'd spend my money but I fully respect you choice to do so if that is your thing. Enjoy your modifications. its intersting to see what others do. 👍
  7. As for the correct side Jorgeminator I think I will park that arguement. To the right naturally. One can tell the preference for the left by the location of dash cam usb socket. the main conrol buttons for the center info screen and the location of the bonnet release. Hood if you are american. I'm still waiting for my Octavia ordered Feb 22 promised 24 weeks delivery. The increasing number of deliveries on the spreadsheet was good to see but the removal of the PHEV from the current range is a concern for someone waiting for one. I find some of the little tip bits about settings really interesting and I look forward to trying them when I finally get a car. One thing more - if anyone has have ordered a Mk4 Octavia and not put your details on the spreadsheet please consider it, as it gives us a good data set providing people keep it up to date. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17h4myLSMpZ3dohgDJX25mkOhKLbyepEaeEeYcA3AqFY/edit#gid=0 We have not seen many orders added for August, Seprtember and October. I hope that those waiting for a car get it soon and those with a new Octavia keep sharing their views and opinions.
  8. You do realise the steering wheel is fitted to the wrong side. Apart from that good to see you get your car at long last.
  9. It’s not a poverty spec car. Many people never own a new car of any description. I hope you enjoy your first Skoda.
  10. Skoda media link. Same stpry we build to the parts we have available - https://cdn.skoda-storyboard.com/2022/03/FAQ.pdf?_ga=2.70305939.2063101485.1665513946-9c996a94-fb19-40b0-9b51-91151157599d&_gl=1*1b7fbrb*GA4_ga*OWM5OTZhOTQtZmIxOS00MGIwLTliNTEtOTExNTExNTc1OTlk*GA4_ga_CR52PEW89M*MTY2NTU4Mzk5MC4yLjEuMTY2NTU4NDM3MC4wLjAuMA..
  11. The spreadsheet is to me a great source of information. I sorted the spreadsheet by engine type and what it showed was not good news for those waiting for a PHEV. Not that this is unexpected. But it is interesting to see what within the small sample we have is being delivered and when. Its good to see cars being delivered month on mouth even if they are not comming in the numbers or as fast as we would lik. It was but a few months ago when nothing was turning up. Could I ask that those with an entry on the sheet keep it up to date and those who have ordered and are waiting for a new Octavia Mk4 to consider adding your details. In the absence of honest accurate information from Skoda it is the best source available to us.
  12. How many police forces use radar rather than lazer these days?
  13. I'm awaiting my first auto DSG PHEV having driven manuals all my life. I have had autos as hire cars and had one this week. I'm old school in that I've always used engine braking even though that is not taught anymore. It being chaper to replace brakes than a clutch. On my journey I automatically pushed for the clutch when approching a junction to loose pace and braked hard. Nothing behing so no drama this time. Any tips on driving and auto please. What sequence should I activate functios as it was always engage clutch, apply handbrake, remove from gear and turn off indicator if being used. When waiting in traffic or at the lights should I engauge the paring brake before or after I go to neutral rathe rthan sit with my foot in trhe break? Alos how do I correctly use the flappy paddles and when? Perhaps i need to book a couple of drving lessons to improve my technique. I am not the best driver in the world. Given there are no stpuid questions I thought I'd pull on the collective knowledge to improve my technique. Cherrs for any responses. BRS
  14. You sure its deleted? it was there for me just now. Someone may have just hidden some data.
  15. I spoke to a dealer weekend and other models in the range can be ordered and delivered in 12 weeks, Octavias 52. Not good. Nice to see 130 on the spreadsheet and at least we are seeing increasing numbers of cars delivered each month.
  16. Monkey07 did not see you on the dekivery spreadsheet.
  17. Is this part not very robust? I have PHEV on order so interested if I may need to get a spare as come in handy.
  18. Good to see some people getting cars. A couple of months back no one was getting anything. Disapointing that others are getting promised delivery dates pushed back. Can I ask those who order or are waiting for a new MK4 Octavia to add their details to the spreadsheet and keep it up to date as it gives us the best and most honest picture we are likely to get, accepting it is just a small sample of those waiting. Thanks you all BRS
  19. Think how much happier you’d have been if it had been delivered in 3 months or less.
  20. Have you considered setting up an order delivery tracking spreadsheet fot the Kodiaq similar to the one we have in the octavia mk 4 group?
  21. Snoda and anyone else waiting for an Octavia Mk4 feel free to add your details to the thread spreadsheet. The more information we have the better informed we will be. Dealerships and lease compamies information has in some cases been shall we say optomistic. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17h4myLSMpZ3dohgDJX25mkOhKLbyepEaeEeYcA3AqFY/edit#gid=0
  22. I was quoted 24 weeks to deliver an SEL PHEV. A month later the dealer advised that cars being ordered then were now 48 weeks. The following month delivery if ordered then 52 weeks. I get a monthly update. Basically nothing new. No build date. No new estimated delivery date. The spreadsheet gives reliable information on whats happening. Without it I'd be reliant on my dealer for what is happening.
  23. This month was my original estimated delivery month. 22/08/22. Dealer called today. No build date as yet. He did report they have seen some cars being delivered and some models arriving faster than others. I hope all those waiting, receive their vehicles soon.
  24. Customer service at its finest.
