  1. Have you checked the battery? the chiming is usually a sign of a flat battery.
  2. Hi All I have fitted an AGM battery, Exide EK700 70Ah 760A 096 in my 2010 mk2 Greenline 1.6 tdi. Does the car need to be "told" it has a new battery and an AGM battery fitted via VCDS? Thanks.
  3. Hi Yes, the cold diagnostic option is not there never mind I'll just have to live with it, LED headlights are really good I have never liked driving when it is dark, but these make a big difference especially as I am getting on in years lol.
  4. Thank you for your reply, so that's what it's called cold diagnostics bulb checking. I will look into that I use Android and have the ELM Bluetooth adaptor. What is the version of the beta release.
  5. Hi I don't mean to hijack the topic, but my issue does involve LED head light bulbs. I fitted H1 and H7 and H8 (Think its H8 fog lamps) in my Octavia mk2 2010 Greenline Diesel and when I first switch the ignition on, they all flash about 4 or 5 times then stop flashing I don't get any bulb errors on the dash, it's just the flashing when ignition is first switched on. Can anything be done to stop them flashing apart from fitting back the halogen one's. Thanks.
  6. Hi I use Carista and it can be done with that, so I'm sure VSDS will do it.
  7. Hi, The LEDs are excellent the beam pattern and focus are exactly the same as when the halogen bulbs was fitted that's on the H7s. The H1 bulbs I had to modify the bulb holder as the LED was horizontal and the beam pattern was awful, modified the bulb holder so the LED was vertical and they are spot on, the difference is amazing, I had HIDS before but these are ten times brighter, never been flashed by an oncoming vehicle. Yes the LEDs do have some sort of driver box on them, I might try load resistors if they don't work I have a set of H7s without the driver box on, and they did bring the bulb out warning on, and yes they did flash too so may try them with the load resistors if they do not work on the other ones.
  8. Thank you for the reply, yes I am aware that it is a bulb check function but my question was can it be turned off with vcds?, I have tried so called canbus eliminators that did not work as it was only a capacitor in a box, I haven't tried load resistors (yet) but the problem with them is they get very hot and I would not be able to fit them inside the headlight as they would melt the plastic, do you have vcds?, and do you know if it can be done?. Thank you.
  9. Hi New here can anyone help?, I fitted h7 and h1 led headlight bulbs, I don't get any bulb out warnings on the dash, but what happens when I switch the ignition on they flash about 5 or six times, only happens when I switch the ignition on. Is there anything that can done?. Thanks.
