  1. My hasn’t restarted this morning after disabling Bluetooth and WiFi. I am on iPhone. obviously not a long term solution but good to see that the issue may be getting narrowed down a little. Car is at the dealers next week so I will see what they have to say about the issue.
  2. It is a bit design over function but as most people have said, I just put them in the upright position and forget about them.
  3. Thanks for the responses. I will take a look at additional sound insulation. If I remember correctly someone posted on here about their process so will take a look for tips.
  4. I have a 2023 vRS and after doing a few longer motorway trips now. I notice that the wind noise around the windows is a little intrusive. Does anyone have any ideas on potential resolutions? would wind deflectors work? Thanks in advance.
  5. I have Carly and it is locked out from a load of customisations. I am looking to buy ODB Eleven.
  6. Glad to see some build dates for the iVs at last. Hopefully they will actually be on time with no further delays.
  7. I hate not having the cover too. Was looking at 3rd party one https://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/VW_Audi_Cupra_Skoda_EA888_Gen_4_Carbon_Fibre_Engine_Cover--product--2146.html?gclid=CjwKCAiA_vKeBhAdEiwAFb_nraJ_eS8Zg7-3UysP1_86Hn_f4WThhnQc-5X-7Uaw0dKK2KWooz7WdxoCKuMQAvD_BwE
  8. I have looksed on the EU saftey gate site it seems like only cars manufactured between 01.08.2020 - 28.02.2022 are subject to recall. My guess is they decided it was more "cost effective" to just remove the cover for later cars which is why my car didn't come with one 🙂 https://ec.europa.eu/safety-gate-alerts/screen/webReport/alertDetail/10005912
  9. I was under the impression that Skoda were not replacing them, my car didn't have one when it arrived last Monday. The dealer informed me that the cars didn't haved them now and putting my VIN in the Skoda recall actions site returns no recalls. This might just be for new Octavia owners though.
  10. Pic of my car, picked up last monday but forgot to post.
  11. Picking mine up on Monday. Can't wait the colour looks great on the web just hope it is a vibrant in the flesh.
  12. Had a call from the dealer yesteday informing me that the car has arrived. Should pick it up on Monday 23rd Jan, all in all it has been just over a year between order and delivery.
  13. Just had a call from the dealer. My car is complete and on it's way. Should be able to pick up mid January 2023. So if all goes to plan from order to delivery will have been just over 12 months.
  14. I feel your pain. It is a little frustrating. I am glad for those getting their cars, just p***ed mine has not arrived yet.
  15. I have emailed Skoda customer services to see what the progress of my car is and recieved the following reply. Looks like all those options I added won't be helping the situation 🙂 "Dear Mr Waddingham Thank you for your response. I have contacted our Brand Support Team and they have advised that the vehicle has been built. It is currently waiting for the semi-conductors, and they can’t provide a timeline at the moment as to when the parts might arrived. Please be assured we are working hard to find solutions to the supply chain issues. Your dealership will always be best placed to keep you up to date with specific production and delivery issues. I hope this information proves useful. If you require any further information, please respond to this email and I will be happy to assist. You may receive a survey about the service that I have provided. I would be grateful if you have the time to complete this, as it will help me to provide the best customer experience possible. Thank you for contacting ŠKODA UK"
  16. Alcantara is just a brand name for a synthetic microfibre product that feels like suede, so yes the microfibre material mentioned in the options is essentially fake suede.
  17. Hope it works out for you. I ordered back in Jan 2022 and was given build week 44. Got intouch with my dealer for an update first week in Nov and they have sadi the build week has now been changed to week 40 but no further update. They tell me not to hold my breath for delivery this year.
  18. I will vouch for DM Keith in Hull. Never had any issues with them, when I had a skoka from 2015 - 2020. They were a consideration when purchasing my new car after moving to BMW for 2 years.
  19. I used DM Keith in Hull for 7 years when I had my 2010 Octavia vRS. I have to say after moving away to a BMW 435D for a couple of years, which has been an eye opener, though I think everyone should own a BMW at some point just to highlight how good other car brands are. I was not impressed with the BM! One of the reasons I placed an order for a new Octavia vRS is because of the experience I had with them. The guys in the Hull branch are fantastic, and the service department especially go above and beyond to keep the customers happy.
  20. I have the VRS in Mamba Green (Hyper Green in the UK) on order. The more I see the colour the more I like it 🙂
