2012 superb elegance estate 2.0 diesel. do a new battery need to be registered to the car? i have an ancelvd700 code reader that has a battery registration feature, but it will not work on my car.

can you wire the camera in to a switched supply? that's what i was thinking of doing.

my 2012 socket is permanently live. I just unplug the dash cam.

the haynes online one is ok . i use this with a passat paper manual .

the one that came off is sprung the new one just turns. the pointers on the new one doesn't move as you turn it. the old one when in position turn it with the allen key it will spring back if the nut is not tightened the new one just stays there.

i am changing my timing belt 2.0 diesel . the problems i am having are the tensioner in the dayco kit has no tension on the spring so no good . the replacement i ordered the postman decided to throw it over a six foot fence as nobody at home it landed on concreate and now has a damaged edge so no good . i need the car back on the road . is it safe to reuse the old tensioner ?

it depends on how much you want to spend i have been looking at the icarsoft about £150 . it will be my next purchase when the cash is available . for land rovers i use gap iid that costs a lot more but will do most things dealer diagnostics can .

this one i have online for as long as i need it . it can be seen on any device i am using with a password . it was probably my computer skills that messed the erWin up for me . the timing belt change was all going ok until i discovered the new tensioner was faulty now waiting for a replacement to arrive .

i gave in and paid for the Haynes autofix online manual . it looks nice and easy to use clear pictures and diagrams . got it for £20 with the discount code . about to go and do a cambelt and water pump .

i would rather do it then i know whats been done . its not a bad one to do i have done worse . the manual is just useful for torque settings ect . i have got a dayco kit with water pump and all the idlers for £106 so not too bad .
