  1. @bigjohncheers 👍
  2. Thanks mate 👍 @26DIPP
  3. Occasionally my reverse camera will either a) have a very blue tinge to it but still work or b) start with a blue tinge and then stutter profusely with lines across the screen and then eventually cut out and put it back on the rear sensor page & not go back on to the cam. Anyone had any issues like this & know of a fix? Cheers
  4. cheers John 👍 how long have you been doing that for out of interest?
  5. Does anyone know if leaving a usb charger adapter in will drain the battery rapidly? I always unplug it when I remember. The car I bought has had a new battery in the past and wasn’t sure if this may of been the reason? Cheers
  6. @toot I’d thought about remove & refit however wasn’t sure if this would make the sticky adhesive useless? I can’t seem to fit the clips properly and the adhesive is the only thing keeping it in place lol thanks
  7. Hi @DEL80Y thanks for the reply. Did you have any issues with the deflectors being too long at the front? They now fit however the right hand side is jammed between the window seal at the door near the mirror but left hand side is fine? I’ll get pictures on my dinner break.
  8. Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows if you can get the self raising tailgate struts to work on mk2 estate? The boot unlock button on the keys makes it so you just lift the boot rather than pressing the button but didn’t know if you got the struts it makes the boot self raise? If so, do you have any recommendations on which struts to purchase? thanks
  9. Can anyone link a suitable set for F&R wind deflectors? I have ordered a set of team heko ones off eBay and they are around an inch too large, I’ll attach a photo. Did anyone else have this issue? When I manage to squeeze both ends in place the middle of the deflector is bowed out and the window doesn’t close. Don’t want to force it incase it breaks.
  10. Hi mate, yes it was found & fixed by skoda, air intake hose was loose which was giving the loud noise at that rpm. Cheers! @Rkdee
  11. @petrolcan what difference does it make what link I post? Haha. cheers @Warrior193, appreciate it!
  12. I couldn’t tell you mate - it looks exactly like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/173174328075?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=EJ14dzGjR4q&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=bu6sTJ0sTPi&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  13. Hi, my engine gets considerably louder at 1500 rpm then quietens after that. This is when stationary and driving at low speeds at 1500. Has anyone had this issue? It’s 2010 170bhp. It’s booked in with skoda next Tuesday just didn’t know if anyone had experienced this?
  14. Hi, what does the auto button do? I have one with 2 separate lights on it. New to the car so have lots of questions lol. cheers
  15. Hi makman, appreciate the response! I am after a rubber floor cover also. However I was meaning something along the lines of these - cheers! https://www.google.com/search?q=pet+boot+liner&rlz=1CDGOYI_enGB975GB975&hl=en-GB&prmd=sivn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjb5rDCs6H6AhWMQkEAHYSwDNAQ_AUoAnoECAIQAg&biw=414&bih=720&dpr=2
  16. Hi, as the title says. Does anyone have a recommendation for a fitted pet boot liner to protect the boot? Ideally that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg! Seen some online but they’re around £150+. Cheers !
  17. I thought so - cheers! Do you know if they’re known to fail due to the use of coming/leaving home function? I’ve heard the bulbs are pretty pricey as they’re Xenon?
  18. Hi all, recently purchased a super mk2 elegance estate, loving it at the minute. Just wondering about the coming home lights, they have intermittently worked. I leave the lights on auto, will the home lights only work when the auto sensors determine it’s dark? Cheers
  19. Thanks Gaz. Is it a big of a job to replace this prior to it failing? Cheers
  20. Ah my bad I got mixed up, so the 6 speed wet is the one that is not known to have issues? I’ve read the reviews online, a little alarming but there are good ones also. if I was pursue the vehicle I think I’d arrange a pre purchase inspection with rac or aa to check it over due to the distance from me
  21. Hi Roottoot, it’s the lowest on the market I can find for my budget. I would expect the dsg to of been serviced at least once if not twice, I haven’t made contact with the seller as of yet so can’t answer the questions I’m afraid & I live 250 miles from the vehicle so can’t just pop down to look & drive. im looking to make contact with them soon, just wasn’t sure if it’s worth a gamble or not given it’s age as it is a lot of money for me at least and it is 12yo. have you any experience with these model/ year dsg? Anything to look out for? I’m a skoda newbie so very unsure on what year/models have issues, I’ve read that the 7 speed wet clutch can have issues due to the changing of the oil but believe this is 6 & dry (?). thanks
  22. Hi, I’m brand new to this website so unsure if I’m in the right place or not! I’m thinking of buying this Skoda, ( https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202206206958008 ) I know it’s over priced given the way the market is but do you think it’s a bad decision paying that much for a 12 year old car? I need a diesel and the boot space & love the interior etc. Anything I should look out for? No mention of water pump and cam belt so would look to get that cost taken off the price thanks!
