  1. Good Morning fellow midlander. You will find Briskoda a wealth of information with loads of freindly advise from genuine enthusiasts. Enjoy
  2. Update on Exhaust. I decided to buy the exhaust and it arrived on Monday. I cant believe how good it looks! mirror polished and the welds on it are beautiful. Lets hope it fits ok.
  3. Could be a problem with your CAT......... sorry everybody i could not resist. Feel free to ridicule.
  4. That probably explains why they all run like a bag of S##t when they are cold.
  5. Aparently exactly the same apart from some Bora Exhausts are designed to exit under their rear bumper rather than through a cut-out like on the Octy so they sit lower but this one on Ebay has the hanger coming off at an angle. Heat it up bend it a little more and hey presto finishes at correct height for VRS
  6. Very true. The exhausts are from 2fast2cool2 on ebay. I heard from some scobby guys that some of their stuff is alright. But i have also read some posts on here saying thier manifolds were rubbish. VW BORA GTi 20V TURBO TDi DIESEL CATBACK EXHAUST SYSTEM on eBay, also Exhaust Components, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 08-Apr-08 00:21:08 BST) What do you reckon?
  7. I have been toying with the idea of having the sections inbetween the spokes painted black similar and having the spokes polished similar to the wheels on a mini cooper works or the new fiat 500 abarth
  8. Help me make my mind up please. The story goes that i can get an exhaust cheaper by looking for a Bora 1.8t exhaust rather than a Octy MK1 VRS as there are more people catering for VDubs than Skoda. I have found a full stainless cat back exhuast for £130 brand new on ebay but it only comes with twin 3" round tailpipes not a 6" x 3" flat oval similar to the standard MK1 VRS tailpipe. I would apreciate your opinions on whether it will look any good or not. The MK2 Octy VRS has twin pipes which look fine but will it look odd on a MK1? Opinions please

  10. Ouch! Your right always the way, thats why i dont really want to replace a perfectly good exhaust until it starts blowing! Is the clutch a big job on the VRS?
  11. How much did that knock you if you dont mind me asking
  12. I have been looking around a bit on the Ebay and as there a few more VW golfs gti's out there than Skoda's that thier parts are more plentiful and hence cheaper! One advert i saw had a Bora 1.8t cat back stainless exhaust (which i would imagine shares the same mounting points) but this also fitted the 1.9 tdi! Also is the Mk4 golf gti/leon cupra the same length exhaust system or is it shorter? The Octy looks longer or is it a trick of the light?
