Tnx for reply... I have download package for my country from skoda portal, no luck, because there is no uploading logo from external media. Also from this forum the whole db latest version 1.30.50 , but infotaiment dont give any message Start to update. (i have usb c which is ExFAT and with 7-zip unpacked, i mean conditions as they should be) As I understand if radio dont download logo over DAB/RDS info...no chance to make the infotaiment do it anyhow...also limited function from prior mib-s mine is 5E3035816K just as info for other users to know if they loose some logo, after update, that its not big deal...and i also belive that they will appear or because of radio station, or some OTA...

Also update went normal without any issues, after it, I only noticed that radio station logos for some radiostations that I had in favorite list were missing. And as i understand this will be new adventure to sort out

Hi my car will shutdown engine with roling wheels anyhow, i dont even need to press brake hard, i can just put weight of my foot on pedal, and it will shutdown the engine evne tho the car is still moving.

I was thinking to cut off 4 wires from Ali cable, and connect them to same wire numbers in oem cable that enters gateway box. But i need to try connect the scope to this 4 wires from ali electronic to see what comes out from two wires that are signal ones for Can. So in general i dont need cable/connector/socket harness. If this gets good results, than i will connect it. The producer from your link, did the same thing…all those harness is just bypass, main thing is small black box with 4wires and can protocol controler and some ic which affects can to has some state at car power up, and listen to nine times signal to turn off memory function.This four wires are also only added to , i mean connected to current wires on cable connector to gateway. Okay great! But how come these CAN signals can screw up gateway, on people reports not to able to power up car after connecting ali cable. I still did not connect this cable due to 6 months old car, and plastic pins that prevent connecting gray socket to car connector. Did you try Ali cable on any my23 octavia ? Tnx

Some codes tell about factory numbering and the main thing is J series and L series because of two year production time difference...it could mean different design or electronic parts, off course socket is part of pcb and electronics, so it could also had this body/teeth changes. I think that 04S and 05S marking tells gateway model type. On my gateway the pin 28 is missing, also possible difference.... @ALL please if you have schematic of gateway circuit for octy 4, send me on pm, i would like to figure out this 4 signals from Ali SS electronic where is ment to be connected, to possibly prevent ecu fail that was reported. This is the reason why i dont want to connect this cable in car, because the plastic connector can be modified to fit...but if it burns my ecu than f*ck it...its not worth it...

If possible, can you please take one pic of your gateway, when you will have time, just to try figure out why there is differencies between sockets….Thank you in advance.

Okay the cable gray side does not fit connector in the car, so i can not plug this cable. There is little difference in connectors, one from car side has two little teeths slots (first picture) while gray connector on cable side has closed position on that place where two slots would slide in, and i cant plug it. (second picture) Also after connecting original cable back to gateway i got U123100 error (probably because dissconection) but its static so no erasing with obdeleven. the car is 2023 octavia style combi 2.0 dsg.

Some reverse engineering view inside, there is four wires connected to signals on pins 1,8,9,16, in main gray connector. This four wires are going to pcb with arm32 mcu and one gatemode CAN controller. I guess that mcu is loaded with program that continuously cycling off state SS, or it saves last state of SS. Rest of the signals from black to gray connector are strait thru. BR

Yes exactly, i have felt annoyed and decide to find a way to prevent it from functioning, when I was connecting on crossroad from side road and the car shuts down engine, at that time i was pressing trottle because i wanted to get in on main road, and truck driver remember all my relatives in family when he needed to slow down for me to get in infron. If it would be manual gearbox it would never happen….and i was not cutting in. Br Djadjo

Sorry to hear that info…. Maybe someone from this forum with more knowledge will answer you, but in general we can see that update did not pass well or at all. Maybe try to put 1941 on usb and restore if it will accept restore. Or drive the car to dealer, so they could reprogram mmi with oem tools. Maybe say to them that OTA did not pass, to try to avoid expense….decide yourself.

I guess that you have tried to press Power button for more than 10 sec... I dont know did the new sw installed correctly, let say it did, but as you get NOK status, if its applied new files over old files but they did not match...maybe the infotaiment is on some half floating mode, where it cant boot properly, or it cant because the files from update are not matching file system or cant be read, or corrupted.... Hope that 10sec on power button makes some reboot to working mode. Did you try to plug usb back to pc is it readable and do list of files and folders look as before you update the car BR Djadjo

Hi, Can you shutdown the car, lock it to force to power off infotaiment? What was your idea to gain with new update....the guys who update say that they dont see any difference or new stuff... Checksum error means that there is problem with data that its been read from file, so problem can be downloaded file itself, usb drive, bad block on drive. First check file, clean download new, unpack as it needs to be, and be sure that you have decent usb c drive, not some cheap device. If you you use adapter from usb a to usb c it can also be a issue with that... What version was previously installed on infotaiment that worked normal? On your place i would restore to old working version...if this works fine...great, because you have restored functionality of your mmi. Possible you need to upgrade version by version on steps,1-2-3, not from 1 to 3... Mind that not all infotaiment are the same, so be very sure that new update will work on your device hardware. (because it would come OTA by default for your car) i have on octy IV 2023 sw version 1941 and still thinking about wait a little bit to see if the 1969 is issue proof or nest of new bugs...

No because new menu is from newer media unit, you cant transform crt monitor to lcd one…
