  1. I tried doing the mod according to the video but all I got was warning messages on the dashboard so I reverted it. i can stay between the lines anyway . Would have been a nice feature to have though.
  2. Hello guys! I would like to get some help dismantling my armrest. I've managed to remove the bottom plastic part with a pry tool but I cannot find a way to get the top part off (where your arm rests). I cannot find any image, video or description in the topic and I don't want to break it by forcing it. The closest thing I found is a MKII Octavia armrest removing video. The top part on the video seems to have screws but in my car I couldn't find any. So I'm guessing I just need to loose some plastic "locks"? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
  3. Speaking of lane assist... I was wondering if it possible to enable it if my car has traffic sign recognition but not lane assist? There is a comment describes how to do the opposite. I assume, if the traffic signs are recognisable by the car, lane assist should be possible as well. I found this video on youtube: The steps taken in the video summarized: 17 Instruments 07 Coding Byte 4, Bit 6 - Lane Assist > true Byte 11, Bit 1 - Lane retention assistant: BAP distance > true A5 Driver Assistance 07 Coding Byte 16, Bit 7 - HC > true 16 Security Access - 20103 10 Adaptation IDE10873-BAP personalization > not activated IDE10872-Warning intensity: lane depart warning > medium 5F Information Electr (?) 10 Adaptation ENG122229-ENG11740-Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2_LDW_HCA_0X19 > activated ENG122227-ENG117506-Car_Function_Adaptations_Gen2-menu_display_Lane_Departure_Warning > activated ENG122227-ENG117508-Car-Function_Adaptations_Gen2-menu_display_Lane_Departure_Warning_over_threshold_high > activated 44 Steering Assistance 16 Security Access - 19249 07 Coding Byte 3, Bit 0 - Lane assist > true Using OBD11 I can see that the 5F controller is called multimedia in my car, but in the video it is called Information Electr. This doesn't seem right. The video is 2 years old though, maybe an older firmware? Any thoughts on this?
  4. Hi everyone, Today I had an issue with my electric boot. On the first press of the button on the trunk it couldn't open the door for some reason. There was a click like the lock got unlocked but couldn't lift the trunk. On the second button press it opened but the left arm (?) or strut (?) gave some crackling noise. I haven't noticed it before so I'm not sure if it started today or not, but now this crackling noise is there each time I open or close the trunk. I suppose I'll have to replace these in the near future. I was googling for some time trying to figure out which part could fit. I have a 2018 Superb MKIII hatchback pre-facelift. The part number I found is 3V0827851. There is also an A and a B variant (3V0827851A, 3V0827851B). What is the difference? Which one should I choose? Also, on Kevinmajs picture I can see a different part number starting with 3V9. On Ebay I was trying to find parts with 3V0827851 and I found these two struts coming in pair which could be fit in my car: 2x GAS SPRING TAILGATE L=633 145 HUB POWERLIFT FOR ŠKODA SUPERB III https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/304995251911 2x Gasfeder Elektrischer Heckklappe Powerlift für Skoda Superb 3 3V3 Schräghecka https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203632467306 Can someone confirm that one of these will fit? Or help me with any info on what to look for and where? As I read it here I'm better off with aftermarket parts. Thanks!
  5. Today the temperature was 8 °C and the tear drop worked fine while driving. Havent tested it stationary though. Here you can download the users manual using your VIN. https://manual.skoda-auto.com/004/en-com/Models
  6. Sorry for the delay. This is mine: The windshield had some ice on it, so the temperature was around 0 celsius. Maybe I'll try again in a few months when the weather is warmer.
  7. Where can I find this BCM version number? I did the coding with the engine off and the ignition on. When it was done I turned off ignition, then turned on ignition and started the engine. I did the windshield wiping when the car was stationary and I went for a short test drive but there were no tear drop wipe. I wanted to do this only for the front wipers, I didn't check the rear wipers.
  8. Thanks for the tear drops whipe mod! Unfortunatelly it is not working for me. In my subsystem dropdown I don't have 1-3V1 995119-48x LL 70726. I tried to select 48x LL 180510, it has the same values and after updating Byte 0 Bit 3 and Byte 2 Bit 5 the updated hex value became 1E 4D FD. Still, after wiping the windscreen the tear wipe does not start. (also did the adaptation for (6B)-Front_wiper - Traenenwischen Front Status too).
  9. That sounds way too advanced for me. I'm not changing color too often anyways. I'm happy with this as it is. Thank you! I tried googling it but couldn't find it.
  10. Setting the IDE09731-ENG154511-Int. light: 2nd generation-Ambiente_Fahrprofil_Individual to 4 did solve my problem, the comfort mode ambient ligth works now. Thanks for the help!
  11. It seems I overlooked a tiny detail about IDE09731-ENG154511-Int. light: 2nd generation-Ambiente_Fahrprofil_Individual. My guess if I set this to a profile which I don't have - 4 for example - this disco mode should be gone. I'll try this tonight. From the manual page shared by @igrozan I thought the color of the individual profile in automatic mode can be set using the manual mode's color. But the hardcoded colors are fine by me, this is not a deal breaker. Also, I've seen a tear wipe drop mod here. The adaptation part is not a problem, but I couldn't find the bytes to update in long coding using OBD11. Is there a way to select the indicated subsystem? Or this mod is only doable with VCDS?
  12. So I did the mod. Every mode seems to be okay, except the Comfort Mode where the ambient light turns off. Changing to the next driving mode will light up the previous color, then immediately the selected mode's color. Aaaand in the infotainment menu I can see the disco. Also, the color of the individual mode seems to be hardcoded this way and cannot be set using the manual setting. I have a feeling that I will need to update the system firmware for this mod to work properly.
  13. Thank you for checking! After the update will I be able to change the color of the individual mode via manual mode, like the factory behavior?
  14. So, I did some reading. What I understand the coding and adaptations from this link are accurate: https://www.drive2.ru/l/551484522118513248/ From the link and from the comments here I've managed to gather these information: 19 Gateway (coding): FPA_Funktion_AMB: active 09 Central Electrics (adaptations): IDE09731-ENG154511-Int. Light: 2nd generation-Ambiente_Farbwahl_FPA_waehlbare_Kopplung : active 2nd generation-Ambiente_Fahrprofil_Individual : 1 2nd generation-Ambiente_Farbwahl_FPA_waehlbare_Kopplung_Status_hmi_default : coupled 2nd generation-Innenlicht : Keine_Spannungsanforderung ENG153712-ENG154510-Ambientelicht Zuordnung der Farbe zum Fahrprofil : Fahrprofil_0: 1 (doors open) (white) Fahrprofil_1: 1 (comfort) (white) Fahrprofil_2: 1 (normal) (white) Fahrprofil_3: 4 (sport) (red) Fahrprofil_4: 1 Fahrprofil_5: 9 (eco) (dark green) Fahrprofil_6: 1 Fahrprofil_7: 6 (individual) (purple) Fahrprofil_8: 1 Fahrprofil_9: 1 Fahrprofil_10: 1 Fahrprofil_11: 1 Fahrprofil_12: 1 Fahrprofil_13: 1 Fahrprofil_14: 1 Fahrprofil_15: 1 Ambiente : Sollspannungsanforderung 13.5V The colors for the profiles can be these values: 1 should be White 2 should be Yellow 3 should be Orange 4 is red 5 should be pink 6 should be purple 7 is 'dark' blue 8 is 'high' blue 9 is 'dark' green 10? should be 'light' green. According to my OBD11 controller scan it seems I'll need to upgrade my firmware. Somewhere in the comments here I read that I'll need at least 4344. With the firmware upgrade the disco effect should be resolved. Is this correct? Can someone double check these informations for me?
  15. Thank you, guys! I have some reading to do.
