Looking for some new wheels as the ones on my new car came with a lot of kerb rash. Will 225/45 R17 fit Skoda Rapid? Anyone using this size and find them OK?

I know a guy on Facebook doing it for 50EUR, sent me the latest firmware and then the activation codes (need to send your VIN number for those). Worked for my 2017 mib2 Amundsen.

I just did mine over the weekend. There's a lad on Facebook from Romania, charging 50EUR. He sent me one download with the firmware and then another with the activation codes (he needed my VIN number for these). He called me a few times to walk me through the process, nice bloke. I downloaded the firmware to an SD Card, inserted it, ran the update, then repeated the process with the activation codes. My 2017 Rapid now has SmartLink with AndroidAuto and CarPlay enabled.

On my mib2 Amundsen, Menu > Settings > Bluetooth > Paired Devices > Delete All or one by one. My car was previously a hire car, so had loads of phones in it!

I just bought a Cat S 2017 Rapid Spaceback (hand passenger side wing, headlight and the bonnet replaced), with 50k on the clock. Was a gamble, she's a little rough, but drives spot on and very happy with my purchase (especially after getting the mib2 totally updated/unlocked). One of my little niggles though is the driver's side wing mirror doesn't seem to adjust far enough out. Half of my view is the side of the car and I have to lean forward to properly check if I'm good to change lanes. Is this a Rapid thing or is there something wrong with my wing mirror? It seems lined up to the body fine, no damage to the body and the adjuster all works. I've replaced the glass (new clip on job) as the one that was on did seem to be misaligned and catching the housing, but I'm still not able to get the wing mirror adjusted to a proper view. Any ideas?

Update: I got sorted with the help of a Romanian retrofit company on Facebook. 50euro to unlock it all by first updating the firmware, then adding some activation codes via another software update (both sent to me for me to copy to an SD Card). He also helped me to update my nav maps, so really happy. Can she a link, if it's allowed.

@theandywaite thanks so much for listing the steps in one place as I have been looking at the Mr fix videos and wanting to give it a go myself. Have you used obdeleven for anything else? My second hand car did not come with a maps card, so could also do with removing the CID lock.

Sounds promising. Can you give more info on what steps you followed when you "did the patch". I'm sure others would find this really helpful.
